365 Days of Thanks - Day 366 (Leap Year...remember?)
Thankful for the new year to come after midnight tonight, on New Year's Eve. A new year brings all kinds of freshness, beginnings, and new found determination. I am thankful for the blessings of 2012 and cannot wait to see what the Lord does in our life in 2013. I'm thankful that He already has a plan and for the things I do not even know about yet. Thankfulness makes you feel full inside. Full of blessings and love...and those are two things I intend to dwell in deeply in the new year and share with others. And, that's a thankfulness wrap!
365 Days of Thanks - Day 359, 360, 361, 362, 363, 364, and 365
Day 359 -
Thankful for Christmas Eve traditions. The way we do things on Christmas Eve have been around for as long as I can remember. These are the things that make our family get togethers so memorable and special. I'm thankful for the gathering of my family on this day...and on Christmas day too. The traditions and laughs are what make it so much fun to look forward to each year. Thankful these ideals have stayed with my family for so long and to be able to share them with my family in the future.
Day 360 -
Thankful for Christmas. Thankful for the birth of our Savior. Thankful for the ultimate gift from God. What a beautiful day and a beautiful story. A baby sent to save us all. A king born in the simplest of ways. Thank you, Lord, for your son. Thank you for the reminder every year on this day of your unconditional love for us. Truly, the most wonderful time of the year.
Day 361 -
Thankful for snow days. We got a big surprise this year with a white Christmas. So, what better to do when there is snow outside on a cold day? Clean, organize the new gifts, and snuggle with the husband while listening to his new worship cd! Bliss.
Day 362 -
Thankful for nurses! With Daddy's recent knee replacement surgery, Mom (and all of us) have been chipping in on chores we've never done before. Daddy has had to have someone take care of him! Man, there are just special people that choose to work while taking care of others and in some really yucky ways too. Thankful for these doctors and nurses who don't mind doing these jobs and caring for everyone they come in contact with.
Day 363 -
Thankful for a new addition to our family. Steve and I got a kitten! She's precious and seems to be a fabulous fit for our little family. I was so excited to save this baby. I hope she loves our home and becomes a true member of our family. Thankful for how animals and pets can give so much to their owners.
Day 364 -
Thankful for a great Christmas with Steve's family. We were blessed to not have to split our time this year for the holidays, so we got a full Christmas at each family's house. It's been a long time since we were all at the Libick's house for an extended period of time. Everyone was full of laughs and good times, so it was a great memory made. Thankful we had the chance to do this and that we got full time with both families this year.
Day 365 -
Thankful for this journey of thankfulness during 2012. There were days when I didn't think I had much to be thankful for, but the Lord blessed me with seeing the good in each and every day this year. It taught me to dig deep, look for the simplest of blessings, and that my life is good. I learned to find positive things in bad situations. I learned to be thankful for things that didn't even happen to me. I'm thankful and proud that I stuck with this commitment. I know I will be able to look back on this and feel the blessings of the Lord...some I may not even know yet. I know that God gave me this opportunity to bring me closer to Him and see His hand in every aspect of my life and those I know. Thank you, Lord, for helping me be thankful.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 352, 353, 354, 355, 356, 357, and 358
Day 352 -
Thankful for the resiliency of children. Thankful for their innocence. I was so blessed today that none of my students asked or mentioned last Friday's school tragedy in Conneticut. I love how they can press forward without fear.
Day 353 -
Thankful for Evan passing his test and becoming a registered EMT! Goooooooo, baby brother! His hard work paid off, and the Lord has walked him through every step of this! Bring on paramedic school!
Day 354 -
Thankful for good work news for Steve's parents. My father in law is still employed, and my mother in law is changing her work and work schedule. It is such a blessing of provision, stability, and positive changes for them and the family. Definitely an answered prayer.
