things fall apart, the center cannot holddon't let your anger destroy you
heartache
love the heart that hurts you
but never hurt the heart that loves you
of Faith and religion
Once there was a man who dared God to speak
Burn the bush like you did for Moses, God
And i will follow
Collapse the walls like you did for Joshua, God
And i will fight
Still the waves like you did on Galilee, God
And i will listenAnd so the man sat by a bush, near a wall, close to the sea and waited for God to speak.
And God heard the man, so God answered.
He sent fire, not for a bush, but for a church.
He brought down a wall, not of brick, but of sin.
He stilled a storm, not of the sea, but of a soul.
And God waited for the man to respond. And he waited.
And he waited...
And waited.
But because the man was looking at bushes, not hearts;
bricks and not lives, seas and not souls,
he decided that God had done nothing.
Finally he looked to God and asked,
Have you lost your power? And God looked at him and said,
Have you lost your Faith?
Results and Roses
The man who wants a garden fair,
Or small or very big,
With flowers growing here and there,
Must bend his back and dig.
The things are mighty few on earth
That wishes can attain,
Whatever we want of any worth
We've got to work to gain.
It matters not what goal you seek
Its secret here reposes:
You've got to dig from week to week
To get Results or Roses.
Mr. Meant - To
Mr. Meant-To has a comrade,
And his name is Didn't-Do;
Have you ever chanced to meet them?
Did they ever call on you?
These two fellows live together
In the house of Never-Win,
And I'm told that it is haunted
By the ghost of Might-Have-Been.
faces, places and spaces
the beauty mesmerised me.
could such a space truly be framed?
open mouthed. gaping.
it transcends time and space. such dazzling splendor.
gorgeousness. exquisite.
but it ends in all finality. leaving me feeling tasteless.
hope.
Hope. It is the quintessential human delusion, simultaneously the source of your greatest strength and your greatest weakness.
If I were you, I would hope that we don't meet again.
We won't.
what is hope? we cling onto it in times of need. but this kinda hope, really is a human delusion. the only real hope there is, is the hope and the faith we put into reiligion. into our belief in God. we Hope for Salvation. and the reason we cling onto this Hope, is because of our Faith. all i can wish for, is that with every passing day, my Faith will grow stronger. the rope of Hope dangling before me gets stronger, as i climb onwards, upwards, to that final destination. that Salvation.
why do we do it?
"Why, Mr. Anderson? Why do you do it? Why get up? Why keep fighting? Do you believe you're fighting for something? For more than your survival? Can you tell me what it is? Do you even know? Is it freedom? Or truth? Perhaps peace? Yes? No? Could it be for love? Illusions, Mr. Anderson. Vagaries of perception. The temporary constrects of a feeble human intellect trying deperately to justify an existence that is without meaning or purpose. You must be able to see it, Mr. Anderson. You must know it by now. You can't win. It's pointless to keep fighting. Why, Mr. Anderson? Why? Why do you persist?!"to justify an existence that is without meaning or purpose... Why do you persist?Neo replied with a simple "Because I choose to". but does that answer anything? Or does that just prove that Agent Smith is right? Is everything around you an illusion? just vagaries of perception? Undeniably, our feeble human intellect tries desperately to justify our existence. But is it truly without meaning or purpose? is it?
we give our life its own meaning and purpose. fuel it. define it. its what you choose to do that matters and you don't have any need to justify your actions as long as its what you believe in and you know its what is right. and so what if its pointless to keep fighting? should we ever give up? even if we know we can't win? can't succeed? no. we persist. we stick to what we believe in. because we choose to.
