Update

I had a wonderful weekend.  My sisters and my friend, Sue, and I went to Lancaster this past weekend.  The weather was perfect and we had a wonderful time together.  We were suppose to be doing Christmas shopping but I didn't get any Christmas shopping done.  I did buy a new pair of sneakers.  Saturday night we went to Sight and Sound and saw Joseph.  I thought it was really good.  Shirley didn't care for it but the rest of us enjoyed it.

My friend Sue will be with me until next Tuesday.  I have taken this coming Friday, Monday and Tuesday off.  Friday Sue and I are going to spend the day together and go out for dinner.  Monday I have an appointment with SS to apply for my benefits and then Monday afternoon and Tuesday I want to start making Shirley's stitched ornaments into ornaments.  I really need to get these done.  November 21, her birthday, will be here before you know it.

I am stitching diligently on Lizzie Kate Christmas Spirit.  I am on block 5.  I will have to post a picture but it probably won't be until next week.  I don't have much time for the computer with Sue here and with the Phillies in the playoffs.  But watching the Phillies gives me the opportunity to stitch more as I love to stitch and watch either baseball or football.

Until next time.

As of tomorrow

It is 69 days until I retire and if I counted right there are 44 work days.  Of course that 44 can be cut down by 6 if I take my vacation days I am owed.  I am trying to save some of them so they have to pay me for them.

Sue comes tomorrow and then this weekend my 2 sisters, Sue and I go to Lancaster for our yearly shopping weekend.  We are going to see Joseph at Sight and Sound.  Several people who have seen it says it is excellent.

I have had larangitis for the last couple of days.  Except for being tired from coughing and having a sore throat I don't feel bad.

I finished stitching Happy Autum by SanMan Original on Monday morning. I am planing on making it into a no-sew cube. I have also croched 2 dishcloths the last couple of mornings.  I need to pick a new morning project to start.

I have taken October 22, 25 and 26 off as vacation days.  I will get to spend a day next Friday with Sue before she goes home.  Then on the 25th I have an appointment with SS to apply for benefits.  I took the 26th just becasue I wanted a day for me.  I plan on working on finishing the ornaments I stitched for my sister.  I need to get them done before her birthday on November 21.

Till next time.

Oh God I don't ever want to go back to work again

I had a terrible Thursday and Friday.  Thursday afternoon my one boss has a meeting with a bank representative trying to get him to change banks.  Tom asked me a question regarding the service charges of our current bank about whether they had increased since the merger.  Well they haven't, as a matter of fact they have decreased.  He then asked me what the service charge was for and of course I don't know.  I told him that and that the service charge has been there ever since I started.  He said real sarcastically "Well don't you think you should find out" and then said to the rep from the bank that he didn't believe there had been a service charge on our account when I 1st started.  He called me a liar in front of a stranger.  I wish I had asked him when the last time he looked at the bank statement was.  He has never looked at it in the 11 years I have been there.

Then Friday I did the monthly invoicing.  What a miserable chore.  I printed out all the invoices, gave them to Tom to check over and then went to the bank.  I came back from the bank and the invoices were on my chair.  I folded them, keeping a copy for our records, put them in envelopes, sealed and stamped the envelopes.  Then the next step is to transfer the invoices from the system we use to generate them to the accounting program we use.  I did that.  About 2 hours later Tom comes up to me and said you haven't transferred the invoices yet have you as I have a couple I haven't approved.  Yes I transferred them.  He was furious.  He took a piece of paper and crumbled it in his hand and threw it in the trash can.  I am sure he wanted it to be my head not a piece of paper.  He then stomps back to his office.  A few minutes later he comes storming out with an invoice in his hand screaming you will have to issue a credit memo for this as it is wrong.  The invoice was one I had generated directly from the accounting program.  All I had to do was go in and change it.  So I pointed that out to Tom.  He then sticks his nose right in my face and screams "New rule, don't ever transfer invoices until I tell you to."  I was so upset, I left work at 4:00 and cried all the way home.  Got home and walked into my office where Bob was on the computer and he told me he was to busy reading his airplane sites to listen me me.  Maybe I could tell him later when he got off the computer.  I only have 74 more days to go.  I think it is going to be a tough 74 days.  I sit here crying just thinking about going to work tomorrow.  I have an appointment with SS on October 25 so that is something to look forward to.
