well... dont know exactly where to start... i miss life in nus.. esp lt6 where we always stay back and study.. i miss taking 96 and the train..
not that the life in denmark is no good... maybe the way the classes are conducted aint like in singapore.. huge LTs... webcasts...

they say SEP is for exposure.. yah.. expose to the different culture and way of life... but thats provided there is some1 out there to guide...or that im tOo used to being led.. now that i have to walk alOne... having come so far, im tired...
i just feel like giving up.. but i cant, there's no turning back for me...

well, today isnt really a good day for me... kena scolding by my ladylord for sthg.. which was partly my fault... aiyah.. blame it on myself..

alot of grp projects at dtu.. they are all very good.. i tink im lousy... hate myself for not remembering those figures and formulas... not serious in using matlab.. n simulink.. everything.. the software to lectures... y cant i rem a thing when im here.. shucks!

decided to go ikea today.. to get a wastepaper basket..
anw, i tink i went w/o planning.. i always go out without planning, ending up had to go to the same place 2 or 3times... i hate it..
bought a big big coaster... no price tag.. so i thot shld be ard the same price as those ard it... or maybe 2 or 3more kroners... but realise that it turn out to be 10kr more when i was doing the payment, but i really like this one..it fits the table im using now very nicely... maybe by the end of 4mths, if its still in gd condition, i will bring it back to singapore..
so for tml, i plan... im gg to Fields (name of a shopping mall) @ Ørestad station.

im gona bring the shopping bag i bought from ikea today.. cos i bought sthg from ikea and i needed a bag... *plastic carriers are a scarcity in cph*
im gg to stock up my commodities and food stuff *if possible* once and for all, for say the whole week.. so at least i just need to do shopping once a week..
gg to do some laundry also, before i go out tml... or maybe after i come back..

this coming week, im roostered to clean the kitchen/bathroom and doorway...
i agreed with nina to take turns...she will do it this week and we alternate...
was told that i hadta ask lena for permission before using the cleaner..

havent seen the cats for 2days... hm.. where are they...?

got mum to send me sthg... my neighbour says try not to be too big box cos the bigger it is, the more the customs wld open n check n maybe confiscate the stuff inside... she said she kena this afew times when she got her parents to send sthg from china... she say probably if from singapore, it wont be lidat..she's not sure..
i hope the customs wont take anything from me... i can get all the stuff my family sent..

the weather is getting colder and colder.. with ocassional showers...*which i was told to expect more rain*

today we went to copenhagen city to tour the canal.. didnt manage to take pics during the canal tour cos i sitting on the inside.. but tOok some other pics..

afterwhich, we went to the studenthouse, a party place for drinking and dancing for student.
our group went in and we sat and talk.. played games, drink cola again.. hehez..
europeans like drinking alot..

got a mail from yahoO pics.. saying my bandwidth over limit.. asking me to remove some pics.. so m tinkin of setting up a photoblog.. just for pics..

first dAy of orientation

was the 1st to be there fromo my group.. nthg much to say to the OGL..
i speak tOo fast, he cant catch me... i slow myself down, he tinks i dont speak english well..

okie, then they thot im from china *not discriminating, just dont like ppl to tink chinese must be from china... there are also hongkong, taiwan, m'sia, indonesia...blah blah blah... chinese...*

so i guess they tink the food we eat in singapore is different from them, its almost the same kind of food... roasted chicken, beef, mutton, potatoes.. wat else.. its all u can see in singapore.. but wat we have in singapore, they may not have it. we have more varieties.. from east to west..
so when they ask me wat we eat, i just said, we have a variety, eastern n western fOod.. they lOoked disappointed with my answer, as if expecting me to say we eat rice and totally different.. but hey, no! its almost the same but we dont eat it every meal, i guess..

then i was eatin this sandwich for lunch, so one french guy asked if the food was okie for me.. i said absolutely okiE, maybe cos i didnt finish it *cos the sandwich is tOo big for me*

went to their students pub on campus.. cOol..

