hubby's college friend came to our place for a visit on 13th Dec.. which happened to be PH's birthday.. :) it was really nice to meet up n let the kids play together.. :)

Yeah!! PH is finally 2 years old... planned two birthday celebrations for him.. the first one was on 7th Dec at SIL's condo.. the 2nd one was on 12th Dec with his childcare centre..

we had BBQ for PH's 2 year old celebration.. it's a small party.. only grandparents, 姑姑's family and 阿姨 are invited.. we ordered marinated food fr caterer so tt it will be easy job for us.. :P SIL n her husband are really gd at setting up the pit.. all done within 30min.. :P
PH was still having stomach flu tt day.. but we still can't resist letting him play with water... :P

The second 2 year old celebration- childcare center
he was still not feeling well for his childcare center celebration.. recovered fr stomach flu.. but having influenza... :P but we hav already prepared the goodies bags and ordered cake fr van, might as well proceed with it.. :P
but poor PH, he stopped childcare for so long tt he started wailing away the moment he entered the center.. it was really drama.. we put him on the floor in front of the waiting kids.. he crawl out of the place while crying...... *faintz*...... luckily, he eventually settled down aft he saw his fav nemo on his birthday cake.. phew......... :)

it started on thurs morning... he woke up.. n vomited on the bed... i thot he's so hungry tt he vomitted gastric juice.. so went to make milk for him.. but he ended up vomiting everything..
throughout the wk, his condition got better.. n got worse too.. it was really scary to see him vomitting like tt.. it's the first time PH went thru this too.. he was very scared when he saw things coming out of his mouth.. was so shock tt he stay still after vomitting.. :P
poor boy was getting so dehydrated fr all the vomitting n diarrhoea tt he lost 600g in 3 days.. he wasn't heavy to start with.. he's only 10.6kg before the stomach flu.. the most recent weigh taken is 9.8kg.. drop below 10kg liao.. hai... took him 2 years to reach the 10kg mark n only 3 days to lose it... :(
not only tt.. both hubby n me got it too.. lucky me.. i only vomitted once and had fever for one day.. more like indigestion.. :P hubby got it really bad.. had diarrhoae for 2 days.. MIL got it too.. MIL had full package.. vomit n diarrhoea.. i'm wondering if it's due to my job tt i escaped with juz something light.. :P
when PH finally recovered fr his stomach flu, he got the influenza virus... ahhh..... :( he was coughing so badly tt he always ended up vomiting.. hai~~ really worried.. wonder when he will fully recover..
Finally, today is the concert.. :) initially, we were not able to get the tickets as it's almost snatched up during the pre sales to Friends of SSO.. but luckily, due to the overwhelming response, SSO added another session on Sat, 2.15pm.. I was so anxious tt i was practically glued to the sistic website on the opening day for ticket sales.. :P but, my workplace PC got problem with purchasing tickets online!! bobian.. quickly activated hubby... :P 皇天不负有心人.. we finally got the tickets we so badly wanted.. :)
we nearly couldn't make it to the concert.. PH is down with stomach flu.. has been vomitting and diarrhea for the past few days.. and me n hubby oso started showing signs of stomach flu too.. i was vomitting while hubby had diarrhea.. :P but we were so keen to go for the concert tt we decided to try our luck.. :)
祸不单行.. we went out of house 1 hr b4 concert.. but met with jam on AYE!! quickly make a detour and was able to reach the concert hall.. but we were so late tt there's no more parking space at empress place museum.. got to park at Parliament Place instead... by the time we reached the concert hall, pre concert activities had already ended... :( not much time for photo taking too....... :( but, we still managed to grab a balloon for PH.. heee.. :)
it has been so long since i step into VCH as audience.. :P in the past, i'm more familar with the backstage... :P been to the light control room b4 too.. :P when i was a kid n still not involved in concerts, i was running all over the places b4 i'm needed to go onstage to present flowers to the conductor n guest performers.. :P and when i was old enough to go onstage, i started looking for nice places when i can comfortably rest and tune my instruments.. :P ahhh... all the fond memories... when can i perform on stage again??
anyway, back to the concert.. it was really fun.. the concert is really interactive.. :) when the conductor came onstage, hubby dun believe tt he's the conductor n kept asking me when the conductor is coming.. :P he said the conductor dun look like one.. :P i think he was expecting someone solemn.. hehehe... :P
the conductor was very interactive.. he introduced the characteristics of the instruments really well.. associated strings with waving trees.. percussion with basketball's thumping sounds etc... PH was following really well... he was clappng together with us.. swinging himself with arms high up, tapping the imaginery basketball etc.... it was really cute to see him enjoying n following the concert.. :)

brought PH to D'Kranji Farm Resort this morning.. nothing much to see... not sure if it will be like Farmart in future... but there's a really nice spa there... hope i will hav a chance to go for spa in future.. :P

