A simple story

After being lost in cyberspace for about a year, i've finally managed to recover this blog address and swipe the dust off its cover! heh so much for being lame... well, for some "strange" reason i had to find this blog again and now that i've found it, i thought perhaps i should resurrect it once more... too much time perhaps? its now the holidays anyway right? mmmmm

anyway if you're thinking whats he talking about, don't bother trying to figure, i'm going to just post pictures of my recent aussie trip and maybe rant my thoughts here... haha ^^.

After running here and there doing work for quite some time, i decided to take a break by going on a backpacking trip to thailand and i managed to get julius to go along with me... actually i didn't have much expectations of the trip at all, since i just wanted to get away from Singapore for a while, but i must say that this trip has been a really wonderful surprise... almost everything we planned for didn't happen in the way expected, but in an even more interesting and exciting way! heh so many interesting stories along the way, but i guess i shall just leave you guys with a couple of pictures taken there... enjoy ^^

chinatown in bangkok... check out those wires hanging loosely above the streets... scary...

never have i visited so many temples in my life before! gosh... thailand is really filled with these everywhere!

believe it or not... those are fried bugs! eeewwww.... yucks!

waterfall in the forests of Chiang Mai...

in Chiang Mai, we had the opportunity to go trekking in the mountains to visit the people living in the villages up there and stay with them for one night... it was an eye opener in many ways.

thats me, julius and Han (a really nice taiwanese guy) riding on one super greedy elephant! ^^

houses in the village... indeed tropical uh... ^^

before... an innocent boar in the village...

after... BBQ boar! really it was an experience! not only the taste, but the entire process... *shudders*

and we were honoured to have the children of the village sing to us by the fire... ^^

early morning in the village... it was really cold! must have been like near 0 degrees or something! brrrr!

Sukhothai... one of the highlights of the trip... Actually i feel like we didn't get to see much of the old ruins... perhaps its a good thing, so that we can still look forward to going back if we really do next time! hehe

jus me and julius....

impressive uh... ^^

no really... it wasn't my fault!

i particularly like this picture of the ruins and its reflected image on the surface of the still water...

bangkok traffic... yes its really mad there. don't even think of driving!

on the way to the famous Ko Phi Phi island via boat...

where the sun goes, so does the people tanning on the beach go too! mmm ok maybe except this guy here!

Sitting on the sandy beach watching people playing beach volleyball and basking in the sun with the waves splashing in the background can be quite therapeutic too... mmm this is highly recommended!

its real.... and smelly too! hahaha ^^

Besides going to the beach in Phuket, i tried to go around visiting the resorts... there were so many beautiful resorts and this is just one of them... how i wished i could stay in one of these. haha but i know if i did, i wouldn't have been able to fly back to Singapore! *grins*

thats me on the sandy beach!

Sunset from the beach of Phuket...

Return flight back home... here you can make out the singapore skyline from the window seat of the airplane! ahhh... home sweet home!

the Monsoon Season... so what can people like us in Singapore expect? Was making my way to school one night when i noticed the sky lighting up to the streaks of lighting flashing... Amazing and scay... History has it that Lighting once striked near Luther and because of that he quit law school to become a monk! Wonder if i would do the same too... ^^

no idea what conspired within me to try smoking, but a couple of friends (including koreans) and i decided one night after a drink to get down to Arab street and have a "social" smoke... ;) the rest is history, but as a first time smoking with a hookah, it was an interesting experience for me! Advice? don't try to inhale too much smoke at one time, although it might seem really cool to have so much smoke coming out of your mouth and nostrils... ^^

Amazing! *thanks Shi'ai for the hair, its really cool!* how i wished it could stay tho' i think i look kinda cool with it. what do you all think? ^^

perhaps we spend the most of our lives waiting and waiting...
mmmm even though computers were meant to help people with their work, we still wait for them to save and process information....
as i type, i'm still waiting for my photoshop to save my document... *sigh*
