After gaining popularity through his solo project, FARIZ RM frequently formed band groups in various genres. At almost the same time, Fariz became part of several groups such as TRANSS, SYMPHONY, JAKARTA RHYTHM SECTION, and WOW!. The WOW! group itself was formed by Fariz along with IWAN MADJID and DARWIN B. RACHMAN. Their debut album was released in 1983 under the title PRODUK HIJAU. Together, they brought songs with a progressive rock vibe, featuring unusual melodic twists, reminiscent of the song patterns and arrangements of GENESIS, RUSH, or EMERSON LAKE & PALMER. The unique timbre of IWAN MADJID's voice combined with FARIZ's distinctive voice turned out to be quite harmonious. Numbers that are considered 'heavy' for the average listener are featured in this album. It might be a bit difficult to break through the market competition filled with easy listening songs, but this album has top-notch quality. No wonder, this album ranked in the top 100 of the 150 BEST INDONESIAN ALBUMS OF ALL TIME according to ROLLINGSTONE INDONESIA magazine. The hit from this album is "PURIE DHEWAYANI," a slow-tempo song performed excellently by IWAN MADJID.
