Newest books on the "to read" list over the next few weeks

I am excited about two fairly new books that I just got on my kindle.  I have a birthday gift card that I have been holding to for a bit, trying to figure out what books to get on my kindle. We are going to be traveling quite a bit over the next two weeks, so in my life that looks like lots of time in airports or  on airplanes or long taxi rides.  Perfect time to read. Yes, the kids will be traveling with us but they are getting old enough where they don't have to be entertained all the time, and they can play amongst themselves. Yes I really did just say that... Woohoo! It's not perfect but we are working on it!

Anyway, here are the books. Do you have other recommendations?

building a stretcher out of scrap material...

So there is some roofing repair work going on at our house, and the man working out kind of throws the scrap materials in the grass till he finishes at the end of the day. Well these two found some wood, and decided to make a stretcher.  As you can tell in one of the photos, one doesn't mind bossing the other around, even though said one is the smallest! Ha!

The week before Easter, we received a manilla envelope of something. I didn't know what was in it but we opened it and were shocked at all the cards that were sent our way!!!

just like Mamaw uses

Months ago when we went to the big city for a short respite, I went grocery shopping with a friend who  lives there.  We came across this shampoo and I thought "wow, what a treat!" And I bought two bottles! I know, you may not view this as a treat, but it just felt like a bit of home.

Then when we got home, and I brought out the shampoo for us to use, the girls got so excited! They said "this is the SAME brand of shampoo that Mamaw uses!!!"  And that made some great grandkids hearts very happy!  We love you Mamaw!