Day 355 -
Thankful for two successful knee replacement surgeries for my dad. Both of his surgeries went smoothly, he is recovering as best he can, and I know God has His mighty hand on him for the pain and recovery process. I'm thankful things have gone so great so far and thankful for the opportunity he has to live a long, healthy life.
Day 356 -
Thankful for Christmas break! Made it through the first semester! Half way done. Bring on the much needed break!
Day 357 -
Thankful for sleeping in this morning! I never sleep late and have lazy mornings, but it sure was nice and much needed today. Thank you, Lord, for the chance to rest!
Day 358 -
Thankful for the Christmas sermon at church this morning. Thankful for the words and reminders of Jesus being the reason for the season.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 351
Thankful for the prayers of others. I've asked several people to pray for my family and different reasons for support for the next couple of days. Thankful that when I ask people to pray - they do. Thankful that God has given us brothers and sisters in Him to support and lift each other up.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 341, 342, 343, 344, 345, 346, 347, 348, 349, and 350
Day 341 -
Thankful for the basic daily things and blessings I have. During this season, we hear so many stories of families hurting from loss, devestation, or hard times. So many ways to give during this time, so many ways to help out. I praise God that I, nor my friends and family, are in any of those situations right now. He has blessed us so richly. Even the most remote things I use or take for granted everyday, I'm reminded many don't have this time of year. Lord, thank you for taking care of us.
Day 342 -
Thankful for how my grandparents are giving us so much to be able to continue to make our house a home. Definitely thankful for free furniture and house necessities!
Day 343 -
Thankful for Christmas movies. These are some of my favorite movies ever. They bring such happiness, memories from my childhood, and Christmas spirit to any moment. I love the messages, the chances to believe in magic, and celebrating the birth of our Savior.
Day 344 -
Thankful for brother/sister Christmas shopping traditions continuing! It's always a fun time when Steve, Sherri, Evan, and I go out to finish last minute Christmas shopping. I'm so thankful that we all get along, as we're connected in so many ways. I am beyond grateful for our closeness as the "Quad Squad!"
Day 345 -
Thankful for a dinner at my grandparents' new home with the family. Just like old times when they lived here before. :) Thankful to let Steve experience a part of my childhood.
Day 346 -
Thankful for an evening of warm food, Christmas movies, and wrapping presents with my husband. Just the enjoyment of togetherness makes me feel so blessed.
Day 347 -
Thankful for Christmas cards. Another one of my favorite things about this time of year. It's so nice to receive a little holiday joy in the mailbox during this time. Everyone sharing their families, smiles, and holiday cheer. I know getting a Christmas cad always makes me smile, and I hope the ones we send spread the joy too.
Day 348 -
Thankful for my students' great Christmas program tonight. They did such a great job. Thankful to be able to support my students in their endeavors and that my family and friends support my students too. They are so cute!
Day 349 -
Thankful that God has chosen me to be a teacher. Thankful for the gift of children - their innocence, their joy, their worries that I can make better. Thankful for the compassion God has given me for my students. Thankful for the gift of each of them and teaching them each day. Lord, bless our children. Keep them from harm. They are precious in your sight.
Day 350 -
Thankful for haircuts. So fresh, so new. Just a nice way to relax and take pride in your looks without being materialistic. Thankful that I liked the new girl who did my hair too. :)

365 Days of Thanks - Day 338, 339, and 340
Day 338 -
Thankful for Christmas music. This music is some of my most favorite. The happiness that comes with Christmas music can carry you thru any mood or situation. Then, there are the Christmas songs that sing of the birth of our Savior and the true meaning on the Christmas season. It's one big birthday party for Christians! I truly believe that those Christmas songs are some of the most beautiful prasie songs ever written and sang. I long for the time every year when the Christmas songs come back on the radio, and it's one of the parts I'm saddest about going away when the holidays are over. Christmas music pretty much makes everything better. :)
Day 339 -
Thankful for a principal who supports his teachers. There is nothing better than support from your administration, office staff, and counselor. It definitely empowers teachers. When a principal has your back and will tell that to any other teacher or parent, it makes every situation a little easier.
