Angelmans 5K

My very best friend Christy from College has twin boys with Angelmans Syndrome. (You can read more about Angelmans HERE) After all the rain we had all week long, Saturday turned out to be beautiful and perfect just like her twins. It was so wonderful to support her and her family as they raised money to help find a cure for this disease. Christy is not only my friend but my HERO. She is always so easy going, upbeat and thinking of others and not herself. I don't think there was a dry eye in site watching those little guys cross the finish line. She truly has two little angels.

Mother's Day

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

 I waited a long time to be a mother so when this day rolls around I really eat it up! I was lucky enough to get to have MY mom here for Mother's Day. My parents came up on Wednesday and we spent the rest of the week together. I had a "Daddy to do list" the size of Texas for my dad to tackle (thanks pops!) then we shopped our buns off, went to my nephews b-day party, and then ended the week with a wonderful Mother's Day BBQ.

Whitney had a little Mother's Day program at her school.  I LOVED IT!  Why was I the only mom tearing up?  I loved the little songs they sang.  Her teacher is darling.  She really loves the kids.  All the moms got a cute little plant and a purse/card that told the moms why their child loves them so much.  Whitney apparently loves me because I let her watch her shows!  Ha Ha
