Climbing, hiking, and other fun

Went climbing at the Quarry for a residency activity. The kids were pretty excited.
Jayden: "I've got this."

Spiderman in action.

"Am I almost to the top?"

Check out those calves.

We told him he could lay back if he got tired. He would go up one step and then do this.

So tired from all the climbing.

He did very well on this section of wall. He started to get nervous when he got to the M.

This was JJ's limit. She got to the C and was done.

JJ decided that this was how she wanted her hair done today. She looks very cute.

Bundled up for a chilly ride to school.
Carter with his spy glasses looking pretty cool.

Came in to check on them and found them both in bed like this.

Best buddies in the bike trailer.
"Go Utes!"
"Go Purple!"

"In west Philadelphia born and raised..."

Hiking in Big Spring Hollow on one of the last warm days.

"Can we stop for snack?" (5 minutes into the hike, then again at 10 minutes, 15, and 20. Stopped for lunch at 25)

Cool picture with an amazing beard!

Looking through the wrong side of the binoculars, but she sure had fun with them.

Lunch break on a log.

Cute couple

Carter had to find a hiking stick.

Jayden as a cow in the nativity program. It was a very moo-ving performance.

Robinson family run night nativity scene.

The fort is getting more and more elaborate. Eventually it will take over the house.

Carter made this bridge for Jayden because she couldn't jump across like he could.
Very creative, but we had to nix this because it wasn't super strong or sturdy.
We gave them one day of the bridge.

"We need more bows!"

Carter's school work.

As a homework assignment he was supposed to disguise his turkey so that it didn't get eaten on Thanksgiving. He decided to dress the Turkey, and himself, as a spy.

Doing "homework" with a friend.

I guess she was cold. We found her with almost every clothing item she owns on her bed. Took us 15 minutes to fold it all and put it away.
Those two middle drawers are completely empty.

Merry Christmas from JJ

Merry Christmas from Carter!

Bike racks and Ice packs

Jayden watching for Carter to get out of school.
(If you look really close, you can see Carter back there high-fiving his teacher).

Little reader.
Going straight to the literary classics.

"I wasn't speeding, Officer.  Was I?"

Carter locked his bike up to one of the bike racks at school.
At the end of the day, we went to get it.  His bike, along with the entire bike rack, was gone.

We discovered that it had been stolen by "The Prince of Thieves".  Don't worry, Carter got it back.
(A new series, "Yellowstone" was filming at Carter's school that day---notice the sign in this picture.  They apparently needed the bike rack, so they took it.)

Handsome boy.

Hipster Gothic

Now the question is, how did he get up there?
Goofy boy

Shopping with Grumpy

Look out!

Carter seeking refuge in our bed from his abusive sister.

Spy guys

Mommy made him eat breakfast before he could be a spy.

Building competition.
Daddy built a tower.....

When we asked them what they built, they said "a parking garage"

Carter's homework was to disguise Tom the Turkey, this turkey.  We will call him.....Tim.
What better disguise than a spy?

"I'm not grounded anymore!!"

Tearing up the wall.

Tearing up from the wall.
(dust got in his eye.  Now he's using safety glasses).

Jay's turn

The wall is straight, the picture is crooked.
Or is it the other way around?

Whoa.  Just whoa.

Cooking up cookies for FHE

Working on a project.  Hope Dad's ok with us borrowing his saw.

Today's project:  Carter's fabulous number machine.

The patience is one sided today.

Ready to eat!

Learning to pump.

Climbing buddies

Frogger: Swing set edition.

Look at those Ninja moves

Watch out Jay!
(right after this pic, she got conked in the head).

Don't worry guys.  An ice pack fixes everything!
