Happy Birthday Elle

Elle had her 7th birthday this month! I can't believe how big she's getting. It's so hard to believe I met her when she was 15 months old!! She's is growing into such a beautiful sweet young lady. We kept her birthday super low key this year due to the broken arm. We just had cousins over and she decorated her own cake. We all enjoyed watching the rocket go off in our front yard. Happy Birthday Elle, we sure love you!!!

I love my Garden

For Mother's Day this year Matt had 3 garden boxes built on the side of our yard for me. I put in tomatoes, zucchini, pumpkins and green beans. Next year I'm going to add even more. Here you can see the beginning of my tomatoes!!! I can't wait to can spaghetti sauce this year.

I actually took these pictures several weeks ago and I had no idea how big everything gets!! I will know better for next year to space things out a lot better

The 3 boxes on the side of our yard! I have enjoyed going out everyday to water and check on things. We just picked our first zucchini and I can't wait to make zucchini bread! Thanks sweetie for the best gift!!

Summer Family Tradition

One of our summer traditions is to dehydrate apples and make apple chips to snack on. It's been a fun thing we started when Elle was really young. My Dad used to make these for us so I thought I'd introduce the tradition to my own little family!

All you need: apples, apple slicer (or a knife), lemon juice and a dehydrator

Slice the apples~fairly thin and let them soak in lemon juice for a couple min. Usually I just spray the apples with lemon juice, but since I'm obsessed with lemons this pregnancy, I SOAKED them...YUMMY!
Arrange the apples like this on your dehydrator be sure to put a little Pam spray on your plastic layers. This prevents the apples from sticking to the plastic

for some fun flavor, my dad would always let us pick a flavor of jello and sprinkle a little powder on each slice. Elle picked peach this time! Let these dehydrate for about 12-14 hours and you'll have a delicious snack!

Thank you Grandpa S and Nana

We love our new dresses and we hope you feel better real soon!!!!!
This year we had one of our favorite 4Th of July's! We got to spend it with family that we don't get to see that often. Even though I really wasn't feeling good, I tried to go all out (if you know me and holiday's.....) So, I made some yummy red star rice crispy treats.
A yummy fruit pizza

The best home made lemonade I've ever had!!!!! I can't get enough of lemons this pregnancy...does anyone find that as odd as me??? I just discovered lemon curd...I don't know what the heck it is, but I've got to get some!!!!

We also had my dad's famous potato salad...YUMMY, veggie tray, chips,
lots of yummy desserts and Matt grilled up these delicious chicken and pineapple shish kabobs!! What a feast we had.

This is our cute little Whitney, she looked so cute in her 4Th of July get up!

We were lucky enough to have Elle this 4Th of July!

Look at all these cute little cousins!

I absolutely love it here in Herriman. Our neighbors had a HUGE family party and not only did they bring over a huge pot of corn on the cob, but we all got together and combined our fireworks for a spectacular show right in our culti sac!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY
