Milk Carton Container Tutorial

It's ready! I hurried as fast as I could because so may of you told me you wanted to make these for Halloween. The tutorial is 20 pages of photos and instructions to create the Milk Carton Container as a Christmas gift but can be easily changed to any occasion.

File Folder Organizer

I made this for my newest downline, Rhonda Kelly. A little 'welcome to the group' gift.

Milk Carton Container

While standing in line at Target buying that cart for the Silent Auction, I spotted these little boxes of Milk Duds and it gave me a great idea. I loved making those Frappacino containers a couple years ago but they were so much trouble. This one is very simple and quick! After I worked out the measurements, this project can easily be completed in an hour. And you guess it...the tutorial is on it's way in the next couple weeks.

The whole thing measures 4 3/4" x 4" x 6 1/2" Very small...you know how I love little projects *Ü* Each container is only 2 1/4" x 1 3/4" x 4 1/4".

I gotta tell ya, this is one of my favorite things I've made in a long time!!

Nicholas' Flower Tutorial

While creating my 12 Days of Christmas, Nicholas decided to make his own tutorial using his new favorite toy the Big Shot. Man, does he ever love that thing. I have more bits and pieces of die cuts around here than you could even imagine!!

Here you go...step by step. Now you too can create a beautiful bouquet for your mom! Enjoy!!

Silent Auction Time of the Year Again

It's been a while since I've posted anything. I've been stamping up a few new projects to show you in the next couple weeks but I've also been working on the kids Silent Auction for school. I somehow volunteered to help and ended up being in charge of the donations and on a committee of ONE! You gotta love that! It's all over Thursday night and life will resume as usual :)

This is my Stampin' Up! donation to the auction. It came together pretty cute in this little storage unit from Target ($24.95). There are little buckets hanging on each side full of fun stamped items like post it notes, pen, key chain and Stampin' Up! Chap stick. Hanging on the back is a
12 x 12 Craft Keeper with papers and a scrapbook kit. I hope someone bids on it!!
I made gifts for our President, VP and Treasure of the PTA who have been working as hard as I have. This is a pattern from the ever-so-creative, Andrea Walford. Her pattern can be down loaded here.

They are...guess what.....wait for it.....MORE STINKIN' PEPPERMINT PATTIES!!! Yes, I said I was done with them forever but I guess I'm not *Ü* The girls loved them! This pattern is very easy. The lids are acetate or as Stampin' Up! used to sell, window sheets. I wish they would bring those back.

I'm also working on a Demonstrator Only Event here in Boise on November 6th. Beth Suhr and I are hosting the event at the Comfort Suites if any demonstrators in the area would like to attend. More Under The Stars

I guess I need to add a few more details to this...I thought by now everyone had seen these stationary boxes and made at least one! Thank you for your questions, I'll do my best to include them all in my explanation.

The box itself and the instructions are from Jackie Topa. Her tutorial can be found here.

In the box there are three pockets. The large pocket is for regular cards and envelopes. One of the smaller pockets is used to hold four 3" x 3" cards and envelopes. I made my little card fronts the same on all 4. I made 2 with Old Olive and 2 with Chocolate Chip cardstock.

The tags are in the other pocket. My tag fronts are all the same. I made 2 in Real Red and 2 in Baja Breeze. My tag size is 2 1/4" x 2 1/2".In my box, I included 4 cards and 4 envelopes. Two each of these two designs. Yes, I cut the raccoon apart and it's just his head and butt hanging out. The top card is the bears head and upper body inside the wide oval punch. The layer is made using the oval Coluzzle. Bottom card, both ovals are with the Coluzzle. Bears are stamped on Creamy Caramel cardstock. I used watercolor crayons to shade them a bit.
Outside Cover

I used Lovely as a Tree and masked the raccoon. I used watercolor crayons and blender pens to color it in. Those are fake buttons on the left with 1/2" & 1/4" circle punches.

In Jackie's instructions she makes this into an address book. I made mine into a birthday book.

Somehow my lighting didn't turn out very well for this one! That makes me mad since I've already mailed this gift...oh well, it looks great in person Ü

Large Magazine Holder and Mini Magazine Holder

Large Magazine Holder houses regular 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" cards and envelopes while the Mini Magazine Holder (shown in an earlier post) houses 3" x 3" cards and envelopes. The cards shown here are the regular size cards. In the instructions you'll see photos of the front, back and sides of the holders (they're soooo cute!), a closer view of the star topiary card and the little 3" x 3" cards.
