Purple Dataram |
We have a white Matura plant in the same pot as this purple one and as of today it has about 12 buds. Luckily they won't all come out at the same time but we have never had a Datura this big or with so many buts. We had a disaster over the weekend. We plant pots of Gerber Daisies and put one on either side of the bench at the end of our patio. They were absolutely last week and over the weekend the deer ate every flower off of both pots. The dam dear. There is plenty to eat they don't have to eat our flowers. They reached right over the marigolds, which the won't eat, and ate the Gerber Daisies.
My sister has decided to sell her house and move into an over 55 community. I have been helping her go through stuff start packing things like her holiday decorations. I had to laugh on Friday when we went through her Christmas decorations and she ended up with 5 boxes she can't part with.
I started stitching The Map of New York by Sue Hillis the other night. I also finished the June Doodle from Blueladie Designs from her monthly newsletter. I finished the stitching and have started the final finishing. Unfortunately I need a certain blue sewing thread so I will have to take a run to JoAnn's in the next couple of days. This is a new finishing technique I am trying so I won't take a picture until I see how it turns out. I want to finish it so I can then take my sewing machine in for its yearly service before I start finishing the Christmas ornaments.
