Happy Easter

We hope everyone had a great Easter.
We really had fun decorating eggs, making sugar eggs.

Easter Outfits.
It is so hard to get a picture of all the boys, so between the two you can see all their faces.

Check out our cute peek-a-boo eggs.
William loves to look in and see the scenes inside.

This year we did something that I wasn't too thrilled about. William went downstairs and dumped his Easter basket all over the floor in delight. The other two thought it was so great that they did the same thing. As you can tell our house will be a bit on a sugar high for the next little bit.
The Easter Bunny hid all the eggs that the kids dyed outside. By the end of the Easter Egg hunt most of the eggs were cracked and so we made egg salad sandwiches for lunch.

Bradley doesn't rub it in at all when he finds an egg.

It was so cold this year! After we did this, it snowed for a few minutes.

William loved dying Easter Eggs. When we were all done, he started
throwing a fit because he wanted to dye more.

Kyle being Kyle took about 3 seconds to spill the first cup of dye.
He just loved seeing how many colors he could make.
Bradley was our fastest Easter egg dyer this year. He was so proud of his eggs

Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday Bradley, Kyle, William, Michael and Sammy (cousins) had a really fun Easter Egg Hunt. They ran around picking up a ton of Easter Eggs. Everyone made out like bandits and had a really fun time.

Top Ten: Why I Haven't Posted

It has been a while since we have posted so lets find out what my top ten reasons are for not posting in a while.

10. I am so annoyed by the time I look at everyone's blog that they haven't posted anything new, that I don't post anything either. That'll teach them!

9. My children have asked me not to post anymore embarrassing stories and or pictures of them.

8. The only time I think of something to blog is when I am laying awake in bed at night about 2 or 3 in the morning.

7. I have found other avenues to brag about my children.

6. Once I tried to post something and the computer froze up, I guess the story wasn't as funny as I thought.

5. I knew I had to take a break from blogging in order to do this silly top 10 list

4. By the time I get done looking at everyone's blogs, I have no time for my own.

3.
Everyone is much more creative then I am on posts.

2.
I am pregnant. When your pregnant don't you get to blame all your faults and laziness on that. After your pregnant you are sleep deprived.

1. I have been lazy and haven't been taking any pictures of my children.

Just take comfort in the fact that the Porter's are still here. Hopefully we will post a little more regular now.

Grocery Shopping

It's not something I look forward to, unless I can go all by myself with no kids in toe, although 1 is better than 2 and 2 is better is three. This last trip was quite amusing, and embarrassing however.

First part of our trip. I took Kyle and William to the grocery store and put them in the car carts. I am driving a long getting food as William and Kyle turn the steering wheels like crazy. Pretty soon someone walks by us, and I hear William say "Hi". They turn and smile and say hi back and continue on there way as William says"Bye." He would laughed at their reaction and the attention he got. The next person passes, same thing. All through out the store you hear our little boys voice saying hi and bye to everyone he sees. This part very much amused me of our trip, not to mention it is a much more enjoyable sound to hear than, crying, or "Mom can I have this".

Second and last part of the trip: the check out stand. We get in line to check out and of course William says hi to the cashier. Kyle looks over at the gum ball machine, and I guess realizing that I always say I don't have any quarters for the gum ball machine asks the cashier, "Do you have I quarter I can have please?" mortified I am shocked and speechless. The cashier reaches in her pocket and says, "Well I just happened to put one in my pocket today, and since you asked so nice you can have it." So Kyle got his gum ball and told her thank you. I am scrambling in my purse looking for a quarter, to give back to her, but of course I can't find one. She was so nice about the whole situation. I was so embarrassed. I told Joe that it may have been the most embarrassing thing my kids have ever done, and they have told people they shouldn't smoke, they look like a real cowboy, thrown up in the store, and other very wonderful things. Kyle was just thrilled to have a gum ball though. I am hoping that our little talk about not asking strangers for money will work for the next time we go to the grocery store and he won't ask the cashiers if he can have a quarter.
