Also, I took part in some Chinese story writing competition in Singapore and the results finally came out. I got second prize for the adult category YAYYYYYYYY. Time to celebrate with Ben&Jerry's

Translation

I've reached this stage of translation also known as 'I'm so fking tired because I spent the whole night on it and am still spending the rest of the 5 am morning on it', until I'm sort of mindlessly typing instead of actually thinking of what to type for my translation. It's as though my brain just stopped functioning and words just come out naturally. I must have reached the 'work through intuition' phase of late night work rush. But yessss 6 more pages and I would be doneeeee. Then I must take a few days to recharge. Fuck la still got finals to mug and one week is almost coming to an end.

Easter break and translation

My school term has ended and Easter break has started, which means there would be one month without lessons. While many people have gone travelling in other countries and such, I continued to stay in London, because I need to finish my translation work, and because my final exams start immediately after the break.
For those who were unaware, I took up a translation work from Singapore, where they throw me this 20k+ word language research paper and I'm supposed to translate it from Chinese to English. I have been slacking with the work, partly because I have tests and stuff in between, partly because I'm slacking :D But now that the deadline is approaching (like very very soon aka 2 days), I have been camping at the library and chionging the translation. I felt that if I really did camp at the library from morning till night I would probably have finished it in like 3 days or something. Just that in the day time I'm sleeping (lol) and I would slack all the way till night before deciding I should really start doing the work, so that's why my progress is still not optimal. I have done 32/44 pages already, well technically 32/42 because there are 2 pages of reference which I don't need to translate. But it felt as though it's being stagnating for quite some time already. Like yesterday I rushed around 8 pages and today I only did 5? So it felt like I was translating anything lol. I have resorted to starting from the back of the research paper instead so that I can feel better about it..
ANYWAYS TIME TO SLEEP I SHALL CONTINUE WITH THE REST TMR.

Sense of spring

It was today that I first felt spring coming to London. The thing about London life is that things are greyish and so you don't seem to sense the passing of a season and the coming of another. Until you see the flowers. It seems like flowers, unlike humans, would always be there at the right time, informing people of a new age. As today's morning was exceptionally good, I went around to take some photos for spring collection haha.

I realised when you play dota, the biggest take away is never rely on your team mates. Because the more expectations you have of them, the more disappointed you would be.

I have unlocked a new level of forever alone after I forgot the date for Valentine's Day HAHAHAHA.
Anyways happy cny to everyone out there!
I dunno how many lectures I've ponned already la, but I'm definitely not losing out on my work so that's a good thing. I shall start reading deeper stuff from now on.
This week I walked into a wrong lecture, which I think is a year 2 lecture on cell biology. Then I'm surprised I actually understand some of the stuff inside :O Means I can start further reading already.

Anyways, recently being trying to write story to take part in some story-writing competition. (It's all for the money)
This is the second week of school, stuff are coming. Like, they told us all the deadlines and stuff so it feels like a lot of work are impending.
And now I feel very high because of the mangas I've been reading. Which means tmr I shall hit an emotional low because manga life is theoretical.
Actually one of the mangas reminds me of my series of events back in Singapore ._.

NOTHING HAS HAPPENED LALALALALALA

Number of ponned lectures: 20 and probably counting.
I realised I would be flying back in 1 week + time :DDDDD
Didn't feel as though 3 months has passed really. Then again I was sleeping more than half the time here.
Looking forward to going back already. I have a lot of things in mind that I want to do when I get back. It feels like even after 3 months London still did not give me the home feeling, which is probably why I so dreamy nowadays.

As of now I have ponned 17 lectures. 3 more to mini-celebration number 2. Esther has been calling me a delinquent ever since I ponned my 2nd lecture LOL. My test is tomorrow afternoon and I'm studying for it now. It's one of those super rare occasions when I study for a test the day before (and probably on the morning of the test as well). If this happened back in high school or JC I would surely have died for the test.
Oh and apparently today was Thanksgiving. I only realise because the hall food was doing some Thanksgiving special thing, which meant there's turkey and some special salad. Ahhh I should have taken more of the salad :/ But other than that I don't see people really celebrating Thanksgiving here. Maybe it is more widely celebrated in US? Now is more like everyone is preparing for Christmas, as many of the buildings are starting to put up Christmas decorations already.
Other than that, the days are getting shorter. Like the 4 pm here is similar in brightness to the 7 pm in Singapore, so by 4 pm you don't feel like going out anymore. And if you were outside you feel like going back already. So I suppose the shorter daytime do affect people's life somewhat.
