The Project:
I will be the first to admit that I am not a scrapbooker.
Sure, I have created layouts before, but scrapbooking just isn't my thing.
I have recently started enjoying making mini albums, but there are still some products made specifically for layout makers that don't necessarily translate for card makers (or mini album makers) - mainly due to their size.
One of those things is journaling cards.
I love the 12x12 sheets with a fun arrangement of journaling cards, but they are generally too large to incorporate into journaling spots for the small size albums that I prefer to make.
For this project, I decided to take the journaling cards from the Happy Go Lucky collection from My Little Shoebox and use them as the pages of my mini album. They are a great size for mini album pages and provide a great space for journaling about the pictures.
{I guess journaling *is* what they were intended for after all...}
I finished my mini album by adding accents using Cappuccino, Caribbean, Honeydew, and Blossom twine from The Twinery. I love how just a little touch of twine can add fun dimension and interest to an otherwise flat project.