Day 340 -
Thankful that my husband got off the couch after working all day and went to the store to get me medicine for my super chapped lips...all at 7:15 at night.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 331, 332, 333, 334, 335, 336, and 337
Day 331 -
Thankful for Steve's and my aunts, uncles, and cousins. These are very important members of our family. They are each a part of so many laughs, memories, and playful times. Aunts and uncles give you support and are role models, unlike parents...and also give you built in playmates. I know we both love our's and each other's aunts, uncles, and cousins very much. Thankful for all they teach us and our close relationships with each.
Day 332 -
Thankful that my students loved and are loving their unwrap a Christmas book a day activity we are doing at school. I love the power a book can bring to a kid.
Day 333 -
Thankful for chances to, unexpectedly, make my husband happpy.
Day 334 -
Thankful for tv with DVR. So lucky that if we have something going on or can't watch a show, we can simply record it to watch whenever we can. Our DVR is a great "go to" on nights Steve's not home or when they're is nothing worth watching on live tv. Seems so frivilous, but why not be thankful for even the simplest forms of luxury that we have?
Day 335 -
Thankful for an amazing week and a step in the right direction for a special student of mine. I know she needs me, and I hope I'm there for her until the end.
Day 336 -
Thankful for my amazing mother-in-law. December 1st was her birthday. She is a great mother to my husband, and a great second mother to me. She has a loving heart, loves to give, and is more talented than she gives herself credit for. Her wise ways, specific skills and methods, and love for her family are all things I admire about her. I know how great she is because of how much Steve loves her. So thankful, for many reasons, for her presence in our life.
Day 337 -
Thankful for a successful (and hilarious) Christmas shopping outing with my sister!

365 Days of Thanks - Day 326, 327, 328, 329, and 330
Day 326 -
Thankful for my love and ability to read. I have always loved reading (and been quite good at it). From childhood to adulthood, I have always felt complete or chosen to pass the time with a book in my hand. I'm thankful for this, as I have visited many places, experienced new things, and met many characters through the stories I've read through. It's given me great educational skills and vocabulary too. I'm just thankful to have this ability, to share this with my students (and my own kids one day), and to know the mark of a good book (or movie) when I see it.
Day 327 -
Thankful for Thanksgiving. What a day to focus on how truly blessed I am. What a great holiday to have to allow everyone to stop and give thanks for all the Lord has done, no matter the situation or circumstances. I'm thankful for a day to spend with friends and family, laugh and eat great food, and kick off the holiday season. Thankful for a day to do nothing but give thanks. Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
Day 328 -
Thankful for my Christmas tree. Nothing makes me happier this time of year than to turn on my Christmas tree lights (or anyone's for that matter) and reflect on the person or event each ornament represents as I decorate the tree. It adds so much spirit and happiness to the house during the Christmas season. I absolutely love my Christmas tree. Thankful for my beautiful tree and the symbolism the Lord gives it.
Day 329 -
Thankful for a week off with Steve. So glad that we still have similiar "school" schedules, as he still instructs. So nice to have him home with me while I was off work this week. What precious time we had together. Nothing better.
Day 330 -
Thankful for meeting my great-grandparents. Over the holidays, stories were told of holidays past when my parents were younger with their grandparents. As an adult, I now know and realize how blessed I am to have met six of my eight great grandparents. Four of them I remember vividly. What role models and strong people these relatives were. They helped shape my family, and I am so glad to have gotten to know and love them as grandparents too. A chance many people don't have these days, I was given times six. Thankful for these people and how my parents and grandparents loved them.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 318, 319, 320, 321, 322, 323, 324, and 325
Day 318 -
Thankful for days when I feel good about my appearance. I'm very hard on myself with the way I look each day, but there are mornings when I put on the right top with the right pants, add the right jewelry and have my hair cooperate, and BAM! I'm good to go. :) Thankful for those days when I feel like I look good. It adds a little more success and confidence to my day.
