The Color of Fun...Game Tile Cards

I LOVE SCRABBLE!!  When I saw the Game Tiles stamp and die set from the new Simon Says Stamp, The Color of Fun release, I was IN LOVE!!  This set has SO MANY possibilities, and for friends and family that love Scrabble, and I have LOTS of them, and I'm sure you do, too, this set is a must have!! I made three cards to show you!   I made a birthday card with a rainbow of color tiles...
I die cut then stamped and clear embossed the tiles(adhered the tile to paper before stamping so that when you emboss the tile you don't have to hold onto a tiny, hot tile), then layered each tile.  I used each of the lettered tiles, placing them around the card, then placed a card-size acrylic block over the tiles, covered them with ink, and stamped them all at one time onto the card.  Here's a close up....

The second one is a very personalized card for my favorite Scrabble player, my sister Rachel, who calls me "The Scrabble Queen"(I think that's why she's my favorite player...I win a lot)!  She lives 700 miles away, and I miss her terribly!!  I KNOW she will LOVE a Scrabble card...
I used wood veneer paper for the second AND third cards...thought it gave the tiles such an authentic look!!

The third one I used the three tile die to make a grid to place my "love you" on....
I just kept placing the die around the card stock piece, making sure to keep at least one of the squares of the die in an already die cut square...to keep the die cutting straight and perfectly spaced.  I layered these tiles, like with the other two cards, and added a layered die cut heart over the "o" to make it all a little more special, for color and added texture:)!!   Here's a close up...
Hope you will get to check out the new release over at Simon Says Stamp...it IS "The Color of Fun"!!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

The Color of Fun Release...Graphic Twist Cards

Simon Says Stamp came out with a new release yesterday, The Color of Fun...and what incredible fun this release truly is!!  There are not only fun, pretty, cool new stamp sets, with coordinating as well as amazing stand alone dies, and stencils too, but 12 new gorgeous color inks...I AM IN LOVE!!!  I am so happy and thankful to have a number of the new products to create with...I have been having SO MUCH FUN!!!  I have a couple cards to show you today that I made using the Graphic Twist die...this die is SO COOL!!!...
This die has such presence and design, all it needs is a sentiment:)!! This first one I inlaid the pieces of the die.  I layered and adhered the top white panel with 2 more white die cuts underneath.  The "thank you" is from the Many Thanks stamp set also by Simon.  Here's a close up...

Then I used the die across the card on a diagonal, using the pieces of the die cut, layered for a raised look...
There are two layers of each color.  Here's a close up...
I will be posting more cards using more of this fun release...so hope you will check back with me, until then, check out the "Fun" for yourself at Simon...
Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Oopsie Daisy Leftovers

I don't always love eating leftovers, but always love using leftovers... cards, not food...hee hee!  I took the leftover die cuts from my earlier card to make yet another birthday card...same die, same set of sentiment stamps...
I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Square dies for my frames, after layering each flower petal 3 times in white + the polka dotted paper for a total of 4 layers for each petal(lots but dots of glossy accents while watching tv, easy peasy!)  Oh, how I love to use up my leftovers...sigh...great fun:)!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Oopsie Daisy Birthday

I'm backkkk...oh, maybe you didn't even miss me:)!  I have missed being here!!  I finally finished my substitute teaching last Friday (school ends in two days here in Chesapeake, VA) and pulled out some Papertrey Ink dies that I have (ashamed to say) never used!!  What fun!!...
I eyeballed the positioning of these daisy dies, placed colored papers behind the die cuts, and then popped up between the card and the colored paper.  The sentiment is from Altenew (LOVE these sentiments!!).  Here's a close up...
