You never know how rich can the rich actually go until you see this.

And the thing to wow about - this is in Singapore!
Sentosa Cover specifically. The house belongs to an American (i think) expat (or is it PR) who had his house designed according to his want to embrace nature.

Another example of his devotion to Mother Nature. A TV room 'under the sea'. Not literally the sea, it is a pool by the way.

I just need to bitch.
For all mothers of sons, or mothers-to-be who are expecting sons, pls understand that when your son grows up to have a family of his own, he is no longer just YOUR SON.
He is also somebody else's HUSBAND, somebody else's FATHER, and possibly somebody else's grandpa as well.
So.
1. Pls stop fussing over him like he is a kid, or a king (because he would go back to his family and expected to be treated like one)
2. Pls remind him to dine with his family more frequently, particularly on occasions when he dines over at your place for more than 3 times a week (instead of always ringing him up to go over for meals). Blk 122 Bedok Reservoir Rd is NOT a hotel where your son comes back at night only to bathe and sleep. Neither are his wife and daughters the hotel attendees at his beck and call.
3. Pls stop expecting that we should always have meals together as one big family, with all the cousins, aunties and uncles. We need to have some private time of our own. The two terms - 'nuclear family' and 'extended family' exist for a reason.
Don't give me that nonsense that for mothers, "children will always remain as children and never grow up". Because if you are extending that expectation to his nuclear family, then don't you let him get married.
Fuming. Seriously.

Been eons since I last blogged. The excuse, as always, is
procrastination.
The piece of news that has been on my mind for the past month, is 'the bf is COMING BACK'! In.. erh.. 2 MONTHS & 8 DAYS!
*all excited*

艾斯最终还是没被Luffy救到。死了。想说如果连在虚构的漫画世界里,主角们都不能幸福的话,那这世界未免太残酷了。

It scares me quite a bit to hear that my colleagues, the bunch of them who joke, tease and play ard with each other, are setting down to family life. One colleague is getting married end of this year, another pregnant, and one recently announced that she has applied for a flat and is getting engaged end of the year.
Stunned.
The BF went on a 10-days East/Central Europe trip. Awesome scenery!

Entertaining is a tiring affair.
Had to host a bunch of Thai officials for the past week. Have never made that much small talk in the 23 odd years of my life but I did it all in a week. Had to multi-task as a tour guide as well. Exhuasted all the knowledge I had abt Singapore history and politics. It was fun challenging myself but no fun not being myself.
Back to random affairs. I was telling God that day that I needed more things to occupy myself with and the next thing I knew it, my tuition kid's neighbour called to ask if I could tutor her kid. Blaaah.. I wouldn't mind so if not for the committment that I could possibly land myself into (since her kid was only in sec 1).
The BF has confirmed that he would only be coming back in Dec. I am supposed to visit him in Jun/Jul period but we can't seem to match our schedule. Managing a long-distance relationship has gotta be the greatest test of my patience in life thus far.
Had some problems with home affairs. Was at a point of time, desperately looking for someone to turn to only to realise I couldn't find any. Successfully calmed myself down and chased Desperation away after watching some TV.
