A Very Merry Christmas!
We had a really fun and laid back Christmas. We spent Christmas Eve over at my parents house and stuffed ourselves silly with lots of yummy food. Then we went and looked at lights and then came back and played Catch Phrase. Rylee was too funny the whole night too, I think it was probably because of all the sugary apple cider grandma gave her... Anyway, she really had a fun time and she entertained everybody as well. (by the way, those red spots on her face are hives. She broke out all over her body on Sunday with them. Her doctor said they were from a cold virus. She had started to get a runny nose on Saturday and he said that sometimes when kids get colds, their bodies will attack it differently and instead of going the normal route like runny nose, high temp, cough etc it went the histamine way and so she broke out in hives...poor girl. So while it looks like she has leprosy, it's just hives and not as bad as it looks) Anyway, back to Christmas Eve, it sure was nice having my whole family together again for it. My little brother, Ryan, got home off his mission in April, so it's his first back home in a while. Here's a not-all-too-great pic of us on Christmas Eve. And this picture at first might look like my brothers were just being overly affectionate with each other, a better look will show you that they are both giving each other huge wedgies. They were rolling around wrestling and Rylee thought it was the funniest thing. She was making us laugh so hard because she was doing this fake laugh were she was holding her belly and doubling over. She's such a crack up! So here are my Mom, Dad and Ryan dancing with Rylee on Christmas. She thought it was pretty great, probably because she was, once again, the center of attention and had all these people around her being crazy. She always loves that...
Here's Rylee with her favorite Christmas present, her cheapo baby stroller (of course). She totally loves it though! As you can see, she wouldn't even let me fix her hair before she had to stroller her baby doll around.
So anyway, Christmas was so great! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas as well!

Let it snow! (but just a little...)
Last week we got some snow that actually stuck for a little while. We woke up in the morning and there was like 1/2-1 inch of snow. So I quickly got Rylee dressed to let her go check it out. Rylee and Dad made a tiny snowman and she thought that was pretty fun. She, however, did not like making a snow angel....
I've been tagged a couple times now so I figure it's time to suck it up and get it over with... here ya go!!!

The Real Mission Impossible

Garrick and I have been married for almost 5 years now and basically the extent of our vacations have been to either Arizona, Rocky Point or the Cabin. Which are fun and great of course, but we haven't been on a vacation vacation. And what I mean by the double vacation is one that you don't have to cook or clean on and you basically just get spoiled. Well I'm gettin' spoiled....we're going on a cruise and I can't wait! Could I beee more excited?! (that was the Chandler way of saying it for all you Friends fans). We're going the end of January on a Caribbean cruise with our "ports of call" as Jamaica, Cayman Islands and the Bahamas. I feel so spoiled cuz that just sounds like places that rich people get to play at... Anyway, sorry to be obnoxious but I'm just feeling really excited right now because we just got our room assignments. Check it out, here's a stock photo of what our room looks like... It's a balcony suit...oh yeah! Here's the downer part though, Rylee's not coming with us. Which really isn't a downer, cuz I don't even know what the point would be of going if she was with us, but the downer is that I'm already feeling depressed and anxious and guilty about leaving my little girl! Seriously, just thinking about it makes me physically sick. I know she'll be fine though, she'll be with Grandma and Grandpa Haymore. I just hope she still likes me when I come back! |
