WHY DO I COLLECT?

Why do I collect? That's easy... because it's so much fun! Ever since I can remember I have been going to flea markets, antique shops, yard sales, you name it. Wherever I could find some sort of interesting treasure or cool piece of junk! I love driving around in search of new places or revisiting my favorite spots. I come from a family of collectors and have lived amongst antiques and collectibles my whole life. I have a passion for decorating especially with things that I find in my travels or even things found in the trash... which by the way can be some of the best stuff! But for those who share the same passion, I don't have to tell you... you all know what fun it is and how addicting it can be! Here I will share my collections, interesting finds, decorating tips, photos, projects, friends collections and thoughts and whatever else I may find along the way.

SUNDAY ANTIQUING in HAWLEY, PA


I love antiquing in Hawley and the surrounding area... 
The Hawley Antique Exchange is beautiful and has so much to see!


2 more favorite shops with lots of fun stuff... 
Miss Elly's (oops, spelled her name wrong above!)
 and a cute Antiques & Collectibles shop at 405 Keystone Street.


Barbara’s Books & Antiques offers lots of antique paper, 
books, postcards, photographs and prints. In addition, there's antiques 
and collectibles... glass, ceramics, pottery, and more. 
Located just 1 mile west of Hawley on Route 6.



Lisa's Not Just Antiques is also a great shop. 
It was my first time there. Lots to see! Located a bit outside of Hawley 
at 355 Beach Lake Hwy, Honesdale, PA



This place was GREAT!! The Old Sandhouse Antiques & Uniques. 
Also located outside of Hawley along Route 6 in White Mills... 


Just what I LOVE to see as I drive up... 
tons of stuff outside and then more inside!

Plus an old basement filled with all sorts of treasures. :-)

FUN VINTAGE SWIZZLE STICKS!





Fun, colorful and whimsical swizzle sticks... collected over the years... not really on purpose... just something you tend to save... or get from someone who's clearing out stuff! I've kind of just been stashing these within my vintage cocktail shaker collection and came across them recently. I didn't realize how many I had... this is only a few! :-)

I heart NY!



I love souvenir plates but only collect them from
New York, New Jersey and Florida! Don't ask me why! :-)
Well, I am a New Yorker... even though I now live in PA!

MORE FAVORITE PLACES


This place is great for architectural stuff! Old doors, fixtures,
hardware and more! Love it!!
Architectural Antiques in Bedminster, PA


Gristies in Kintnersville, PA is also one of my favorite spots.
It's a cool old mill and they have tons of good stuff. 


Another favorite spot is Antique Haven in Riegelsville, PA.
I love this place. It is a haven! :-) Beautiful displays, great vintage stuff,
furniture, jewelry, pottery, and more!
