I need to get busy and start the final finishing of these little beauties.  I have a box of stuff I need to finish and just don't seem to have the energy to start the process.  Maybe in the next couple of days I could start as it is suppose to get a little cooler over the next couple of days.

I did start a new stitching project on Sunday.   Prairie Schooler - January.  I am stitching it on 16CT French Vanilla from Sassy's Fabric.  I wish I could still get her fab ric, it is so nice to stitch on and the colors are wonderful.

Nothing much or exciting going on here.  It has been, hot, hot, hot the last couple of days. We are suppose to have some severe weather this afternoon and that will break the heat and humidity and for the next couple of days it will be in the low to mid 80s.It seems I have been spending much of my time reading.  Or should I say listening to audio books.  I have a connection to the local library and have been listening to Sue Grafton's ABC mysteries.  I am on the letter K, K is for Killer. They are fun to listen to but I think I need to get ear buds because I am driving Bob crazy listening to them all over the house.  I keep track of all the books I read on an Excel Spreadsheet.  So far this year I have read 25 books.  That is 10 books more than I read all last year.  To be fair last year I was reading the Outlander series and those books are 900+ pages each.

Off to do something constructive, like maybe making the bed and then I don't know what.

Finished stitching - LHN - Farmhouse Christmas - Grandma's Quilt

This reminds me of my Grandmother Adams.  She made beautiful quilts and she gave each one of her grandchildren a quilt for their wedding.  Unfortunately she died long before I got married but after she died I got first choice of the quilts she had made for the grandchildren that weren't married yet.  I was the oldest of that group.  I still have that quilt on the bed in our guest bedroom.  It is getting very fragile and if I have house guests I take that quilt off the bed and put it somewhere safe.  It has chocolate and coffee stains on it from a friend who likes to eat and drink while in bed and some of the blocks are dry rotting.  I got this quilt when I was 21 or so which makes it at least 50 years old.  I have no idea how long it had been in Gram's cedar chest.  It is a wedding ring design and trimmed in blue with a blue backing.

I hope everyone had a good 4th of July.  We didn't do much.  We had Shirley over for dinner and had Tandoori Chicken, Tortellini Tomato Salad, Broccoli Salad and Shirley brought Vanilla and Chocolate ice cream for dessert.

We got or flight information from Go Ahead Tours yesterday, well verbally.  They are going to send an e-mail with the information but we haven't received that yet.  We also got the extension to Provence all taken care of except we have to purchase the train ticket from Lyon to Aix en Provence.
