Been such a long time since I blogged...it's been exactly 11 months! A lot of things I wanted to say but I wanted to talk about this one thing before I go to work.

 Was buying new running shoes (should have taken a photo!) and I was suddenly reminded of my younger days.

 Back in primary school, running was actually one of my talents. I was always one of the fastest if not the fastest in class and was picked to be an athlete to represent my school, Ai Tong Primary in the Hokkien Huay Kuan 5-schools combined sports meet.

 My family was not very rich. But despite that, my dad brought me to Orchard a few times to get running shoes for me. The shoes cost 100+, close to 200. If you add inflation and everything, I guess this would cost 200 plus, maybe 300 plus in today's term. Yet he did not hesitate to get it for me. He did all this despite having a salary of around 2500 then (have not minus off CPF).

 The last few years, Dad and I have not really been on very good terms due to certain issues at home. But thinking back on all this....we may not agree on some things but I also can't forget all that he has done for me.

Thanks for everything you have done for me, Dad. Hoping to make it back to you from now on.
