Blog Hop {Market Street Stamps and Ribbon Carousel}
If you are hopping along with Market Street Stamps and Ribbon Carousel today - you are in the right place! Welcome!
If you aren't already a follower, I'd love to have you follow my blog!
If you are one of my regular readers: Thanks for coming back! I love having you! Please join along in the hop - you can find out more on either the Market Street Stamps blog or the Ribbon Carousel blog.
Be sure to join in on the fun as Market Street Stamps is giving away TWO $25 gift certificates and Ribbon Carousel is giving away a newly released ribbon carousel.
For my card I started by stamping the peacock image (drawn by me!) from the Birds of a Feather set from Market Street Stamps in Tuxedo Black ink. I added a bit of color with my Copic markers and then cut it to a simple tag shape. I then tied off the top of the tag with a little bow of The Twinery's Pink Sorbet twine.
For the base of my card, I combined my patterned papers with some Pink Salmon Vintage Seam Binding and added a button threaded with The Twinery's Buttercream twine.
If you are the "sketchy" type, here is the sketch I created and used for my card:
Be sure to head back to the Market Street Stamps blog or the Ribbon Carousel blog to find the list of all the other stops on the hop!
Thanks for stopping by today!

February Sketch Challenge {Authentique Paper}
{As seen today on the Authentique Paper blog}
Authentique Paper is back with another sketch challenge!
Generally I play along with the card sketch, but this time I am changing it up a bit and using the layout sketch:
For my layout I combined a 12x12 paper from the new Genuine line and added in a pop of orange from the Free Bird collection (Endless).
I love that the neutral denim/blue color scheme of the Genuine collection allows for adding in any pop of color and will allow the collection to be truly versatile.
Because I am not a scrapper, my only goal was to get a picture on the page to document a little trip my husband and I took to Tahoe.
I added in a seam binding bow and a stick pin to add a little embellishment, but I feel like these papers could have stood on their own.
Be sure to head on over to the Authentique Paper blog to see the coordinating card sketch - and get yourself in on the challenge!
And, if you didn't make it to CHA - check out this quick tour of the Authentique Paper booth...you will get a peek at the four newest lines: Celebrate, Genuine, Loyal, and Delightful.
Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Authentique Paper (Genuine - Perfection); Authentique Paper (Free Bird - Endless);
Ink: Ranger (Distress Stain - Wild Honey);
Embellishments: Maya Road (Mini Tickets - Transparency); Jillibean Soup (Pin - Blue/Orange);
Other: HugSnug (Seam Binding - Chalk White);
Tools: Tim Holtz (Tiny Attacher); Fiskars (Trimmer, Scissors);

Hello Sunshine
Twine is hot right now in crafting and AWDML carries a fabulous selection!
Let's take a look at the awesome twine from The Twinery...
What you may notice about the twine from The Twinery is that it is very colorful. Traditional bakers twine generally has one strand of color twisted with 3 strands of white. The Twinery's twine has double the color to add a great pop of color to your cards and layouts.
The Twinery's twine is 100% cotton and eco-friendly so you don't have to save it just for paper crafting. It is perfect for packaging baked goods, wrapping gifts, and you can also mix it into your party decor.
{And here's a little bonus - The Twinery's twine is all made in the USA.}
For this card I've tied the Caribbean twine in a bow and used it to top off the "i" - what will you do with your twine?
Here's a sketch for you sketch lovers:
Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Doodlebug Designs - Various Orange Accent Papers
Letter Stickers: American Crafts - Thickers
Twine: The Twinery - Caribbean
Pen: Ranger - Opaque White Pen
Tools: EK Success/Martha Stewart - Scoring Board; Fiskars - Paper Trimmer
