Kenny K Black and White Challenge and New Images

Kenny K released two new images and a new set of sentiments called "Social Media" and as usual they are awesome. I can't tell you how fast I scooped up the entire bundle. The new images along with their theme "Black and White"-- one of my favorite color combinations,  got my creative juices flowing and this is what I came up with.

This image is "Retro Selfie." I cropped it then colored it with Copic Markers. After fussy cutting it I attached to a Frantic Stamper Inc "Instant Camera 3 x 4 Photo card" die. The paper is form My Minds Eye. I rounded two opposite corners with a "Crop A Dile Corner Chomper." I replaced her retro camera with a one from the photo card set. The KK sentiment was cut with a stitched die from the Frantic Stamper Inc Elementals #1 set. Finally I added Tim Holtz "Film Strip Ribbon", bling and flowers from my stash.

Outlawz Challenge 11/15/2014

Happy Saturday and welcome to another Paper Ala Mode Challenge at the Outlawz.

My beautiful creation is below.

I started by coloring my image, Snowman Bird, with Copic Markers. Using DCWV white core paper, I used the snowflake embossing folder. I sanded the embossed paper to really bring out the snowflakes. I was an embossing fool! Not in a bad way but I went on to use Frantage with heat embossing and Ranger embossing glitter and finally wet embossed the sentiment as well. The sentiment is from Close to my heart. The single snowflake was punched with an ekSuccess punch and highlighted with teal colored bling. Finally I added some additional interest with Stickles.

Corrosive Challenge #212

It's time for another Corrosive Challenge--#212 to be exact. Our sponsor for this challenge is

Simply create something any girl would love, and you're good to go! The lucky winner will receive 3 Digis from our sponsor. There are SO many cute/sexy/fun images to choose from, it's not an easy choice.

The image I used is called "Hot Mess." I colored her with Copic markers. Next I chose papers from my stash and cut the stitched background and sentiment with Frantic Stamper Inc Elementals #1 die. Using glittered foam and additional papers I used my Cricut machine and Paper Dolls for Everyday cartridge and to cut the "campfire." I also used both Cuttlebug and Paper Studios embossing folders to add additional texture. Finally I used Tim Holtz "Vintage Photo" Distress ink to highlight the flame and campfire logs.

Happy Holidays (Again)

I used Rick's "Darci" digital image and colored her with Copic Markers. Using papers from my stash, I added die cuts from my absolutely favorite line of dies--Frantic Stamper Inc. The dies are Elementals #1 (09306), Petite Poinsettia (09284), Ivy Wreath (09282) and Happy Holidays (09293). Finally I added bling to highlight both the digi and the die cuts because after all, no card is complete without it!

Cheers - Update

The newest Frantic Stamper Inc dies are available and as always they are AH-MA-ZING! I sometimes use other company's dies but Frantic Stamper dies are my favorite. I always get perfect cuts and never have to use shims or Wax Paper. If you haven't tried them you, you are doing yourself a disservice! With that said...let's get on to my masculine inspired celebratory card.
Update: A few minutes ago I realized there was a piece of paper stuck to my "house dress." After closer examination I realized it was a die cut that was supposed to be on this card. Imagine my shock when I realized he never made it to the card before the photos were taken! What a bummer. 

Here's the card after the update. I like it much better and it has more of the masculine feel it should have had in the beginning!

 
It features Champagne glass and Cheers (FRA-Die-09326), the wine bottle from the Wine Bottle and Glass (FRA-Die-09063), Grapevine Border (FRA-Die-09278), Joseph (FRA-Die-09324) and Sunburst Card Panel (FRA-Die-09141). I like to leave some of the supposed cut outs intact. I think it adds yet another dimension of texture to the dies. I also like to remove some cut outs and replace with different colored cutouts as with the Grapevine Border. I think the gold foil paper really gives it the celebratory feel I was going for. This could easily be a birthday, promotion, an "atta boy" or any number of occasions. I hope you enjoy it and stay tuned for more fabulous Frantic Stamper Inc die inspired creations.
