And I am spent... (not to mention burnt!)

Thursday and Fri was interesting to say the least. Got a call back to play waterpolo for my team and just so happened that despite being morbidly obese, i actually surprised myself by doing decently well. If only I was told a month before hand about the games, man I would have trained and been so much fitter. Alas.. well still decent enough for the national captain to invite me to join their training even if I could only commit like 3 times a week. Regardless.. still going to take this as an opportunity to get back to my former fit self..

Sat morning, 9am -1pm.. I went, I played, I almost conquered... I got fried though.. Only myself to blame i guess. The 4 hours and Fri's game at 3pm really charred my skin till I look like a black man. That and the fact that i have never been one who likes using sunblock. Well at least i enjoyed myself and more importantly, my ankle injury that was holding me back from training did not hurt quite as much as I figured it would which is great news which means to say that I will be back on Monday night training. Hahaha those guys who laughed at me.. just you wait.. once i get my fitness I will be back to whoop you guys a can of whoop ass.. heehee well thats my weekend anyway.. The week ahead looks good so will see what lies in store.. heres a pic of my burnt self..

All in a day's work...

Gosh, tired out from a long day that started out at 8am,, Got up , went to church, lunch with family then had a massage client.. biked my new bike about 20 km and then dinner with the friends and ending the night with another massage for a good triathlete friend at 10.45pm! Finally ended my day at 11.50pm. On the bright side.. I managed to put the first client into a deep sleep after everything was done.. My own little litmus test on how effective I am as a masseuse.

Today is the first time taking my new bike out on the roads for a decent long ride.. To my brother's place at Bukit Panjang. Ok i guess its not like the furthest place but long enough for me to feel how unfit i am. Nevertheless, thoroughly enjoyed it and looking forward to more bike rides. Some thing quite calming about biking. Less the traffic on the roads which constantly terrifies me, I think i would enjoy individual bikes ride more than a group ride. Just me and a trusty mp3 player and i am good to go. Too bad Singapore isn't more like california, where there is lots of open space and you don't even have to worry about traffic. Humidity is perfect and endless beautiful scenery to view as you casually breeze pass. More pictures on the bike to come.

Ah but heres my current favorite picture thats used on my desktop wallpaper at the moment. Like Toby Keith says.. "I should have been a cowboy." which i totally agree. Something about the ruggedness and in the midst of solemn solitude that grabs me.. I could be that.. hahah anyone keen on a 2 weeks range stay and live as a cowboy in Wyoming.. let me know.. I am your guy..

YeeHaw!!

Getting started on my mini

Finally it has happened.. After months of much deliberation, I have succumbed to starting a blog and may all judgements be passed on me. The impetus was my resigning to the fact that I was a thorough bred Mac user and after 1 year of using my PC finally gave in and upgrade to my new Mac Mini and loving it I might add.

Armed with my mighty mouse.. this is my time to take back cyber space with vengence..

Figured since so many of my friends are abroad, probably be a good way for them to see some pictures and read a little bit more about my life than just a tiny email ever so often.. so heres to keep up this blog and just enjoying life..
Speaking of enjoying life.. recently found this new singer that is about to reach our shores... toured with Jason Mraz and Jack Johnson. Her surfer's lifestyle really speaks to me.. Tristan Prettyman... Listen out for her. This song is called Love Love Love and everytime I hear it, I get transported back to the 1 highway driving in my good friend's audi and looking out to the ocean.. One day.. I promise , I will be back.. for now.. enjoy this song with me..

Peace out
