kenzi's personality really shows in these first three!

Can you believe how much kenz looks like Elli?!

Love at First Sight!

Our Handsom Addition!

This little guy gave us a run for our money! Not only did he not come until 39 wk 4 days but when he decided he was ready to come he did. Wen. we took the kids up to Rexburg for the Splash park again cause they really love going and they had worked really hard at cleaning up the house so we packed up for the afternoon and left. I had a TON of pain in my right leg and was having a hard time pushing on the gas and the brake but just thought it was cause I have had trouble this whole time figured he was just sitting wrong. I had a few contractions on the drive up and back and while we were there but nothing that was going to do anything and there have been a lot of them over the past month so was not trying to get excited about it. I mean I had gone to the Dr. a week and a half before and I was at a 1 and a week later went back after having helped job build a deck, pull old carpet out of an apartment which required 30+ trips up and down the stairs and walked the river and nothing had changed so I figured this child was just not coming and I was going to have to wait for my Dr. to get back from vacation and induce me. Well after we got back from Rexburg we went and got Shaved Ice no contractions really. Then Joe needed some help picking up some stuff for a Job so my awesome parents took the kids for an hour while we picked it up in the Van and ran it out to the Job, now I was having some contractions that hurt a little more still not really thinking anything of it but I had to let Joe drive cause it was getting a little harder with the leg pain. Came home and got the kids to bed or what I thought was to bed(they really fought me on falling asleep for some reason even after playing so hard at the park). Some time around 8 or 8:30 they started hurting a little bit more but still totally workable. This whole day I had really kept my mouth shut that these contractions were even doing anything cause I didn't want to be wrong and have them stop like they had in the weeks earlier. So joe just went to bed about 10 and I layed down fully intending these things to stop when I did. Well they didn't!! So I just layed watching the TV and the clock and thinking huh should I do something about this or just let him sleep...finally about 11:45 I woke Joe up and told him to shower(he had left really early for the job site and hadn't that day and I didn't want to smell him lol j/k) So he showered and about 12 :15 12:30 I texted my sister and asked if anyone was awake at the house and she sent over my mother cause she was leaving for Utah in the morning and needed to sleep, she told me to hurry up and push that baby out so she could see him before she left and I said I would do my best! My mom came and Joe and I left for the hospital after a few little instructions. There were several contractions that were about 3 min. apart on the way there and when we walked in they showed us to a room and asked me to change and a nurse would be in. Well it took a while for a nurse to finally come in the room and when she did she went to go through all her questions but could visably see I was in a a lot of pain so she decided to check and see where we were at as she was getting ready I informed her that in the past(and I stressed nothing had been the same this time so I could be wrong) but in the past once I had made it to a 6 I usually went to fully dialated in 10 min and delieverd within about 20 min. At this point it was somewhere around 1:30. Well as she is checking her eyes get a little big and she says"well you are at a 7 and have a bulging bag of water" In my head translation was HOLY CRAP YOUR HAVING A BABY REALLY SOON" They had put the call into the DR. on call (who was my previous Dr. so I was very excited that I didn't have to have someone new walk in to deliever) but they called him again and told him to hurry. Then asked if I had wanted an epidural "Sure Freakin do" and thankfully the guy was already right next door because someone else had already delivered right next door. He came in and was trying to do his thing and I think that hurt worse than the actual labor did he got it in and the test dose helped to ease some of the contraction pain the Dr. Broke my water and said there was some meconium in the fluid(it means the baby pooped before he came out) I of course started to panic cause I know how bad that can be, I really was freaked out and just praying this little boy would be okay cause we had waited so long to get him here...it was time to push which we did and the epidural was not working at all and I was stuck laying there trying to push out this child in panic mode and in extreme pain, then all I remember the Dr. saying is Alyssa you have got to push the babies heart rate has dropped you need to get him out now!! Joe was the one that was actaully delivering him and the Dr was just showing him what to do even though he has done it with all the girls as well. As his head came out the cord was around his neck and when they put him on my stomach I started stressing a little more because he was SO BLUE and he wasn't crying they told me it was okay they didn't want him to cry yet cause he would have sucked in the meconium and they would take care of it and all the sudden he was gone. They sucked him all out and had him sit on the oxygen for a little bit and then were able to wrap him up and bring him back. he was very bruised and still a little off colored but he was good. I felt like I could breath at that point and am so greatful for all the nurse and Dr. that came to help this little guy for his first few min. of life. I will finish this all later for my sake. Sorry it was so long.

Easter

With 4 kids there isn't ever the perfect picture but we had some fun with it and I think they looked pretty darn cute!

Happy 7 years!

Joe and I were able to go out to dinner Saturday night for our Anniversary which was really nice cause the place was empty and I had joined their rewards club so we got $8 in free appitizers and we cashed in one of our credit rewards so we had dinner completly free! We can tell we are getting old though cause after all the egg dyeing and egg hunts and other things we did that day we were pretty tired and didn't stay out to late.

Egg Hunt

Okay so see this massive sea of idiots...this is what happens when you have a whole bunch of parents who can't seem to follow directions...clearly they didn't announce in the right language that parents are NOT ALLOWED in the egg hunt with their children. Now i remember why I don't go to things like this! Thankfully none of my children were trampled by parents unlike some of the other children in the circle.
This was the kids anxiously waiting to go and this is what it should look like not a sea of parents.

Joey was in a different age group as the girls and thankfully my dad came to help with the different areas we had to be in.

Easter Eggs

You may notice that most of these pictures are pretty dark...well we dyed eggs at 5:30 in the morning so we didn't have a lot of light to work with. It was worth it that early though cause everyone was happy since they had just gotten out of bed. The egg kits we got this year were pretty cool also so that made it really fun, the eggs turned out really dark with one kit that i wish i had bought 10 of!
