Mission Impossible...

Okay, yes, I've been back for almost two weeks now... Pretty much settled down and gotten back on track with school stuff...rather Satisfied and coping well (for now)...

Yet... mom still nags at me every single day... For what?

Erm, a simple reason -- My study table...

From my point of view, I'm done with all my unpacking. But again, it really depends on the definition of 'unpacking'. Mine's simple --'unpacking' = emptying the luggage... and that I've achieved... erm.. it's just that, some of the stuff I removed from the luggages, were conveniently placed on my study table... and that, of course, led to mom's dissatisfaction, which in turn led to her nagging...

Well, judging from the above picture, I guess her nagging is justified... so, I believe, the time has come to do something about it... (sigh... it's not going to be easy...)

Wish me luck...

BEST BUY!

Bought this in US for USD39.99.. so, after taxes and conversion (rate 1.6), it costs about $68 (yes, singapore dollars)...

Yeah, I know it's nice... and now for the best part...

I saw the EXACT same thing in City chain, Wisma.. for...*drum rolls* -- $215!!!!!

wah, Damn song~

LOL... I cannot describe the satisfaction and pride I have in myself... The pride and satisfaction of securing such a great bargain... Feels good~ Can't help but give myself a pat on the back for making such a wise decision to buy the watch, and of course, sorta 'slapping' myself for not buying a few more....

Guess I ain't doing too badly as a 'converted shopaholic' - I must admit, I've potential..

keke...

5 Things I missed sooo much about Orlando...

Sigh, kinda fumbled upon a couple of my fellow WAT USA friends' blogs..and yes.. everyone is 'home-sick', after all, Orlando was what we all called home for 3 fantastic months... Everyone misses Orlando, seaworld and the states in general...Interestingly, nobody (as for now) seems to be glad to be back.. (at least I know I'm definitely not...)

Oh well, from the bottom of my heart: I fucking miss that place...

here's some stuff that I'm missing like crazy...

Number 1 goes to....

[Journey to Atlantis]... The very place I worked my ass off for the past 3 months...

*Sit upright, hold on tight*Posted by Picasa

Number 2 goes to...

Home cooked food... Kudos to the best cook in the world, my beloved Chunnie!, her little helper, Esther..and of course, the dishwasher, me.Posted by Picasa

Number 3 goes to...

ROLLER COASTERS!! I'm soooo in love with them... I'm definitely a 'plunge' person, the feeling when the roller coaster goes down is fantastic... Feels like I'm flying... sigh, with rides as cool as these... how am I supposed to settle for the pathetic rides in Downtown east... I wanna go back to the states!!!! I want more roller coasters!!!

[Shekra] at Busch Gardens...Posted by Picasa

Number 4 goes to...

Sigh, of course, Seaworld Orlando...Posted by Picasa

Number 5 goes to...

SHOPPING! I'm officially a converted shopaholic... Kinda busted 85% of my paychecks on shopping... can't believe myself! But still, retail therapy is definitely the best way to get rid of home-sick-ness and fatigue from work...Posted by Picasa

Home sweet home...

Survived the 18hours flight again miraculously.. (though interestingly, the return flight seemed to be faster than my trip there...) Feels kinda weird to be back home. Surprisingly, everything seems so familiar, as if I never left the place at all... Guess I'm pretty much back to my "Singaporean" life. Unpacking is going to kill, but somehow, I am too lazy to start... Mom's sooo gonna breathe down my neck when she returns, but, whatever~

LOL, I'm really missing the freedom and space I have in Orlando (especially after having Mom repeatedly asking me the same question 5 times over a span of 2hours... gosh... I already answered you!) Mom did comment that she's glad that we're back 'cause the house felt really empty and quiet when we're gone.. (ooooh... now she's going to regret that, when me and ah ping start pissing her off.. LOL) oh well, it does feel kinda nice to have someone hogging you and asking you ridiculous questions, though I'm pretty convinced that the 'nice-ness' of this feeling is NOT going to last, just give me a couple more days and I'll be back to the "pissed off state"...

Feeling a little demoralized so far.. it's nice to see familiar faces of friends and family, but it sucks when their first response goes: "Wow, you put on weight!"... Fuck it, I already know it, so please don't stick it up my face again... LOL, sadly, the only consoling response I got so far was from my cousin:" You didn't put on as much weight as I expected.." LOl.. thanks woman.. Well, guess it must have been the late night snacks and fastfood... Sigh, shall give myself a couple of months to shed the excess baggage... till then... yes, I'm fatter...(say whatever you want, but behind my back please...LOL)

Been quite an adventure for the past 3 months... though it ended on a relatively bad note.. My roomies and I kinda 'fell out' with the adminstration when they caught guys bunking in our hostel during a final spotcheck. The usually nice and friendly people (whom we used to adore) turned real nasty on us and threatened to either terminate us (wtf, we already ended work) or to confiscate our housing deposit (USD250). While trying to reason it out, they accused that we weren't sincere in apologising and stuff like that...although things turned out fine in the end, (we got our money back and they chose to close one eye...) , the confrontation was ugly and we all felt unjust and pissed off. At least we got our money back... but still, guess that's the end of our working relationship, and with the bad record, doubt they would wanna hire us back again next year... too bad then...=P

that's it for now.. looking forward for another adventure, but seriously, not within the next year.. Sigh, time to put on my student hat and get my ass back into honors class...(begining to hate school already...) Anyway, will upload my USA photos soon.. someday... till then...

Goodbye Orlando, hello NYC...

Finally arrived in the legendary city - New York.. Loving it so far. It's definitely a dramatic change (not sure if it's good or bad) from the good old Orlando. Everything's so overwhelming - skyscappers growing over us and extremely heavy traffic and relatively dirty streets...In contrast to the slow lazy Orlando with rather fresh air but god-dammit heat..Not too sure which I prefer for now... but we'll see...

Felt sad when we left Westgate today. Kinda fell in love with that apartment (although it was really really dirty...) Afterall, the little space was what we called home for 3months. As much as I begining to miss waking up early, getting ready for work and trying to catch the 8am I-ride, I'm proud to have survived everything and I guess it's time to move on.. Missing the Orlando routine already, but yet I'm looking forward to a change, or rather, recovering my life of a lazy student (not the exams and assignments part though).

That's it for now.. looking forward to touring Manhattan and visiting Empire state building blah blah and watching Phantom of the Opera! LOL... sigh, hope that we would be able to afford a couple more musicals before leaving (I wanna watch Lion King and Wicked so badly... but I need $$...T_T)

Oh well, anyway, another 4 more days to go before going back on the killer 18hour flight... it's time to have fun... (or so I hope..)