met up with my buddy today... was meeting her at 10pm..
thinking that there is 190 nearby my house... indeed there was 190 but its not very near my house...
had a long walk today.. 1stly, i turned left to my house, tinking the bus 190 is there but actually it wasnt, mistook 170 for 190. okie, so referred to the map at the bus stop and realise i had to turned back towards my house... walk towards to right... after walking a distance, finally saw the bus 190... shucks, by the time i walk here and there its 9.40+ liao... late.

at the end of the day, i realise that i cld have taken any bus that passes by my hse to go to lyngby and change the bus from there w/o clipping my card again as long as its w/in an hour.. waste my time and energy walking.

anw, met up with my buddy who taught me abt the transportation system. then brought me to the municipality (kommune) where the National Registry Office is and applied for the CPR card (like the i/c lidat) then yah, can do alot of things with it.. like open bank account, blah blah blah..

then shop for a while before i catch my bus home...
walked past my neighbour's house, an old man, smoking with his dog besides him... he smiled, so did i..

realise i nidta go withdraw money to pay the orientation fees.. so went back to lyngby again.. then came back.. saw the same man again.. he must be wondering y m i coming from the same direction again and y he nv see me go out.. haha

this is the 3rd time im gg to lyngby for today.. to send the bicycle to change the inside air tube.. realise that in a rush i forgot to bring my klipkort (clipcard) so nina lent me hers, next time i clip for her with my card when we go out together.

tried connecting to the net earlier on when peter gave me the pwd and got nina to help also, but to no avail.
decided to try again and exhuast all possible selection choices and yah, i got it!
the 1st thing i did was to go on msn. met bs there, then also chinmay, then unexpectedly, ps came online tOo..
then went on to check my emails. tiring, just now slp for 1+hr still tired. tml gg out with nina to walk ard... finally!

getting bored now... decided to blog again on my notepad 1st...
now im waiting for the chinese lady to come back so that she can try to help me set up the wireless here.

went to the supermarket alone today... was in doubt abt the prices... just like singapore's supermarket, they had pricetag labels. the dollar in bigger font size and the cents in smaller fonts...
and i was wondering does 3095 means 3thousand and 95 kroner or thirty dollars and 95cents kroner. so i decided to try my luck. and heng ah, is the latter. hehez, cos i dont have enough money with me if it was the former.
and erm, they dont pack for you, gota pack ya stuff for yourself. anw, the first thing i bought was toilet paper.. haha, must have sound weird to you right... cos i didnt bring alot of tissue paper with me, and must wipe the tables, shelves but i dont have cloths and i can dry my hands with it toO.
then the second was ribena. yest 'nina' or 'lina' (the chinese lady's english name, chinese name is qu jia but she changed her name, now is qu yuan zheng) mentioned that the cold tap water can be consumed directly from the tap, so maybe justa add some favour so that i wont feel uneasy abt drinking it.
though in singapore i also drink tapwater cos we know it can be consumed but now, at a different place, tend to be skeptical... then next i bought cream crackers, just in case hungry.
all these cost 66kroners, equivalent to 18.55sgd. if shld i have known i wld have brought another luggage to put all these daily-usable stuff... anw, my luggage is only 11.7kg... arghhz..

actually, on my way to the supermarket, i saw the postal box... wana take a pic of it but like alot of cars and pple passing by, paiseh leh...like 'sua-gu' lidat, so in the end, i just see and walk away...

came home and cleaned up the place with my newly-bought toilet papers... haha. then went out again... just now i turned right so now i decided to turn left and walk my way...
walked past a museum but i wonder need money anot... then saw a windmill hse for generating electricity... *again, wana take a pic but dropped the idea cos nobody's doing that*
thot of turning back but like very funny lidat... walk to and fro... so i continued walking...walking til i saw the tram station. beside there got shops, bank and bakery... then saw the supermarket name again... thot of gg in and shop again cos wana settle my lunch.
thot of buying cup noodles but here the cup noodles is equally ex., even the mentos is 3x sin dollar, gota tink carefully before i spent every cent of my money.
was looking for rice and i found it, got sale here 2 for 25kr, initially was 1 for 19.95kr.. so i bought 2, then buy the eggs. got 2 brands but dont know y pple kept buying that one brand, i follow suit.