Day 319 -
Thankful for medicine. I am so thankful that we have medications and doctors in our country that can make us feel better and help heal our bodies. As I re-ordered my prescription medicine today, I realized how lucky I am to have these resources available to me to make myself feel good and work properly. This is a part of life many people don't have.
Day 320 -
Thankful for the places I've seen and been. I've had the pleasure of traveling with my husband's family and mine. I'm so grateful for the places I've visited across this country. This past week would have been a time when we would have been on a trip to Disney, as we have in the years past. But, as sad as not going was, it made me so thankful for the times I've been, the other places I've visited, and the memories I've made. What a joy it is to travel and see the places God has created.
Day 321 -
Thankful for a "feast" at school today. Our 3rd graders made Stone Soup today and feasted on that, along with cornbread muffins and pumpkin pie. They had so much fun having their own little Thanksgiving treat. I'm thankful for a school, principal, and team who shares ideas and can allow our kids to be kids and celebrate the holidays.
Day 322 -
Thankful for a dear friend capturing pictures for Steve and me. One of my best friends, Amanda, is a budding photographer. She has done a couple of photo sessions for Steve and me before, and she offered to do them again this weekend. I'm so thankful for capturing our love and relationship on film as we grow and change. The pictures turned out really great, and I totally love them and the time while we get them taken.
Day 323 -
Thankful for an early Christmas celebration and visit with Amanda, Eric, and Graham. What a great weekend we had visiting this sweet family. I'm so glad I got to love on Amanda and Graham, that Steve got to meet that sweet baby, and that Steve was so willing to go with me. We had a lot of fun, and we loved getting some baby time in. :)
Day 324 -
Thankful for Thanksgiving break! So nice to have a break from school and celebrate this holiday where we focus on the blessings we have.
Day 325 -
Thankful that it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around my house! :) Such a happy time of year!

365 Days of Thanks - Day 315, 316, and 317
Day 315 -
Thankful for our veterans. Thankful for the brave men and women who sacrifice time with their loved ones, their normal routines, and some their lives. Our freedoms and rights come from the people who serve in our military and protect those freedoms. I'm thankful for the family members and friends I have that have taken the notion to serve in a very selfless way. So grateful for the special people that feel the call to serve and become veterans.
Day 316 -
Thankful for another year of life and my birthday. My 26th birthday has come, and I'm another year older...hopefully another year wiser. I'm thankful for the Lord seeing fit to give me another year of life and pray He grants me many more. I'm thankful for the parents He gave me to and the many blessings He has poured out on me in 26 years. My life is full and rich, even when I think it's not. I'm so lucky for the life and health I have. I can only give that thanks to God, and praise Him for the year to come.
Day 317 -
Thankful for the hard work of my kiddos. Today, our lesson wasn't exactly fun or interactive, but they were attentive and worked hard the whole morning. I'm so proud of them when they get what we're doing and put 100% into their thinking and effort. It pays off...and I hope they see it, and I continue to be grateful for it.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 313 and 314
Day 313 -
Thankful for education. I'm so grateful for the great education and knowledge I have gained from kindergarten through my college years, and even now. Thankful for the teachers, friends, and family members who have taught me so much. Thankful that gaining an education has led to a career and many talents, and now I get to give an education to so many children. Education is a powerful tool to hold. I'm thankful for the opportunities an education opens up and to be a part of its cycle.
Day 314 -
Thankful for the lessons children teach you. I witnessed an 8 year old boy, today, share the story of how his father never came back from war. This child talked with such pride, bravery, and composure. He has dealt with something to make him wise beyond his years, and he will be a mentor and help to many throughout his life. I learned more about bravery, courage, pressing on, and patriotism today from this child than anyone else in a long time. Sometimes the children are the ones who rise up, who teach, who inspire. I'm thankful to see children in that light.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 311 and 312
Day 311 -
Thankful for knowing my husband for the past 13 years. What a blessing he's been to me as he's turned from my best friend, to my boyfriend, my fiance, and now my husband. Thankful for that fateful day 13 years ago, how God has grown our relationship, blessed us, and given us so much love for half our lives now.
