help.
I'm desperately losing my time to all those non-acedemic stuff. I know it's a matter of choice to let go and put total concentration of my studies. But.. I feel so duty-bound. If I dont take it up, the connection will soon be lost yet there is no one else who are free and bothered. Do I like it? No definitely! But I seek comfort in knowing that at the end of the day, I am closer to them. At least the effort is already paying off. Sometimes it does sucks seeing that you are doing all you can to bridge them together, but they just.. remain unresponsive. It would really help if they are just a little more supportive when it comes to getting positive reponses.
I feel like putting down all other commitments outside hall. I see a very dark future actually.
and I am so tired nowadays.

Another acedemic year started.
Holidays werent exactly holidays. Yes, though I did go on a vacation to Australia, there wasnt much time I could just lazy around the house and enjoying the afternoon sun. Working during the holidays made me realise that if I were to get an engineering job, I'd make sure I am not doing sia kang. I'd become a full fledge engineer - up there. :)
Australia was refreshing bah. Different country, people, way of life. Walking down the streets of Melbourne with the cold winter air going through your hair. Breathing in the cool fresh sea breeze along the Great Ocean Road. Feel the unity of the Catholic youths as they gather in thousands in Sydney.
I guess we were premature for such long period of absence.
Within a week of my homecoming, I was sucked into FOC. The one event I have been both dreading and looking forward to. The juniors, hahs.. erm they were a fun bunch. REALLY. I mean we have our clan issues, but ultimately they were great. Though we didnt we a single prize (OMC should really have considered giving each clan a prize each), I think we did okay. :) Given the dynamics of our GLs and SAs, and old seniors support, we did quite well. :) The team talk by the sea, after the prize presentation, I was really touched. I had my doubts, but that night, it was all gone. I was convinced that X clan will be good hands for the next FOC. :) I'm proud of you guys - Xenith!
TO ALL MY GLs & SAs: G-O-O-D-J-O-B GOOD JOB GOOD JOB!!! Thanks for all the hardwork and dedication for this FOC! I know it's really a bummer to have no hall and yet the need to stay through the camp. It was really nice working with you guys. I know there were times that I was quite off but thanks for the support :) If I were to go through FOC again, no doubt I would choose to do it again with you guys!
TO MY JUNIORS: All the ai zai people! Though our numbers were dwindling as the days pass, the spirit was still there! We were on fire for all our station games man! and the girls! POWER LA! =D Really proud of you guys!
And so, the new semester started. Not to a good start I would say... Hall will never be the same again. I'm at a loss of words to how to describe my feelings. I guess it'll just get harder as the years pass bah.
Sometimes I just feel so tired. Finding a balance with everything and eveyone is one tough job man!

Melbourne Day 1&2
10:25 PM
(photos will be uploaded shortly - it's late la)HELLOS FROM MELBOURNE!
So we boarded the flight that will take us to Perth International Airport for transit to the domestic flight for Melbourne. It was a sleepless journey for me. Too many things left behind... I watched 21 on the plane. It was so slow! It was a disappointment actually.
Transiting at the Perth International Airport was a nightmare, or rather an eye opening one. The airport was kinda pathetic. It was like our budget terminal back in SG. It was 12degrees outside and it was raining. The wind that blows in every time the automatic doors slide open was enough to freeze the entire airport. We had a few hours to waste, so we found ourselves a nice little spot to rest our tired eyes. I could only manage a total of about an hour. It was too cold to sleep!
Melbourne wasnt so cold when the sun was out. We arrived to a windy central Melbourne where my aunt picked us up. We walked from the Spencer St terminal all the way to her house. After lunch, my aunt escorted us to the Aquarium to pick up our travel passes (not worth it!). We parted ways and we were off to explore the streets of Central Melbourne! IT WAS SO FREAKING COLD. There were nice cafes along Degraves St, Central Way ( soup restaurant!) and Manchester Lane. We didnt do much shopping as most shops were closed already.
Dinner was at this Korean restaurant. The food is nice man! HAHAHs by now (8pm SG 10pm AU) the wind has picked up and the temperatures have dropped significantly. It was like standing in the freezer compartment with a strong fan blowing at you. Walked to Crown Casino in the cold, well, we tried the slots machine.. erm didnt turn out well. Blackjack was interesting to watch though. Did I mention that Avni got stopped by the casino security for looking like a kid? HAH! They had humongous cakes at this cafe there, and they all looked so yummy! but we didnt try them in the end.
We are making sandwiches for lunch tomorrow! Looking at the stuff we got from the Supermart, I am already hungry for tomorrow's lunch. HEE :)
