Sherwood Super Saturday

Last year I started SSS. Basically it is like a Super Saturday that you would do at church only it is with family. So each one of my mom's brothers and sisters families that wants to participate comes up with a craft. We sign up for the ones we want and then meet on a Saturday at a church and do crafts and eat potluck and get to visit. It is a good time. This year five of the 7 girls in my mom's family were there.
This is my so talented Aunt Nina who I love so much with one of the crafts.
These are my Aunt Oona's 3 daughters; Molly, Emma and Rachel. Their family did the cute Watch Me Grow signs below.
This is my cousin Kelly. She had been really sick, so I am so glad she got to come. She taught us how to glaze bottlecap and glass pendants. You can see the Ariel one I made for Emmy below. So cute!
Some of our fun projects. I need to finish the watch me grow sign. It has a really cute wooden flower that goes on the top.

Time Marches On

This was the Easter dress I made Emmy when she was one, and Sunday Addy wore it to church.

Fairytale Ballet

Emmy started a fairytale ballet class last week. Every week they get to dress up like princesses and they teach them ballet moves. She loves it. After the first week she told me that it was,  "way much fun." And this week she told me, "I love that."

Random things I have missed the last month

My kiddos having fun.
On the 21st of October our stake, had a stake relief society meeting. They had 4 different classes and then dinner and then a program. My mom came down and went to the classes and dinner with me. It was fun to get to hang out with her and no kids.
On the 2nd of November Jamie's company had a car show. It was fun to get to take the kids down to his work.

T.J. Tellin' it like it is

T.J. and Emmy fight over everything. They fight over who gets what bowl and what spoon, etc. I have tried several different things to get them to stop and nothing seems to work. My grandma used to say all the time, "You get what you get and you don't throw a fit." So I have been trying to teach them that. To just stop fighting and complaining. So anyway, the other day they had been eating a snack at the table and T.J. spilled his milk and didn't tell me. The milk got all over this project I was working on and it took me forever to clean it. So when Jamie came home from work that night I was telling him about having to clean it up. So T.J. is sitting there and says. "Mom, you know what the rule is. You get what you get and you don't throw a fit. Don't throw a fit mom."

Then we signed him up for a little sports class through the town. He has been talking about it for days. So Jamie took him to it today and he wouldn't participate. He just sat there and watched the other kids play. So after class Jamie said to him, "Buddy, what happened in there?" And T.J. said, "I was naughty."

Eagles Fly in Pairs

I wrote a few months ago about Jamie getting an Eagle award from work. Well he got another one "For key efforts on the Nett Warrior IRAD isolating functional and performance issues and installing patches for the government improving our performance and stability." The Eagle award is the highest award that General Dynamics gives and he has gotten 2 of them in the year since he started. He has been working really hard and putting in lots of hours. It is nice to see him recognized for the work that he does. Congrats hun! You are awesome!

More Halloween Pictures

Saturday night we took the kids to our ward Trunk or Treat. Jamie told me he would dress up and waited until I had a hanger in my hair to tell me he wasn't going to. I guess it is a sign of how old I am that all the kids had to ask me who I was and even after I told them Pippi Longstocking, they still had no clue.
The kids loved the trunk or treating, especially T.J.
Sunday we carved pumpkins and then gave out candy and let the kids do a little trick or treating in our neighborhood.
T.J. has spent the last 2 days counting his loot. He endlessly carries it around and then decided it was easier to just push it.
