Legacy to Remember !!
On January 4th we said good bye to Grandpa George Conover. Almost 94 years old, married almost 72years and they lived at home basically independent for the entire time. Certainly something to Celebrate!
The only sad part was he fell in his home from what we believe was the result of a broken top of his femur. In the fall he fractured his shoulder in three places. Two surgeries in the same day. The first successful from a local to repair the hip. Later he went back in to be put totally under to pin the shoulder. The plan was to secure it because it would be needed in the rehab to get better from the hip injury. While in the recovery, he had a heart attack and he flat lined. CPR started the heart again but resulted in broken ribs.
Three days in ICU and no real progress, the family decided to put him in a private room and provide comfort which were his wishes.
He was relieved from all pain the next morning after Paul gave him a blessing and released him.
We had such great support from many. Some came from as far as Nevada, Arizona, Arkansas, Ohio and New York.
The Natural Man in us all leaves us very Sad. We are so grateful for the support of many Loved ones.
The Military honors were very special!
We know that Grandpa was very proud of his family and was celebrating along with us.
Grandsons who Loved and Learned from Grandpa Honor him!
Thanks Kids for such much support during and after!!!
Grandma has spent so many years depending on Grandpa and now is not there to meet her needs. We have been blessed to have her stay at our home since the surgery. Going home is not an option with her special needs. Retirement from the day to day operations of the store since the first of the year has allowed us to show her how much we love her each day.
Caden helping his dad picking up after a very special day! Thanks Bud! …..”and men are that they may have Joy”! This is it….FAMILY!

Colton Craig Steele Blessing Day
We were privileged to host the family gathering for our little Colton. It was a great day. There were lots of family and friends who were able to attend and share the day. We missed those who were not able to be with us but know that they were desirous to be here.
Lots of visiting and getting to know each other better!
Games to entertain.
Because of the LOVE. Mother to Son to Grandson!!
We were glad to have family travel the distance.
You can take it to the Bank there was lots of good food!
Big day around the table as well.
Sooo many choices!!
Because two people fell in LOVE!
Some thought it was a longer day than others. Still had food in his mouth.
So excited to have a turn Holding Colton. We are still working on him….especially Liesel!!

Thanksgiving/Christmas in Arkansas
We have not been with Audrey and Brady for Thanksgiving since they left Utah over 10 years ago. Decided it was about time but struggled leaving the mass behind. We picked up unwanted baby items from Audrey and brought them home for Jessica. (Thus the drive out) which we actually enjoy very much. Audrey wondered if we would run out of things to talk about. …Not a chance!
They decided that it would be a good idea to mix Thanksgiving and Christmas while there. We gave the kids a Trampoline and put it together. They each got some other items.
Clothes for those VERY special dolls they collect.
They always LOVE to have Grandma make something for them. Good thing she went to sewing school.
Tadaa… Hats. I told Kayla they were great Pioneer hats of which she is obsessed with at this time. I was informed…… they are Patriot hats grandpa. Da
Next Project….We had a trip to the park and picked leaves on different sizes and colors and brought them home with Audreys guidance.
Picking just the right size and color!!!!
Modge Poge. and the perfect placement.
Everyone had to help.
The finished product.
Even with a trip to Arkansas, I found that OUR traditions go on in other places. Had a great time and ended up with a sore shoulder. Notice Alyssa in the back of Brady’s truck. She went with here Daddy and made sure that we had the right gauge of shell as needed.
A Cox tradition that was GREAT and we had never tried. Smoked Turkey. What a very special day.
Brady took us to a University of Arkansas basketball game. They played Utah Valley University. Catherine asked me….who do we cheer for? I told her to choose and then go it quietly. ha ha
We went to the Ozark Lights and had a wonderful evening.
Audrey got a new laptop from us as part of her Christmas. We had fun setting it up and then laughed because we were all on our own. Myself as well on the other couch. Audrey was being tutored by Mom on Pintrest.
My shopping had me sneaking out for a quick trip up to Bentonville to look as something I had been watching and just happened to be close by. THANKS KIDS FOR SUCH A WONDERFUL TIME!!!!

Annual Sibling Trip (Hawaiian Cruise)
Each sibling has taken a turn at picking where the
others will go on a trip. This year was Brent and Edie.
7 Day Cruise of the Hawaiian Islands. GREAT PICK GUYS!
On the big Island we stopped at a Macadamia
Nut Factory. 27000 acres of nuts. These pine trees were
planted as wind breaks. Catherine has been eyeing them
for several trips but never close enough to touch. They were
as soft as she thought they would be.
What a great way to be greeted to the Town of Kona
on the big Island. Thanks Moroni
