Steve Caires of Engrish.com sent me this today:

From Hector Garcia's A Geek in Japan:
"At first glance, it seems like a kid with a supercool sweater with a Japanese character. The problem is that the character η means “hemorrhoid” in Japanese. Probably the designer confused the character δΎ, which means “samurai” and is pronounced “ji”, with the character η that means “hemorrhoid” and is also pronounced “ji”… Both characters are graphically very similar but the meaning is totally different!"

shorthorn's finest
2 of 2
one of two
twice the fun
Melbourne...Photography skills
nice scene just outside where we posted...sunset...
On our way to watch the Melbourne Storms play the Penrith Panthers...nice shot of the city
Me working on my photography skills...
Selfmade & Lion piece
another of our kind clients in Melbourne came through for a hair cut and a self defining saying inked on his forearm...my most keen client Allen started his journey with a Lion on his forearm...
Grillz...forearm band
Some freehand stuff
One of the boys (Grillz) who works for our host was my first client over in Melbourne...came through for a Polynseian armband...and another client came through for his daughters' names...
Barbers
We're not called Quality Barbers for some random reasons, with each cut, our barbers strive to live up to that name....here's one of our barbers' tape up work...
German Connection...
In the late 19th to early 20th century, alot of European businessmen migrated to the Pacific in search of a more exotic lifestyle and later on settled and mixed with the local people...my client here is a Tongan/German and the Wolfgramms were succcesful business people in Tonga...
