Playing in the Water

We are having a few issues with our sprinkler system. The valve just randomly doesn't turn off somedays. But broken valves make for fun days playing in the water.

Takin a Ride on the Potty Train

Well we started Sunday after church trying to potty train T.J. Monday was pretty frustrating. But Monday afternoon he finally went on the potty and he has done pretty good since then. He made it all day yesterday without an accident. So way to go T.J.!
Takin care of business.
Showing off his new Cars underwear and eating the M&M's he got for goin'.

Addy's Walking

Addy took her first steps on the 26th of April and she hasn't slowed down. It seems like it took her less time to actually be comfortable on her feet than it did other two. She walks everywhere. I still haven't gotten used to. I will look down and be shocked that she is standing next to me.

It's Summer!!

Well we all got in the pool today for the first time this season. Our thermometer said 74 degrees so we decided it was warm enough. Addy loved it. Emmy and T.J. still weren't quite sure but it felt pretty good to me.

Girls Night Out

While dad and T.J. were gone me and Emmy and Addy went out on the town. We went shoe shopping, painted our toenails, ate dinner at Red Robin, played at the toys at the mall, and returned home to a night of Barbie and the Nutracker. Addy slept through dinner and it was fun to get to enjoy being with Emmy.
Here is Emmy painting her toenails.
Putting the topcoat on mom's toes.
Her cute toes in the shoes that she picked out when we were shoe shopping.
Mom and Emmy's toes.
Mom's, Emmy's, and Addy's toes. Addy was not very cooperative, so they aren't the greatest.
My girls. I love them.

Father and Sons

Jamie and T.J. went to the father and sons outing for the first time last night. T.J. was so excited to go and Jamie said they had a great time. Jamie's dad and brother-in-law went with them. He loved exploring around and being in the great outdoors.
He started the night in his Cars sleeping bag, which he was really excited about.
About halfway through the night, he decided he wanted in with dad.
Eating a yummy breakfast of pancakes and ham.
Home safe and sound with dad.

T.J.'s 2!

As I was taking pictures of him this morning, he really looked like a little boy and I realized how fast he is growing up. We had a pretty low key day because we did most of our celebrating last week but we tried to have a little fun. Here is his day through pictures. Eating breakfast.
All cleaned up after his shower.
Weighing in -- 27 lbs.
Playing with his new sandbox. He really loves that thing.
Dinner at McDonald's. We all tried to talk him in to something else, Emmy especially, but he had his heart set on fry frys.
After we went to McD's, Jamie wanted to go get him a football. He loves it. This is on the way home with it.
Here's his cake for today. He kept asking for another car cake, but one a year is my limit. We actually got him to try blowing out the candles so that was good.
Emmy got him a fun dinosaur coloring book. We took her to the dollar store and let her pick something out for him.
Since he is turning 2 here are my 2 favorite things about him.
1. He is one of the happiest kids I have ever seen. Life is just fun to him. He loves to tease people and it doesn't take much to make him laugh. You can't hardly even look at him without smiling.
2. He is very compassionate. If Emmy or Addy are crying he is always trying to take them toys to make them happy.
Happy Birthday Teej! We love you!

Happy Mother's Day!

I had a great mother's day. I started at 6:30 this morning and got to go visit my grandma's gravesite. It had been awhile since I had been there. She was such a remarkable woman and I miss her so much. I wish she could have known Jamie and my kids. She would have loved him and them. Then my wonderful husband got me a little camera. I have a big one, but I have been wanting something smaller that is easier to take to everyday things. I also got to see my mom and one of the funnest parts of my day was watching her open her present. Since Christmas she has been busy making doll clothes. Emmy and almost all of my nieces have 18" dolls. So my mom decided she was going to make them all clothes for Christmas. Her goal is to make them each 12 outfits and she is making 16 sets of them. She is making them wedding dresses, prom dresses, swimming suits, sweat outfits, denim jeans, etc. You name it, she is making it. So she decided she wanted an American girl doll and she was going to keep one set of clothes for herself. She will probably end up giving that set to Wacey's daughter when he has one, but anyways. So I decided that I was going to make her an outfit for her doll. So I took her old cheerleading uniform from high school and made her doll one to match. Here is a picture of her cheerleading outfit and Emmy's doll in one of the ones I made to match.
I know so many remarkable women who are such incredible moms and I am grateful for their examples. I LOVE being a mom. It is the hardest thing I have ever done and it is a daily challenge with 3 kids 3 and under but I feel so extremely blessed to be one.

T.J.'s Birthday Part I

We celebrated T.J.'s birthday with Jamie's family Monday night. We went to a park with a spray pad, had a 4 ft sub, ate cake and had fun. His birthday isn't until next Monday but we got him a sleeping bag for his birthday and we thought he was going to the Father and Sons outing this weekend so... When we asked him what he wanted for his birthday all he said was a cars cake. I'm not sure where he even got that idea. I made him a cake that looked like a race track last year and I don't know if he was referring to that or if he wanted a Cars, like the movie. So I decided I would give it a try. It only took me 4 hours and learning that it is virtually impossible to make black frosting. But you live and learn. Next time it will be much easier. Here is the cake.

Playing in the water at the spray pad. I love how it looks like he is posing.
Emmy blowing out his candles.
Eating his cake.
His new sandbox from the Espersons. Him and Emmy have already had lots of fun with it.
