Fall Thanks

Made this card with a leaf die from Impression Obsession and Thanks die from Simon Says Stamp...
I die cut the leaves with watercolor paper and used distress inks, some water and brush and colored the leaves...FUN!!!  Layered and curled just a bit.  I had purchased a pack of variety papers from Simon Says Stamp and the watercolor as well as the white woodgrain paper were part of the pack...love the intricate texture of this woodgrain paper!!  Used Glossy Accents on the sentiment and an older Hero Arts stamp (Modern Lines which I think is retired) for the background.
Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Hello, Hello, Hello!

I made three cards using the new "hello" die from Simon Says Stamp!  This die lends itself to simplicity, but ALSO lends itself to a small sentiment tucked in the curves of it's script...
Just HAD to put a "happy" sentiment in the loop of that "h"...and then the colors to go with it:)!! The "happy" is from a Simon Says Stamp set called Lots of Thanks.  I had used a piece of the  Simon Says Stamp 120lb white cardstock I had purchased in a variety pack of really cool papers...there is even wood veneer in the pack...I LOVE WOOD PAPER...oh I digress...this  white cardstock is amazing...super thick...great for die cutting...looks amazing!!

This one was made with washi tape from Michael's...I think it was supposed to be black, but it clearly looked brown to me...so paired it with a tropical blue card, and positioned towards the lower corner.  The sentiment is from the new set, Sketchy Banner Greetings, stamped in Early Espresso.

I was on a washi tape roll and made another with the tape in black...paired together with a bright yellow card:)!!  The sentiment is cut apart sentiment from the You set from Simon Says Stamp....this one  I chose the middle for the "hello".  Here's a pic of the tapes I used...LOVE washi for it's smaller patterns that look so cool with sentiment dies like this!!...

Gingham Sunflowers

I used some new dies from the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember® release , Whimsical Flowers and their coordinating dies and turned the flower dies into sunflowers...sort of?!...
Well...I was going to put black middles in them, then decided on dark brown...and they kind of remind me of sunflowers ...so sunflowers they are.  I used a really cool die, the new Simon Says Stamp Curved Edge and cut away part of the front of the card.  Exposing the inside, I decided to carry the gingham to the inside of the card.   I used an Inkadinkado Cover the card stamp for the gingham, die cut the flowers after stamping.  I used the gingham to make the inside panel for the card, too...here is a pic of the card open...
I die cut the  leaves and used the stamps from the set to add veins to the leaves, the middle of the flowers is Bazzill Java colored paper...
The yellow paper is from A Muse.  The sentiment is also from Simon Says Stamp from the new STAMPtember® set Thanks...

CAS•ology 61...Silhouette

The cue card this week at CAS•ology is Silhouette.  I opted to use my favorite tree die to create a silhouette...
This tree die is kind of perfect for a split silhouette (that's what I'm calling it)...only take a tip from my MANY attempts at getting it right...measure the 1/2 way distance across the card all the way down.  I put a piece of eclipse tape down the 1/2 card measure line, THEN lined up the tree die at the "V" at the top and the hole in the die at the bottom...removed the tape while holding the die, then used the tape to tape down the die.  I die cut BOTH colors at the same time, but the bottom color a second time.  I die cut them both together so they would be cut in the exact same place on the papers.  Hope that makes sense. THEN...I cut the whole panels with my cutting board together in half...aligning the "v" and 1/2 the trunk as my cutting points.   If you get it...it only takes a few minutes to put it together.  I layered with opposite colors underneath and pierced around the card with my paper piercer.  The sentiment is from a new Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember® release set, Sketchy Banner Greetings.  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

CAS(E) this Sketch #44...Smile

The sketch this week at CAS(E) this Sketch was a little perplexing for me...being the literal person I am...not much of an out-of-the-box thinker......couldn't figure out what to do with a half oval/circular shape...and the sentiment over it??  Here's my take and the sketch...

I tried bending some black paper for a smile, but wound up getting out a rainbow die and used the second smallest ring of the rainbow for the smile...cutting the ends of the smiles from other random rings.  The "smile" sentiment is cut from a Hero Arts sentiment...DONE:)!!   Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
EDITED***  The ladies at CAS(E) this Sketch! chose my card for one of the Favorites this week!!
I am smiling ear to ear, and so honored to have been recognized...thank you so much:)!!!
