Four Months Old

Well, that went fast!  Our cute Milo is a happy healthy baby at four months.  He has been the perfect addition to our family.  His older brother has not tired of him and still kisses him a little too frequently.  Due to his mean parents Connor has been given time outs for loving too much (but who could really blame him).

Lazy Morning

I love mornings when you don't have to rush out of the house. When we can lay in my bed and talk about what adventures we shall take on, you know, grocery shopping or going to the park with friends...

We blessed Milo in Salt Lake City this last Sunday.  It was a wonderful day and we were able to share it with both sides of the family. It was a double blessing with Milo's cousin Owen who undoubtedly will be his best friend (they are ten days apart and handsome as can be).  While in town for the blessing and visiting family we looked for a home (to rent) in SLC,  it was rough.  We hope something pans out soon.  I am trying to act calm like my Husband but it's just not my style.

a baby shower to brag about

How cute is this baby shower for Ashley and Colt who are expecting twin boys!  I wish I could claim that I helped put this fantastic shower together but I was wrapped up in having a baby and selling our home, but I was sure to show up to the party!  Julie knows how to throw a party and I thought I should show off her skills.  Kendria also pitched in and flew in from Texas with a suit case of goodies.  I at least had the pleasure of  Kendria bunking at our home for the weekend.

Special Delivery

This is Milo's baby announcement. He is a sweet baby and growing way to quickly.  This 5 week old weighs ten pounds and growing out of 0-3 onesies...

Idea for the front of the card was inspired from mint.com.  My one and only fabulous sister helped with the design of the back,  I hit a creative rut and she saved me.

An Animal Party, of Course!

Can't believe my little boy is four already!  I was sure I knew the answer before asking Connor what type of Birthday party he wanted and I was right--an Animal party!  This kid loves to play, talk about, and visit animals.  I have become much more knowledgeable about meat eaters and plant eaters, where certain animals live, and various other facts that didn't mean much to me before having a curious animal-lover named Connor. 

What I didn't know was how tricky it would be to have a birthday party at our house the first weekend that it was up for sale. That's right, too much at one time!  We had 30 min to set up the party and 30 min to clean up the party, and then we were out of the house for showings.  It was a busy weekend but we are thrilled to have a buyer under contract.  "High five!"

 We had Audie from the Plains Conservation Center bring a blow snake, box turtle and a tiger salamander.  He was a big hit!  The kids (who wanted to) could touch the animals.

  

The kids ate fruit cups, veggie cups, PB& J sandwiches with juice boxes followed by loads of sugar with a  pinata and cake!

Introducing Milo

Our sweet baby arrived February 10th and we are all very much in love with him.   He is constantly being smothered with kisses. Connor seems to be filling the big brother role quite nicely.  When he first met Milo he commented that he "smells like chocolate".  I am sure there are a few times since then that he has not thought this...

   

My mother was here for the last seven days and it has be been blissful.  She has cooked, cleaned, and played the part of Grandma to the fullest. Connor is going to wonder where his breakfast of eggs and ham are tomorrow morning...  Thanks Mom.

Milo stats:  7.5lbs, a little over 20 inches & born at 5:03 pm.
