Camping

We decided to go camping over Memorial Day weekend. We left Friday morning and came home Sunday afternoon because Jamie had a meeting he needed to attend. We went to a spot that we had gone before down Young Road. The weather was a tiny bit cold, but still really nice and we had a nice relaxing weekend. Saturday Wacey and my mom brought Raylee and Ryder and came and hung out with us for a little while so that was fun. We had a shooting contest, boys against the girls, and the girls won:) We also did a lot of hiking and went and hung out at the creek Saturday afternoon. We stopped at the fish hatchery on the way home. Camping is a lot of work but I think it is good for all of us.

Last Day of School

Emmy and TJ had their last day of school of the 22nd. They both had mixed feelings about school ending. They both really like school, but will be glad to not be quite so structured for a few weeks. TJ's class did a little program for us on the last day so we got to go watch that. And then to celebrate we stopped and got ICEE's on the way home.
This is TJ and his friend Madison.
Mrs. Baars was an awesome teacher and we will miss her.

Ballet Class

Addy had her last ballet class a couple of weeks ago. She LOVES ballet but performing in front of people makes her very nervous. During their last class, they performed for the parents. She was pretty apprehensive but did a great job.

TJ's 6!!!

It seemed like we partied for a month for TJ's birthday. We gave him his big gift the week before his birthday so he could take it to the Father and Sons outing.
Then Jamie and I had a sealing that we needed to attend on his birthday so we told him we would take him out to eat the night before to celebrate his birthday. He chose Chuck E. Cheese. So Friday night we went there as a family.
His actual birthday started with opening the rest of his presents followed by Dunkin Donuts and a trip to feed the ducks.
Later that evening we came home and celebrated with birthday cake and ice cream.
Then a couple of weeks later we met Espersons at the park to celebrate with them.
And then the next day we spent 4 hours putting together the Legos he got. It was 550 pieces and I didn't hardly help him at all. TJ reminds me a lot of his dad. He wants to understand how everything works and is very good at putting things together and figuring out what makes them tick. He also has an amazing memory. If you tell him any kind of story he can repeat it back to you almost verbatim. He also has a very sensitive spirit. He loves learning about spiritual things and can stand and bear a very humble and sweet testimony of the gospel. He is an amazing kid and I am so grateful to be his mom.
Happy Birthday Bud. We love you!!!