after paying, i realise pple here bring their own shopping bags... shucks, no bag... but the do provide small little clear plastic bags, no choice, took one of those and put my 2x1kg rice and a box of 6eggs into the bag and hug it all the way home.
lOoked so funny... got funny stares... i guess i understOod why... cos i didnt have shopping bag..

went to the kitchen to cook porridge and fried the egg... this my lunch for today... thot of buying meat but hor, hafta wait for the *nina to empty a portion for me.
then i also thinking that maybe can wait til she brings me to a cheaper supermarket then buy, dont waste too much money, buy the essentials first.

really boring, called home, spoke to mum and dad. dad says the charges are high for the pay as you roam, so ask me to use the *121 thingy... cheaper by abit.
anw, decided not call home unless emergency when my net is up, cos can use msn to chat.

my buddy msged me, asked me when i can drop by lyngby cos she's there now, but i dont know my way, and i tink nidta buy tickets for travelling on bus and trams, and i dont know how.
i guess she's really reluctant to come by and fetch me cos when i replied her that i dont know and ask how?, she didnt/hasnt reply...(at this moment that im blogging)

okie... shall play some games, then wash the utensils and read some boOk & slp... blogging off for now...

earlier on, peter told me he had wireless net at home and its foc.. or rather, included in the rental fees... but he didnt know how to configure it so he said hafta wait till monday,he gets his friend to help set up
its 10.08pm now... just had dinner..
thot i wld have chocs as dinner today, but lucky i met this other tenant of the hse, who happen to be a chinese girl.
she made dinner for us...
then yah, i was glad i met her and she say she wld help to configure my wireless here... *im just logging on my notepad then transfering to my blog when i get my net connection done.*
i hope she can help cos if cannot then hafta wait till monday. i hope to do some net surfing sOon, no entertainment as yet... hm... yah its 4.14am in singapore.

anw, me gona have a g'nite sleep and tml, i shall venture out to the supermarket on my own and also to find a way to dtu so i can meet my buddy there.

as before, i didnt feel excited even up til this moment that im in the airport now...
but intstead i am quite worried abt my parents... afterall, they are sending me half a globe away.

well, though this is my first time flying but i didnt feel excited... neither was i nervous...
anw, had trouble putting my backpack onto the cabin, the lady that sat next to me helped me...
*inside me: she's the same size as me man, if she can do it, i can... the next flight i must load it myself*

delayed departure
due to one missing passenger, the departure from singapore was delayed til 10+ sin time.
its pitch dark outside in the sky... listening to the music, a familiar melody.. the song that eric intro to me: tian tang, oh gOodnEss! reminds me of leaving...

they say the meals provided not as nice but i thot it was okie to me...

to bangkok int'l airport
flying thru the clouds... the clouds are just a window away... but im pretty boring right now... listening to the music...
i guess the plane was flying quite high, cos just as i lOoked out the window, i saw another plane coming perpendicular to our flight direction, flying under us.
slight showers before landing at bangkok, saw the lightning thru the clouds from faraway... then saw the real lightning up close, the sight was awesome, the whole dark sky lit up in split seconds and gone in the next...
anw, there wasnt really much to see cos the plane was flying thru the south china sea i tink...

transitting at bangkok int'l airport (12 midnight thai time, 1am sin)
another 40mins to go before boarding time... saw lil' children running around in the waiting area, they are so cute.
smelled sthg familiar, seemed like nus soc office the smell, the one at bryan's office... thinking back... its been 2yrs. time flies...opened up the cards one by one...
1st, reading wt's... i smiled.
2nd, read ps's... wanted to read more... but no more... y you write so lil'... i always like reading the stuff you write on these kinda cards... never fails to surprise me.

