Painting on cotton fabric


I really love how this painting turned out and I hope you do too
 
 
I painted it whilst on holiday but prepped the fabric (an old pillowcase) before I went away. I prepped it with 2 coats of white gesso on each side to stiffen it.
 
 
I can't take credit for the drawing of the  dolphins I googled photo's and downloaded them and made rough stencils out of acetate packaging- I did tweak them to fit what I wanted
 
I used Acrylic paint in varying shades and affixed the fabric to my drawing board whilst I painted
 
 
I am going to frame it and then gift it to someone I know will love it
 
I am entering this in the following challenges

    It is just splendid! Love the red color (would have expected shades of ocean blues) - it is so magnificent - just like a gorgeous sunset blaze with these lovely dolphins cavorting as a silver moon is on the rise. Your artistic skills are so amazing. TFS & have a wonderful upcoming week.