Day 312 -
Thankful that Jesus is KING no matter who is president!

365 Days of Thanks - Day 302, 303, 304, 305, 306, 307, 308, 309, and 310
Day 302 -
Thankful for seeing my husband's past. Last Sunday we enjoyed a fun family lunch at my in-laws, like most Sundays. This particular lunch was full of laughter from watching a Christmas video from when Steve was 4 years old. He was one of the most precious kids I've ever seen. It was so fun to see my second family before I was a part of it. It was fun to see my husband as a child and get a glimpse of how our own children might celebrate the holidays in the future. I'm thankful to see into parts of his life I wasn't around for.
Day 303 -
Thankful for Grandma and Grandpa Libick. Steve's other grandparents are one of the sweetest couples I've ever seen, having been married for over 60 years. They have taken me in as another granddaughter, and I'm so thankful for their love for me. I always enjoy visiting them. I'm grateful for the lessons and love they have for Steve and the family they have started, loved, and grown. They are very special people, and I'm blessed to be a member of their family.
Day 304 -
Thankful for my Aunt Elaine. Her birthday was back in July, but it slipped my mind to do a thankful post on her. She is my mom's older sister, and I see a lot of my "older sister" happenings in her too. She's a great aunt, different in many ways from my other aunts though. I have enjoyed getting to know her better as I've gotten older. I'm thankful for her guiding ways to my mom, her quilting talents, and her breast cancer surviving. She's a strong woman!
Day 305 -
Thankful for Halloween alternatives. So much of this holiday has turned into scary, non-Christian celebrations. I'm thankful that so many have come up with safe and family friendly alternatives. Church carnivals, fun parties, or just family traditions of pumpkin carving and a movie are all ways to celebrate fall and a little candy. I'm thankful to have these ideals instilled in me for my future family's Halloween celebrating.
Day 306 -
Thankful for well behaved children on Halloween AND the day after!
Day 307 -
Thankful for the ability to communicate with my students. I have a special student who needs a lot of TLC from some past family situations. A new novel we were starting might have been just enough to really send her into melt-down mode. But, after talking with her about the novel and letting her process everything, I think we'll be just fine. I'm thankful that God has given me the care and compassion for these children and that I can communicate with them on their level.
Day 308 -
Thankful for Steve's roommate and our best man, Paul. He is a great friend to Steve and good for a laugh to all! I was so happy when Steve invited him over for dinner as he was passing through town on Thursday night. I'm thankful for his friendship to Steve and his guidance to him as well.
Day 309 -
Thankful to have had a successful trip to Canton. Yay for getting some great pieces for our house!
Day 310 -
Thankful for the freedom to vote. With election night being less than 24 hours away, I am grateful for my chance to cast my ballot last week for the presidential election. I'm thankful that my voice can be heard and that my vote can count. It gives me the right to tell my concerns, to stand for my morals, and do my civic duty. I'm thankful for the right to take a part in such a vital part of our American history.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 296, 297, 298, 299, 300, and 301
Day 296 -
Thankful for a great day on our field trip. Field trip went great, kids had fun, parents were helpful, didn't lose a kid, and I even think they learned something! Thankful that as part of the two teachers that organized it, all went smoothly. It was a fun day at school!
Day 297 -
Thankful that our entire team spent our conference time today, together and laughing. So much about our team has changed (for the good). And, I'm thankful my team is part of what makes going to work enjoyable.
Day 298 -
Thankful for a full, uninterrupted night's sleep with Steve out of town. What a blessing. I'm slowly catching on to this being by myself thing sometimes... :)
Day 299 -
Thankful for the start of holiday shopping! Christmas is coming...a slight chill is in the air, the stores are beginning to make room for Christmas products, and I've even seen my first Christmas commercial on TV. I'm thankful I have a handful of gifts bought, but there is something so special about the hustle and bustle of getting out to do holiday shopping. I'm thankful for the start of the holiday season!
