We have missed our 'lihi so much the last two years. He recently came home from Bolivia. His flight was suppose to come in on a friday but being American Airlines (we have issues with this specific airline) they canceled his flight and he didn't arrive until Saturday morning. We all went up to welcome him home!
The family reunited... We face-timed my brother while he
was walking out to the area. I couldn't stop crying. I was so excited.
Sach made the coolest, heaviest and most time consuming lei's...
All the elders that returned home
Aunty Kehau made him spam musubi's. He requested them. So Kiele is eating some. My parents actually made him some the night before and were going to make him a lei out of them. Since he didn't come in that night, we ate them all for dinner. :)
Alihi was nani's favorite before he left
The next day was his homecoming. He has an accent! He sounds so different. He has a lot of latin mannerisms. If you listen to him, with his spanish accent, he doesn't look the part being poly and all. It's so crazy. He did a great job with his talk. He has grown so much.
We had lunch at Westmore Park after sacrament
I don't know if Uncle Sam is kissing Dane?!
Ash moved back from Hawaii! She has such bad timing!! :) Isn't she a babe?

Last of August & Labor Day
My cousin, Keala, graduated from Provo College last month. She packed up her things and her parents came up for graduation. She moved back home but it was fun to have her here.
Soccer season started last month and has now ended. Three of the kids played this year. Dane coached Mika's team. He says it's the most he's worked out all year...walking up and down the field. Pathetic! :) Mika likes to just run and smile at us. She is not concerned at all with chasing the ball. She chases the pack of kids. Their team name is sharks.
Bray is playing in the Utah county division. It seems to be a little more intense. The goals are bigger and the players are better. I think the parents yell louder too. He has a great coach and has been learning so much more this year. At his first game he made two goals. One was within a minute of the game starting. He was pumped. Their team name is the alligators.
Ani seemed to like it this year. She has come leaps and bounds from her first year. She hustles her little bum around that field. She actually scored two goals this season. She was so happy.
Ilikea's farewell was at the end of August. I can't believe she is old enough to go on a mission. All the families went to Provo for her talk. I took a pic of baby emi with her cool eye cover. My babies would have never worn those!
We do a lot of waiting at Bray's soccer practices
Labor Day weekend, we went camping with some friends. Our good friends/neighbors, the Evans, never really go camping. Back in February we decided to get a place and a group of friends.
The first day it was raining as we were heading up there. We were a little nervous for the weather but it would let up every once in awhile. We all picked up some fast food on the way up. We put up camp and some smores over Pat's camp chef. We found out when we got up there that we couldn't light a fire. LAME! We made these delicious rolls with honey butter too. Yum. When we finally went to bed we could see lightning in the valley.
Around 5 am I awoke to wind, rain, and thunder & lightning. I heard little Kate crying as she ran to the car. She's deathly afraid of wind and thunder. I went to their car to check on them and it was pretty freaky. The lightning was close and I was even worried. I went back to my tent and my dad had texted to get in the truck. We got Bray and Ani (Kiele and Mika were at my parent's) and went to my dad's truck. Around 6:30 it cleared up and we were hanging under the easy corners with the Crowther's. All of a sudden it started to thunder and lightning again. We were going to make a run for it to the car when it stopped after three times. It was the craziest weather. Everyone else started to come out of their tents a little after and we had breakfast.
Reed shows us his hula hoop skills...
Pat telling Reed what to do with his arms
All the kids loved the hula hoops. Good call seamons!
We headed into town for a movie. Half the group saw the new wimpy kid and the other half went to madagascar. We had lunch at Cafe Rio. That's my kind of camping! When we went back camp it rained off and on. Some of the kids went fishing and caught.
As the day went on, it got even nicer. We played some water volleyball for the kids and played some real volleyball too.
We grilled some chicken for dinner and went to bed pretty early. We were all pretty tired from the crazy, long night before. We played catch a phrase and some people were falling asleep. ahem, pat...
Sunday was the best weather. Nice, warm and sunny.
Pat made pancakes for everyone
playing name that tune
since it was sunday, we told the kids they couldn't swim. some "accidentally" fell in. the water was really stinky this year!
so we went on a little hike with everyone around the area
After our hike, we had a very competitive game of corn holes. Don't you love the name of the game? I didn't even know it was called that. Anyways, it was really fun. I think Devon Crowther came out the winner. Even adults were playing too. So fun!
Spectators of the game
We relaxed under the easy corners. I can't remember why Kat wanted to get Pat but since she forgot the night before to put the fish head in his tent, she dangled it in front of his face while he was relaxing.
We BBQ'd hot dogs and hamburgers for dinner and then started to clean up camp. They had the biggest spiders up there. We found this spider on the Crowther's tent. It doesn't do it justice since I didn't put something else in there to compare it to.
It was such a great camping trip with friends. The kids all got along so well together for the most part. We made some great memories. While we were packing up camp, we made plans to do something together the next day. We still had leftover food to eat. We met at noon at our house to have sandwiches and headed up to Highland to try sliding rock. The water was freezing but it was a blast!
It actually looks like it hurts but it really doesn't
Brett was so cool to catch everyone at the bottom
We love all these guys...
