New Years Eve

We had a pretty low key New Years Eve. Our neighbors invited us out to watch fireworks at 7. So we watched fireworks with them and then did a few sparklers and then celebrated with our traditional chocolate milk at 8 with the kids.

96

Sister Shahan turned 96 today. We went to Wildflower Bread Company for her birthday with some of the women in our ward. She is an amazing woman and I feel blessed to count her as my friend. The older I get the more I appreciate the opportunities to serve that the church provides us with and the chance to get to know people I otherwise wouldn't.

Temple Lights

We didn't make it to the temple lights before Christmas so we went Sunday. They had a couple of new displays that were really pretty and it is always good to be on the temple grounds.

Look who's 9 months....

"A" Mountain

Jamie and I both graduated from ASU. He has lived here most of his life and had never hiked A mountain and I had only done it once. So Saturday we decided to hike it with the kids. It is a pretty short hike but it is pretty steep. The kids did great and the weather was perfect.
Around Christmas time they put up the 3 wisemen on the mountain.
At the top.

Christmas Eve

The kids all ready for Santa to come in their new pajamas.
The tree and stockings all ready for little kids to wake up.

Christmas in Taylor...

We spent Monday and the first half of Christmas Eve in Taylor.

Pinata Party

We went up to Taylor on Monday and got there in time for my grandma's annual pinata party. It is fun for me to see my kids participate in a tradition that I used to do as a little kid. These are the great grandkids.
The grandkids...
The kids..
My grandma always gives each of the great grandkids a present.
And then of course they break the pinatas.