brought PH for his 2nd movie treat.. :) the first time was Kungfu Panda few mths ago.. today, we brought him to watch Madagascar 2.. :)
he was very well behaved for a 2 year old.. :) i still rem when i was young, i walk ard the cinema climbing up n down the stairs while my parents watched the movie.. :P he was gd.. he sat on his booster seat n enjoyed the show.. :) of coz, tt's bcoz i enticed him with the yummy pancake fr Prima deli.. hehehe... :) at the end of the movie when the ending song started playing, he was enjoying the music n dancing together with the cartoon characters... so cute.. :)

today was terrible.. was feeding him dinner but he simply refused his porridge.. only had a few mouthful n stop.. thot tt he may want to self feed.. so gave him some to try... but he ended up playing with the food.. so i told him tt i'm going to throw away his dinner if he continued.. he seems to understand n ate abit more.. den he started playing again... :( so, i threw away the remaining porridge...
aft cleaning up, carried him over to the rubbish bin n asked him to look at the food he wasted.. started scolding him.. n i think i lost control of the situation.. hubby said PH was badly traumatised... :( he said PH was trembling aft i walk away... :(

went to Ya Kun for brunch today.. PH had his own kaya cheese toast... it's his first trip there... see how much he enjoyed the toast... shd ask Ya Kun if they need a young spokesman anot... hahahaha.... :P
went to the Marina Barrage last Sun.. while driving there, we were surprised tt there's so many buses going there.. there's even road marshals.. i was telling hubby tt the Marina Barrage seems pretty popular.. so popular tt pple are going by buses n buses n they need road marshals to control n direct traffic... little did we know tt it actually coincide with the Newpaper Big Walk.. :P
when we saw the banners, we got a shock.... :P luckily we were there quite late.. the big walk had already ended... else, i think it will be a wasted trip.. hahaha... :P

6th Nov is our anniversary.. we hav been married for 3 years and PH is almost 2.. :) amazing that we can tolerate each other for 3 years.. hahahaha.. still many more years to go.. :P
anyway, went for an impromptu dinner treat to Ajisen.. we had our fav ramen while PH had his kid's meal..
dinner out with PH nowadays has become challenging.. it's getting more n more difficult for him to sit still n finish a meal.. most of the time, meal time is accompanied by table climbing and screamings.. aiyo.. i used to hate kids who do tt... n now my own son is doing that.. finally, i truely understand how helpless those parents were.... :P
anyway, back to the dinner.. PH insisted on eating on his own and ended up making a big mess..
this is the new nickname given by papa to PH.. yes... he's our chilli king.. :) he loves chilli.. :P
it started with as a mischievous act by mama.. PH wanted to eat fries.. but mama didn't want him to enjoy it.. so mama dipped the fries with chilli sauce.. hoping to stop him fr eating too much.. to mama's amazement, PH ate the fries without much expression.. :O and asked for more..
from then on, whenever there's something spicy, mama will let PH try.. as usual, he will juz eat n eat.. he doesn't seem too bothered by the spicy-ness... :P he will only crink his face, open his mouth wide when it's getting too spicy for him.. but he will still request for more... faint..... till now, he has already tried tomyam n several different types of chilli paste..
but yesterday was really funny... he was eating Mcdonald fries with chilli.. he kept dipping his fries with chilli to the extend where it was really toooo spicy for him to tolerate.. he grabbed his water bottle n kept drinking to extinguish the fire... hahaha...
Last fri, we had a surprise birthday celebration with our ex attachment students.. it was really thoughtful of them to celebrate for us.. we even got a gift each.. :) but the surprise birthday party was nearly ruined.. hehehe... :P
Wei actually arranged with the students to give us a surprise celebration at Marina sq.. :) but as many of us had something urgent to attend to, only WL n I were free.. since both of us were not aware of the surprise planned, we decided to go IMM instead.. :P
but when we were there, we received a call fr rachel telling us tt they r already at marina sq.. n insisted on us going there as they got gifts for us.. :P only then did we know tt Wei and the kids planned a surprise for us.. hehehe..

PS: i love the bag.. :) actually wanted to buy it (the exact one) a few mths ago.. but really 不舍得 to buy it coz it's not cheap lor.. Thank you thank you!!
Mon was public holiday.. so we decided to bring PH to the outdoors for some fun activities.. :) hubby suggested cycling.. since ECP is so far away, we decided to go Sentosa Silosa Beach instead.. however, we realised tt it's a big mistake the moment we reach the beach.. :P
there's not much scenery to look at while cycling.. there's too many buildings between the beach and the cycling track.. there's a cycling track.. but there's pple everywhere.. they simply walk on the cycling track.. we were forced to cycle on the road.. n need to be constantly on the lookout for trams n bus... :( to make things worse, the pple there simply bochap cyclist.. ring ring at them oso not much use.. they seems to forget tt there were vehicles on the road.. simply cross the road without looking at the traffic.. there were a few times when i had to siam them..
next time, i think i will prefer to travel all the way to ECP for a better cycling experience... :P
nevertheless, the day was fun.. PH oso told us tt he had fun... :) he enjoyed himself alot at the water play area.. it was so unlike the trip to jacob ballas when he was 15mth old..
