Buying the book in Oslo.

If you're looking to buy the book in Oslo, Ark at Egertorget (map) is the place to go. They ordered a whole bunch for the launch party and should have plenty available for you. :-)

Last Friday we had a second book launch for the second edition of the book, which means the book is now officially released! (Though it doesn't yet say so on Amazon for some reason.)

A nice little crowd showed up for the book launch and seemed to be enjoying themselves. One of the designers (me) held a little introduction speech and told about the story behind the book. Afterwards people could get their books numbered and signed and talk about typography over alphabet crackers and soda.

Book launch!

The book will be out very soon and the second edition of the book of course requires a second book launch! This time the Norwegian book store chain Ark is hosting the event in the art department of their shop at Egertorget in Oslo. It will be happening on the Friday of November 12th from 4 to 7 PM and like last time the first 99 copies will be numbered and we will be serving soda and alphabet crackers :)

The book store has made a Facebook event which can be found here (unfortunately it's in Norwegian).

The second edition of the book will be out soon, but you can already pre-order yourself a copy from Amazon.com!

Finally!

It took a while, but we can hereby happily/proudly/gratefully announce that we recently closed a deal with our favorite publisher – Gestalten. This implies that there will be a reprint and that (unlike the 1st edition) the book will be available worldwide. When EXACTLY this reprint will be released is not decided yet, but we can already assure you that it will happen somewhere during this autumn. Of course we will update you as soon as we know more.

Hyperactivitypography on tour

During our trip to South Korea we visited two universities. First stop was Seoul Women’s University in Seoul.

As you can see, the Koreans sure knows how to make us feel welcomed.

At the university we held a lecture about our book.

Assignments from the book were sent to the design students on beforehand, which resultet in a beautiful exhibition at the campus gallery.

Later we visited Yeungnam University in Daegu.

Printing.

We went to the printing house a little while ago to check that everything was going according to plan with the printing of the book. It was unreal to finally see the book in print after so many months of working on the project.

Book launch/exhibition.

The book was launched yesterday in Zoot's design gallery and people lined up in the rain to be the ones to get tickets for the 99 numbered copies of the book. The walls were filled with activities from the book and pencils so people could have fun solving the various activities. The snack of the evening was of course alphabet crackers :)
