Hyrum likes prunes, bananas, and peaches so far. He was not a fan of peas (just like his dad). We are going to be trying a few new ones one by one as the weeks roll on!
My child turned mobile. Hyrum is rolling back to front now. He is moving all over the  place. I came into his room the other day and he had grabbed this blanket. He loves to be under things. It's kinda strange. I tried to take the bumper pads off last night but it didn't work because he ended up playing with the crib slats for over an hour. He would use them to turn himself around and play like a monkey. I had to put the bumpers back on so he would sleep.

This past weekend we went to a BBQ Bash and the North Iowa Fair. The BBQ bash was great, the fair was totally lame. We are looking forward to the famous Iowa State Fair in a couple weeks when we meet up with Brad and Mel
I closed my eyes when he did this. I thought they were going to fall off the slide. Not to mention the lame looks people gave us.

OHH MAN I MISS THIS PLACE!!! This is one of the things I miss about Des Moines. Jason's Deli. Super fresh yummy food and free frozen yogurt with every meal. If you haven't tried this place, DO!

Long John Silvers. Umm, don't go here to eat. So, I had never eaten here before. When I flew into Des Moines a few weeks ago I was STARVING and we really wanted to get on the road for the 2-hour drive to our new house. This was the first restaurant I saw and I just said, "Go there I guess" (Bradden said he wanted to try it a few weeks earlier too). I ordered chicken fingers and it was the greasyyyyyyyest thing I have ever eaten--but I was so hungry I ate almost all of it. I felt sick for about a week. Not to mention I drank it with a sprite because they didn't have anything not-carbinated so it was my first soda in 6 months. AHHHH! that didn't help the stomach at all either.  And wouldn't you know it , there is one practically across the street here in Mason, just to remind me that fast food is usually really disgusting, especially this place.

A LITTLE FAMILY WITH A LITTLE BABY IN A LITTLE HOUSE IN A LITTLE CITY. We are really liking it here! This is our new house, and some of the lovely things that came with it when we moved in.... see below.......

awesome wood paneling accordian doors.and my absolute favorite, some sort of x-ray reading machine in the basement. so, if anyone breaks their arm and wants to read their own x-ray, just come on over to our house. we won't even charge you.

5 months now. It has been so fun to see him grow. We had our doc appt. this past week and he weighs a heafty 16.5 pounds. Yes, we have a large child. He is babbling so much and starting to have such a fun personality. He likes his rice cereal and has started to get a little better at sleeping again after our vacation. He can sit for a few seconds if mom props him up just right and he loves to be outside. He kicks hard and loves his mobile and new Exersaucer. 

"Twenty-something"-- so I'm 28. It's a little strange, but good.  Bradden made me breakfast in bed and we hit the pool and hung out. We went to dinner that night and had some great BBQ food. I have come to cherish each year now and realize that family and good health are some of the most important things we can enjoy each year.

We went out to breakfast in the morning and to the fair and fireworks at Clear Lake that night. Bradden played ski ball and I did darts. 

UTAH FUN! It was really fun to be in Utah for 3 weeks with family and friends. We never had a dull day! This sweet pic is of Hyrum and his aunt Amie. This was just a few weeks before she delivered her twins (congrats!) and Hyrum was playing with her and just reached up and touched her stomach for about a minute. It was like he was saying hi to his cousins he just left up in heaven.

Cabin-heaven! It was so nice to be up in the mountains finally at Bradden's family cabin for a few days in Weber Canyon.
