One of the ten million things I cannot do is console people I stand around awkwardly waiting for the sky to fall while they sit sadly feeling like no one cares about them boohoo ugh I'm such a failure I hope everyone will feel better cos obviously feeling like shit sucks
But come to think about it feeling like shit is an in-the-moment kinda thing when you do feel like shit what could anyone say to make it better? Envious of those happy balls who possess contagious joy..
I never have urges to blog anymore..

Not a red rose or a satin heart.
I give you an onion.
It is a moon wrapped in brown paper.
It promises light
like the careful undressing of love.
Here.
It will blind you with tears
like a lover.
It will make your reflection
a wobbling photo of grief.
I am trying to be truthful.
Not a cute card or a kissogram.
I give you an onion.
Its fierce kiss will stay on your lips,
possessive and faithful
as we are,
for as long as we are.
Take it.
Its platinum loops shrink to a wedding-ring,
if you like.
Lethal.
Its scent will cling to your fingers,
cling to your knife.
(I gather it's not very cool to post your homework but this poem is really nice heheh)

So tiring, school is. And Singapore's weather to boot; eew.
I don't have anything much insightful to say (I haven't been thinking much or reading much hahaha sigh) but there's been a trend in the SEL, CCE, citizenry reflections and they all harbour around appreciation, contentment, thankfulness and yknow the works. And it is true, how we can be so ungrateful I can't fathom. But I'm guilty of it too, somedays silently wishing for things to happen wasting food wasting electricity complaining complaining complaining...... We should reflect and correct. Also since we are so pampered, ensconced in the apparent safety and security of our nation, we don't care/are ill prepared to face ever looming danger. And since there is so much comfort, we take things for granted and settle into the thought that things may be present/available forever hence we are lacking our sense of urgency and find it second nature to procrastinate.
Stop, stop..... S t o p .
Let's live in the moment. Don't put things off to tomorrow because how sure are you of the future? Carpe diem, I say.
