Violin Workshop

The girls attended a Suzuki Violin Workshop on February 20th. Neither one of them had ever done anything like it. They had a masters class where they performed individually for a teacher and she critiqued them and then they had group classes. They got to learn some of the music from Star Wars. I think it was really good for them to get to perform with a group. They both enjoyed it and did a great job!

 

My hope and prayer is that one day these girls will be good friends. The older I get the more I long for a sister. I hope they will learn to love each other and rely on each other.

Addy's Music Program

The first grade class had their music program on the 18th of February. Addy did a great job.

Valentine's Day!

We had a fun Valentine's Day. It started the week before when TJ got the assignment to make a mailbox to hold his Valentine's. His class was having a contest and so he wanted his to be good. He decided he wanted to make a BB8 - the droid from the new Star Wars Movie. I told him he could paper mache one. Well then Addy and Emmy decided they both wanted one. So we had a crazy week filled with paper mache, but they turned out cute.

We also painted faces and had fun hair for Valentine's Day.

I usually get the kids a little something for Valentine's Day -- nothing big.

Sister Shahan was sick on her birthday so we had her party late this year. She turned 98 on New Years Eve. She is an amazing woman and I love her dearly.

Butterfly Wonderland

I got to go on TJ's field trip with him on the 11th of  February. We went to Butterfly Wonderland. I think he was a little disappointed that more butterflies didn't land on him but we saw lots of beautiful butterflies and he got to pet some stingrays. So it was a good day.

Kids Pictures

I have been cycling through getting the kids pictures taken. Here are Rook's, Addy's and TJ's. Rook was horrible, so his pictures weren't fabulous. But at least we got a couple of good ones.

Rook and Evie

While all the kids are in school, these are the only 2 left at home. They have so much fun together and love each other dearly. It is going to be sad for me and Rook when she has to go to school.

Provo Temple

We also went to the original Provo Temple before we headed home. The kids loved playing in the snow.
