We only had a couple of weeks before my family came into town. We tried exploring the island (although we did more when family came) and wanted to get everything in before the kids started school at the beginning of August. I'd say this was one of my busiest summers and I was pooped!
We did a lot of park days
We bought passes to wet and wild in Kapolei. Ani wanted to go for her birthday so we figured it was a better deal to go more than once and get the passes.
The day we went, these were free
It's definitely not the best water park we've been to, but it was still a lot of fun with the Laus.
Bray and his friend, Jon, started to really get into skateboarding. We were taking them to different parks. Our favorite at the time was in Hawaii Kai. It didn't seem to be that busy, and the boys seemed nicer. We found that the older boys were super helpful and would give Bray and Jon tips, it was the boys that were just a little older that were kind of rude. Either Noelle or I would stay with the boys and the other would take the younger ones to the park.
The little ones were pretty patient but I think they looked forward to going to Aunty Joy's pool after we were done.
I love this house. I told Dane I want one just like it. :)
It even has really nice grass for the kids to play.
A pic from when we went shopping for a skateboard. Kiele got comfortable.
Our local pool is free. Compared to the pool in Utah, you know why once you go inside but it is fine for the kids.
The Saturday before Ani's birthday, Just the two of us went to eat Nabe. Yum.
Then we went to the mall and she got to choose things for her birthday. She loved it. She wanted this suit but when we sent the picture to Dane, he said...nah.
While we were shopping, Dane took the other kids to eat at this saimin place that had high reviews. He said it was really good.
Natalie and Kalena. Kalena and Kiele have the same personality. They get along pretty well when they are not trying to bite each other. I'm holding Carson. He's such a cutie.
We went to a dinner for Jordan. He went up to Arizona for college. He is such a good kid. Fast runner, too.
Kili's birthday is the day before Ani's. We went to the beach during the day.
At the night we went to Chuck E Cheese. Kids love it.
They loved dancing to cupid shuffle and getting tickets

End of Baseball
While we were in Utah, Bray's baseball team had a lot of hard games and losses. When he came back they started winning, so they called him their lucky charm. Their last game was close, but they ended up losing. The luck ran out, I guess. He still had a great time with the boys. I was so impressed with the coaching staff and the kids. They were a great bunch of boys and I was so happy we found this league for Bray to participate.
Girls watching the game
Aunty Tiffy came to watch and brought Bray some presents.

First Bon Dance
Happy 4th of July!
We spent the holiday with the family. We decided on going to the beach and it was so crazy. Luckily, Uncle Mike brought his bike down and after we unloaded the kids, we parked far and he drove the drivers back. I have never, NEVER, seen the beach that busy before. I don't know if we will ever do it again. I guess everyone likes spending the day at the beach on holidays.
This picture doesn't show how far and deep those tents went...
The lifeguards had to go out and safe a girl in the water that was drinking. She was so drunk, they called the ambulance.
Waiting while Uncle Mike took our daddy to get our car
We came home to bbq and eat. We watched the fireworks from the lanai and it was a perfect view.
