SLOW SCARF READY!
The slow scarf is finally ready!
It took a while for me to 'master' my new loom,
but I found my way of having fun with it,
and this is the first result.
Fresh, cool colours, and because of the 24 shafts,
new motifs!
It has been delivered and approved.
Weaving scarves on demand also means meating nice people,
so I'm glad this scarf has found a good home... :-)

A TEXTILE WEEKEND IN WOLFSBURG AND BIELEFELD
KUNSTMUSEUM WOLFSBURG
KUNSTHALLE BIELEFELD
Jeffrey bought me a book a while ago,
it was the catalogue of the exhibition
When I noticed the exhibition was still running,
we decided to go and take along
Seeing the works of Anni Albers, Gunta Stölzl, Benita Koch-Otte, Sonia Delaunay,
Shiela Hicks, Lenore Tawney, Magdalena Abakanowicz and many more,
took me off the planet for hours.
What a joy to see these textile works in detail,
to be able to examine them, to be suprised by the size, big and small,
by their texture, colours and technique.
The weavings of Anni Albers and the Bauhaus will forever be burned in my mind
and I hope to see more of them in real life...
So if you have the chance,
just go!
Check the website for text and better pictures,
one wasn't allowed to take them,
but I couldn't help myself...

SLOW SCARF
It's going slower than before.
The reason is I'm enjoying weaving this one that much,
taking my time selecting new yarns and colours
and the right soundtrack on the background...
The colours of the pictures are not very good,
they're evening pictures, with the yellow light of my new pink lamp.
I'm getting used to my new loom,
the little computer is becoming a partner in crime...
