"Oh, they say when you marry in June
You are a bride all of your life
And the groom that marries in June
Get's a sweetheart of a wife"
And a what a sweetheart she is!
We are delighted that this blushing bride is now
Brandon's wife and our very own 'daughter-in-love.'
June 9th was a perfect wedding day for Sarah and Brandon.
Clear skies, sunshine and so much love in the air
that it literally caused a bit of a breeze! Some mistakenly
thought it was just windy - but of course, we knew better.
Hey, wait! I'm getting ahead of myself. Let me back up.
The wedding events began with a luncheon before
the ceremony, held at this beautiful historic landmark.

On this very day, 100 years earlier, the Joseph Smith Memorial Building
first opened it's doors, then as Hotel Utah. Imagine how many weddings
have been celebrated here since June 9, 1911!

Sarah and Brandon were only too happy to add their own love story
to the 100 year history and granduer of this legendary building.

After the luncheon the darling bride and groom dashed,
hand in hand, across the street to this sacred historic landmark...
...after all, they had a date with eternity.
Inside the Salt Lake Temple, the sealing room was filled
to the brim with family and loved ones. Poppy officiated.
He shared wise (and grandfatherly) council with
Sarah and Brandon before marrying them for time and eternity.
As they exchanged vows, kneeling across the alter from one another,
Sarah stole everyone's heart with her sheer joy and
'bubbling over' happiness!
For me the ceremony was a sweet mixture of
-tender reflection
(where did that little boy go that knew everything
about dinosaurs and ninja turtles?)
-a grateful heart
(for son's that are priesthood men, a new daughter,
my own sweetheart, and a million other blessings)
-endearing laughter
(compliments of Sarah and Poppy)
and yes,
-a few tears
(filled with love and joy).
When the newlyweds walked out of the temple, officially Mr. and Mrs,
Brandon did a little happy dance he was so delighted...

The heartfelt congratulations offered by so many were
wonderful reminders of the eternal significance
of love, of family, and of friends.
