Lizzie Kate - Unwrap the Joy

I can't believe I have finished 2 counted cross stitch projects this week.  I am on a roll.  LOL

Designer:  Lizzie Kate
Project:  Unwrap the Joy - 2012 Santa
Fabric: 15CT Marbled Aida
Floss: Over dyed call for in chart
Started:  07/23/2015
Completed:  08/18/2015
I think I am going to get it framed
and keep it for myself

I am going to start CCN - Paris Afternoon today or tomorrow.  I plan on sending it to Jill Rensel for framing once it is stitched.  I really want to have her frame something for me and I think this will be the perfect piece.

The Prairie Schooler - 1985 Santa

I finished this little design last night.  I have decided that I am going to stitch several of them and finish them as little pillows and display them in a basket at Christmas time.  I have several of these designs and I think I would like to get several more before they are all gone by the end of the year when The Prairie Schooler will be no more.

Designer:  The Prairie Schooler
Project:  1985 Schooler Santa
Fabric:  16CT Lambswool Aida
Floss:  DMC
Started:  7/30/2015
Completed: 8/17/2015
Stitched for me.
Now do I want to finish this into a pillow myself or send it off to The Carolina Stitcher to finish for me.  I would like these to all look really nice so maybe I need to send them to Faye to finish for me.

I started the 1987 Santa last night.  Where do I get these crazy ideas from?

I finished the 4th t-shirt last night

Last night I finished stitching the kite on the final t-shirt that I am giving to CJ, Jean, Shirley and myself when we go to OC, NJ in September.  I hope they like them.  I can't believe I stitched 2 of them the same since there were 4 designs.  I just got a little confused.

Can't wait to go to Ocean City as it has been a long time since I was at the shore and even longer since I was in OC.  I already warned my sister that I probably wouldn't be doing much walking on the boardwalk as I imagine it won't be good for my ankle.  It will be nice to just sit by the pool and read a book or maybe do some stitching.  I will take a small project with me just in case I have some time to stitch.

Kite Cupcake Toppers stitched on T-Shirts

I have completed 3 of the 4 t-shirts I want to stitch.  These are for my sister and her friend, my niece and me for when we go to Ocean City, NJ in September.  I think they turned out pretty cute.  I hope they like them.  Don't ask me why I stitched 2 with the same design.  Maybe 'cause I am a little crazy.  I really wanted to have 4 different kites.  Oh well it is what it is.

I hope to finish the 4th one in the next couple of days but frankly I haven't started it yet.  I takes me about 4-6 hours to stitch one.  The stripped kite was a pain in the butt to stitch.

Kite Cupcake Toppers made into ornaments for my ornament tree

This isn't a very good picture but it is the best I could do.

These kites are from the August 2015 Just Cross Stitch Magazine.  They are suppose to be cupcake toppers but I made them into ornaments for my ornament tree.  There are 4 designs but I only stitched 2 for my tree.
I am now stitching them on t-shirts and will give the t-shirts to my sister, niece and a friend of my sisters when we go to Ocean City, NJ in September.  I hope we will be able to go.  I just got a call from my sister that her husband has cancer in his hip and is walking with a crutch.  He has had a series of radiation treatments and will now undergo chemo.  From what she said he is in a lot of pain and is very frustrated.
