Just Singin in the Rain...

It rained a little bit last night and then started again about 4 this morning and hasn't hardly stopped. Our backyard looks like we irrigated. The kids started begging to go out before it was even light this morning. So about 9:30 they put on their swimming suits and went outside. It had to have been cold, but they acted like they loved it - even Evie.
Evie's Marilyn Monroe pose.
The deal was they were all going to stand there and on the count of 3 all fall down. You can see who chickened out.
Catching some air.

Beautiful Day

We took advantage of Emmy's day off of school and the warmer weather to enjoy a morning at the zoo. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time.

Emmy's Birthday Part II

Last Monday we went to Joe's to celebrate Emmy's birthday with the Espersons. They got her way too much. One picture that I didn't get, was a picture of her new cowboy boots that Nana and Poppy gave her. I think she has worn them everyday since she got them. She LOVES them!!!
Aunt Denise made these cute stiletto cupcakes. So cute!!!

Emmy's 6!!!

It seems like even when I try to keep my kids' birthdays pretty low key they are still spoiled rotten and this year was no different. Emmy wanted chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast so this is my attempt at a Hello Kitty pancake.
I don't think Evie cared what they looked like she just really liked the chocolate chips!
After that she got to open presents from Uncle Wyatt, Uncle Tommy and Grammy and Papa.
Then I took her Hello Kitty cupcakes to school.
After she got home from school, we ate lunch and then Grammy and Papa took her for ice cream and to pick out some new earrings, which she is wearing in the second picture with her cake.

The Hello Kitty cake she requested.
And then we met her dad at Chuck E. Cheese which is where she chose to go to dinner.
And then home we came home to blow out candles, eat cake and open presents from mom and dad.
As you can see, she loves Hello Kitty. She got this giant stuffed Hello Kitty and her dad got her a really cute Hello Kitty necklace.
Emmy is a very sweet little girl. She is very smart and loves to learn. She is such a blessing in our family and we are so grateful that Heavenly Father sent her to our home. Happy Birthday Emmy! We love you!

Children's Museum

Before Emmy headed back to school we wanted to do something fun so we took the kids to the Children's museum. They had actors there from the Peter Pan play at Gammage so they got to meet a mermaid and make pirate hats. They thought that was pretty cool.
