Hancock Family Reunion

Last weekend was my family reunion. We went camping up by Greenspeak. Tommy and Jeanette were in charge and they did a lot of fun things. Shawn set up his zipline again. He had a double swing this time for the little kids. T.J. was definitely not sure about it the first time.
Then we had an egg hunt.
And of course we had to roast marshmellows and have smores.
Then we did a little bowling.
The kids watching the fun with dad.
We also had gunny sack and 3 legged races.
Which my brothers got a little competitive with.
When you ask Addy who's girl she is, 9 times out of 10 she will say Papa's. We finally found out why. He shares his coke.
The kids got to make fun crafts.
 And break pinata's.
And find out where in the world Carmen SanDiego was. Here they are with their detective glasses on.
Tommy and Jeanette put a lot of work into the reunion and we all had a lot of fun.

May Memories

Emmy had her last ballet/tap class a couple of weeks ago. She did really well. She is growing up so fast, both physically and mentally right now. She seems like she has sprouted up the last month or so and has just grown up so much. We are taking the summer off from ballet and I think me and her are both excited about that. We will see if she wants to do it again in the fall or if she is done.
We have also been enjoying the produce from our garden. It has been fun to watch it grow and even more fun to eat.
And just a fun picture of Addy. We made chocolate chip peanut butter bars the other day and she loved them.

S Like Snake

We went to Taylor this weekend to watch Shawn bless their new baby. While we were there the kids found a water snake at my parents house. T.J. picked it up a couple of times before I got my camera, but wouldn't after I got my camera. Emmy actually touched it which completely shocked me.
I went outside at one point and T.J. and my dad had went and got the mail and they were sitting in the driveway in my dad's Beemer just listening to music.

While we were there he got his birthday present from Grammy and Papa. They got him a new baseball and bat and a fun art kit that had paints, stickers, stamps, crayons, and books. He saw the bat and he just said, "WOW." It doesn't matter how many bats he gets, he acts like every one is the greatest thing in the world.

Father and Sons Outing

Last weekend was the father and sons outing and Jamie took T.J. After about 2 hours, T.J. told Jamie he was ready to come home, which is an hour longer than he made it last year. But Jamie said he slept really good and I think he had fun. He was the youngest one from our ward there.
Here he is in the car ready to go.
First thing in the morning when he woke up.
 Playing in the woods.
My two favorite guys. I love them both!

Happy Birthday T.J.

T.J. turned 3 yesterday. We had 2 days of partying. Monday he helped me make his cake and then Monday night we went to the park and ate dinner and opened presents with the Espersons.
Yesterday was his actual birthday. He chose to start the day with Mickey Mouse pancakes.
After that I gave him his choice of the zoo, the park, or the library. He chose the library. So we went to the library and got books and then went to the park and had a picnic lunch.
Then we came home for naps, and then met Jamie at Chuck E. Cheese for pizza and games.
Then we came home to blow out candles and open presents. He got a new razor scooter, new baseballs and bases and I made him a new blanket that had his name and some baseballs on the back. The cake had rolled in the car so it was pretty trashed after Monday night but we let him blow out candles anyway.
T.J. is such a fun kid and we are so glad to have him in our family. He loves baseball and the color yellow. He desperately needs a little brother to wrestle with so he can stop making his sisters cry all the time. He is such a huge tease and loves to joke and smile. We love you T.J. Happy 3rd Birthday!

Follow Up Yellow

Jamie took T.J. to the bathroom at church today and this is what happened. He pointed at the light and said, "Look dad, the light is yellow and my pee is yellow too. But I don't like to drink pee."

Yellow

I have mentioned before how much T.J. loves yellow. On a daily basis he will point out something yellow and tell me that is his favorite color. Well last night for dinner I made stir fry and T.J. was not enjoying it. We tried to get him to eat it by telling him there was yellow squash in it, but he wasn't buying it. So today we were driving around and T.J. says. "Look a yellow car. I LOVE yellow, but I do not like yellow squash."

Garden

We struggled a little bit with our last garden. It froze while we were out of town. But I am excited for this one. I found our first bell pepper today. We have some yellow squash, cantaloupe, and I think we are going to have a ton of tomatoes which I am really excited about.