anw, they changed the boarding time to 1.40am thai time, so another 1hr to go, pretty worried that it wld result delayed arrival at Copenhagen airport...
while waiting, saw 3 men dressed like those you see in Harry Potter's movies... tall hats, long white beards...

well, having breakfast means we are landing sOon and its daytime already! hOorrAyYEee!
there are 2 diff breakie sets to choose from but wanted to take the one with hashbrowns but the lady didnt ask, she offered me the other alternative: sausage, egg with mixed veggie omelette.
gonna eat to my full cos dont know when's my next meal after this... haha

they showed MADAGASCA on board after breakie, i lifted my window shades and tune in to the show after it started showing awhile.
its funny, as least time passes faster with the show.

the view along the way before landing is something we dont see in singapore. windmills planted in the sea to generate energy & electricity i guess...

at Copenhagen Airport (7.40am Copenhagen time, 1.40om sin time)
while its a 6hrs difference btn sin n cph time, with sin ahead of the local time. wanted to call back immediately but collecting my luggage and meetin my host is priority...
it wasnt difficult finding him cos he was at the entrance and had my name written on a piece of paper.
as expected, i didnt know what to say to him after our exchanges of greetings, wanted to ask more abt his family but erm... not tOo sure if its alright... i mean, i dont know if he wld welcome such personal qns...
we tOok a cab and the longer route back to the house cos to avoid the morning traffic...

peter told me she's a russian. we exchanged greetings and i quickly made my way up...

NOT THAT i was busy, NEITHER was i sleeping but i was just plain upset with you... i really hate your 'ai-mai ai-mai' attitude... i more hate it when your msges starts with... "... .... BUT I GUESS you were busy... ... anw, take care."... hey comon' lah, i really hate it lor... out of 3 consecutive times you msged me, at least 2 will start off lidat. yah, always assume im busy... when you assume toO much, you just make an ASS out of U and ME...
well, initially i didnt feel that was bad... until that sunday we were supposed to meet... but you ASSUME i didnt call you bcos i was busy... or that i probably forgot the date... I DIDN'T, i was home the whole day! i rem you telling me you were gg to chalet so i was waiting for your call.. okie, mayb my fault i shld take the initiative to call you... then that day receive the msg... nvm... we arranged to meet the followin sunday... i dont know what got into you... its either you thot it to be the saturday... or that you got the duty last min that you wana meet on sat... i dont know, whatever the case is, i dont care... but i really hate the 'ai-mai ai-mai' attitude you shown when i called you... damn pissed off, there i was trying to make time to meet and there you are... saying nvm when you wanted to meet...

went back to nus and there were bazaars everywhere... forum, engine n sci fac...
had lunch at arts with the cpe girls then went ard the bazaar then joined merina to crash the 2010lect... saw ty, hanqiang, junyong, siew chern, zhiyuan and ziyang... met peiqi n samantha tiong on my way to the lect also...
the lt was full with 2nd n 3rd yr students... no choice me n merina had to sit on the flr, just behind ty they all... was watching the full metal anime...2 season... but only managed to watch one episode during that lect...
met ps to print notes then to the bazaars... bought the compatible ink at a cheap bargain also... but regretted not gg to the sci forum n buy cos the guy there selling the ink more gd-lOoking... haha~
met quite alot of yjcians when walking ard the sch... one of them i forgot whats the name... then met zongneng & jiewen...
afterwhich i met wee teck again...to get my mini hifi set... things turn kinda awkward for a while...

we meet at cwp 1st then she suggested asking june n joy to join... so we went to amk s11 to meet up... after so many yrs liao... things are still the same for them... sometimes looking back... i just feel that we havent changed that much... the pple we are together with are still there...

it was quite okie the entertainment part... the fOod not tOo bad... but while standing up to take photos, i kinda stain the scarf... *sianz*

was told it was a hi-fi set... but i was eyeing on the mp3...
was hoping he could get the mp3 then can exchange with him... but he didnt..

