Since TJ turned 8, he is now old enough for scouts. May 25th was his first pack meeting. You gotta love a man in uniform.
Isn't he a cute little bobcat? I'm excited to see all the things he will learn in scouts.May 25, 2016

School's Out for the Summer!!!
The kids last day of school was the 19th of May. As soon as they got done, we got packed and headed to the cabin. It was a little cold and windy but we took Jamie's new boat out anyway.
We also got to see some elk, hang out in the cabin, watch lots of movies and go for a hike. Jamie went back to the lake by himself Saturday morning and got a flat on the way home so we decided to go home Saturday in case something happened. We made up for leaving a day early by stopping and getting ice cream in Pine on the way home. It was a nice, relaxing weekend.

8 is GREAT!!!
TJ was baptized on May 14th by his dad. His baptism day was hectic, and crazy and perfect. There was a peace that filled my home and my heart that day that I wish I could hold on to. Both of his grandmothers gave talks and his grandfathers said prayers. Emmy and Addy did the special musical number - Emmy on the piano and Addy on the violin - and they did an amazing job. And his father was able to baptize and confirm him. It just doesn't get much better than that.
After his baptism everyone came over and ate barbecue sandwiches and then the cousins had a swim party.
It was a really good day. I love this boy. I love the man that I know he will be one day. His prayers are thoughtful and he has a great desire to learn the gospel. I can't wait to watch him grow. We love you TJ and are really proud of you.

End of Year Award
At the end of the year Settler's Point had an award assembly where each teacher gave an award in math, reading and for character. Emmy got the reading award for her class. She loves to read.

TJ's 8
TJ turned 8 on the 10th of May. Down here they only do baptisms on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month so he didn't get to have his baptism on his birthday. But we still had a great day. This kid LOVES music and he wanted a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory CD. So he got that, a Ninjago watch, new clothes and a lightsaber that he had been wanting.
He also loves Star Wars and decided he wanted a BB8 cake. So I did the best I could.TJ is an amazing kid. He is smart, and athletic, and super talented. He wants to be good at anything he tries and sometimes gets frustrated when he isn't good at something right away. He has a strong desire to do what is right and I can't wait to watch him grow. Happy Birthday TJ! We love you!!!

Mother's Day
I love pictures. So for Mother's Day every year I usually want a picture of me with all my kids. This picture represents how I feel a lot of time about being a mom. It so often seems like there is one kid who isn't happy or who you are worried about. Today it happened to be TJ but at any given time it could be any one of them. And that is the one we worry about, we pray for and we try and figure out some way to help. So to me this was a very fitting Mother's Day picture.
And the flowers were from the amazing man that I get to call my husband. I love him.May 6, 2016

Baseball and Softball Season
I helped coach Emmy and Addy's baseball team this year and Jamie helped coach TJ. It made for a crazy 6 weeks, but it was fun to watch them learn and grow and I don't know if I will get the chance to coach them together again so it was good.
