I decided to do some more challenges on SCS to keep myself going making more cards. I have seriously depleted my stash of cards and hate to have to sit and make one as I am running out the door to an event or hurrying to beat the mailman! So, besides all the other "to do's" on my list I want to try to participate in the daily challenges every day. That way I should make 7 cards a week for my stash! And if I do what I want to do (which is make 2 of every card I do) I should be double that! Well, it sounds good in theory anyway! So here is my card for the sketch challenge...you can see the sketch here on SCS. Thanks for looking!

a rough week with a good ending!
Yes, so it was a rough week for me...lots of back pain and migraines! My inlaws have come in for my DD's birthday, a wake and funeral for my Aunt's father, epidural steroid injections on Friday, my DH doing a ton of OT at work. But.... I actually managed to play in VSN weekend on SCS! Here are some of my creations!
I was so excited to have done so many, and the hostesses did a great job! Congrats to all of you!

too much time on my hands?
Well, I had a rough night last night....couldn't fall asleep...and you know what I do when that happens.....I finally decided to attack the frappacino bottles that have been sitting on my shelf for a while. I really like how they came out, even if it was difficult! I uses the Polka Dots and Paisley paper, some stickers from the SAB simply scrapping kit and of course Primas and ribbon! Not too shabby...
I think I am going to fill them with my favorite candies and keep them on my shelf for "emergencies" (what? you thought I was going to GIVE this away to someone? NO WAY, I love it too much!)
*******************************************************************Don't forget about my blog candy......all you need to do is subscribe and leave a comment, I will choose a random name on Sunday!

Stamp A Stack
Here is the cards we are making for Stamp a Stack this Friday...8 cards and a BONUS Tote! We will be doing a One Sheet Wonder...that is we stamp a pattern over one 8 1/2 X 11 sheet of cardstock and cut it up into pieces to make the 8 cards and tote. Cool, huh? This template I made up myself, a combo of the many I have found here and there. I had to be able to make the 8 cards and the tote and the others I saw made more cards than that. I had to use Roses in Winter, it just reminds me of Mother's Day! See my SCS gallery for an up close of each card individually. I still have a few spots open if you are here in sunny Long Island, give me a call or email today.

VSN pre-challenge card
I finally broke down and did a new technique! Usually Toni is the technique Queen, but I wanted to do something cool for my friend Karen's VSN pre-challenge on SCS. VSN (Virtual Stamp Night) is May 18-19 at Splitcoast Stampers. So, I used the emboss resist technique with my rainbow pigment inks, some primas and stickles. I really like how it came out, we'll have to use it for the next Stamp a Stack I think!
crazy stuff!
Wow...sorry I was MIA for a bit there...too much stuff going on here! So, I posted 3 entries to 3 challenges on SCS's Virtual Scrapbook Night a little while ago...Oh my goodness, all 3 won! I was soooo not expecting to win anything cause the other pages were so completely awesome! I finally found my way over to the winners thread just to look at cool layouts I may want to case (wink) and see my name 3 times! That's just crazy!!!
SO.................
In honor of my "wins" I want someone to win also! That means it's time for my very first blog candy!!! Just subscribe to my blog and leave a comment and your entered! Here is a pic of the goodies I put together...

new look
I have been playing with HTML lately, can you tell? I made this logo for t-shirts for me and Toni and figured I'd use it here too.
Just wanted to share this picture of my DD...I found this dress at BJ's with the matching doll's dress for like $14.99! Too cute!