haha... i was tinking got chance.. then the 3rd no. is 6... oh.. more chance... its 106, its my partner... he got himself the prize that most guys wld want... play station set... well... we were all lucky!~ there was another couple, where both got themselves a prize at the draw... then there is also this lucky girl she wont the 9th prize...10pair of movie tixs + 100+ bucks of cash...

went to catch a movie after the dinner... got his friend to help take our prizes home... saw qp on my way out so i approached her for a really really short while before we left... then we stroll our way to PS to catch 'wedding crasher'... not tOo bad... gOOd eNding...

well... did i mention that mum was worried abt me gg out with this guy... yah she was... hmm.. i am homE safely..

went to sun plaza, then to cwp & jp to hunt for the ribbons... yet still cant find..
cant find the shoes of suitable height... went to bishan... also cant find..

did my express mani n pedicure at bishan... with the accompany of yilin n her bf...

so tired... didnt even get a single thing i want... no ribbons... bag or shoes... sianz =|

today is the start of lunar 7th mOnth... and guess wat i haven been up since yest night... *but this is not the reason for me being awake*
well.. decided not prOcrastinate anymore... get down to planning my modules for dtu as well as nus's... just sent out my revised study plan to the prof for approval ard 4plus... *hope he wont think that im crazy to be working at this hour... i just like quietnEss, w/o disruption...work better* meanwhile, just hafta wait for his approval... after he approve liao then email the lecturer to negotiate re the course instruction.. hope i get things done before 12aug where the registration for modules closes... and that, things will be smooth for me... the lecturer will let me attend his course and gimme special lectures in english...
then thot of emailing the dtu buddy thingy but decided to wait afew more days... by then if still dont have news, then email them...
wanted to find out more abt tourist spots in paris n denmark... but lOoking at this time now... not really possible...
as i went thru the list of stuff i hope to complete by staying up tonight... i actually added more stuff for myself to do...

then wOke ard 12+... so cOsy the weather... didnt wanted to wake up.. in the end, i still did... to do my module planning thingy...
met yilin at ard 3+, went to amk to get some ribbons... then to bugis...fruitless trip to bugis... found nthg i want...
then reach home to realise that the ribbons i bought earlier wasnt suitable for use... sianz *gotta hunT for it tml again...shucks*

cOokin'... the 1st timE ever for my family!~

well... today im gona cOok...orange chix, hongshao tofu & potato+sausage in tomato sauce... this is the 1st time im cOoking dinner at home... previously has cOoked at haojie's house... erhem.. had also some baking experience... but all cant be done without my recipEs...

cOoking time~ mum says the dishes that i picked very mafan... must clean the wok every time i cOok...
then didnt add salt when marinating the chix (cos the recipe didnt put), i guess its becos they had the sambal chilli to spice up the dish but i didnt put any chilli... so the meat kinda tasted bland... but got the orange smell...
hmm.. not successful cos they say not so nice... i thot it was okie but i guess it just doesnt suit their taste... 1/2 left...

next hongshao tofu, was quite alrite.. but must add more oyster sauce... didnt dare to put so much cos last time at hj's house i put tOo much then very salty...
now abit not taste for the tofu... not so bad 7/8 finished...

the potato+sausage in tomato sauce... yeahz... more successful... all gONe...wOohoOO~

went to meet up with wee teck today... 1st time seeing him... he gave me the feeling that he's quite disappointed... well...hmm... maybe i was wrong... nthg much to talk to him cos i just knew him... cant be crappy also...

went to marina sq... wah... really changed alOt then saw the lil' match girl carrier i wana buy... was hesitating... struggling... shld i buy or not buy.. in the end i bought it... call it indUlgEnce... yah... once in a while i thot its okiE...

was having prob in getting the shoes for the ball also... but later when i jump into sharon at suntec then i realise actually its not a problEm at all cos she is abt the same height as him... kekez... but by the time i met her, i was already on my way back to the mrt... mayb come back loOk see lOok sEe again with yilin on thurs after crashing lessons at ntu...