Day 300 -
Thankful for a successful Book Character Parade at school today. It's a fun tradition at my school, and it is so exciting for the kids. As overly excited as they get, and as such a weirdo as I feel dressing up, we had a blast. Our team was just great as 101 Dalmatians, and I think my costume looked very cute. :) I'm thankful for the days when we can kick back, have fun at school, and not worry about working our brains to death.
Day 301 -
Thankful for a combination of both my Little Elm and my Krum school families today. It was nice to have both sides of them there at my partner teacher's daughter's birthday party. It was a good feeling to be the one who knew lots of people and to be a part of two groups where I am accepted and respected. It was a fun morning...and not to mention celebrating sweet 4 year old Chloe!

365 Days of Thanks - Day 292, 293, 294, and 295
Day 292 -
Thankful that my husband offered to have some dear friends and neighbors over for dinner on Thursday night. It was so nice of him to do the inviting and thought of the little dinner party. It was fun to have good fellowship, and I was so proud of him for being so thoughtful.
Day 293 -
Thankful that we have a house where we can entertain our friends and family now. It's so nice to have our own space and then share our home with our friends and family, when we've had so many homes open to us. I'm also very thankful that our family is loving our cute, new home. :)
Day 294 -
Thankful for my grandma buying us a boat-load of groceries! It used to be toys, books, and clothes I was so thankful for when they were bought for me, out of the blue. I'm an adult...because now it's groceries! Thanks, Nin, for stocking our kitchen. It sure was thoughtful and helped out the bank account, as well as the pantry. :)
Day 295 -
Thankful for little traditions. We went to the state fair today (husband, sister, and me). It is something Steve and I have done every year since we've been married, and it's always fun when sister can come along too. The little things that turn into your favorite events of the year become happy times and memories. I'm thankful we've started to establish our own traditions and memories as a family of two.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 285, 286, 287, 288, 289, 290, and 291
Day 285 -
Thankful that Steve and I share the same political views. It's so nice that we have always agreed on the way things should be done and run. It's a blessing that we share these views with our families as well. There are so many couples in the world today who are split in their ideals and on so many issues. I'm thankful the Lord has wired us the same way in regards to politics, religion, and other big ideas.
Day 286 -
Thankful that when I lost my job it was at a time when Steve and I didn't have a house payment, a child to take care of, or any big bills. It happened at a time that (if there were a "good" time for that to happen) we could handle it. I'm just thankful God knew it was better then than at another time. He's always watching...
Day 287 -
Thankful that the Lord brought us home safely in 8 hours worth of pouring rain from Kansas. Also thankful that my grandparents got home safely from Alaska. Always thankful for safe traveling mercies!
Day 288 -
Thankful to have my grandparents home! They are here for at least another six months. :) I am just thankful I have had the chance to live near my grandparents for most of my life. I am thankful for the new opportunities my grandparents could have and being near them again.
Day 289 -
Thankful today is done. The end.
Day 290 -
Thankful for my grandmother, Ninny. The 16th was her birthday. I am so glad she is in my life. She's a driving force, a huge supporter, and likes to spoil me rotten. I am so much like her in many, many ways. Some of my best family memories are because of her hard work and dedication to having a happy family. She is a fighter, fiesty, and loves to be in style. (Hmm, sounds a lot like me, actually.) I'm thankful for her guidance, her laughter, her hugs, and her love. She's an amazing grandmother, and I hope to love my grandchildren just as much as she loves her own. I'm very thankful to have her and learn from her.
Day 291 -
Thankful for one of my best friends, Amanda. The 16th was her birthday too. Amanda has been a best friend since we were freshmen in college. She is an amazing friend, and she understands me in a way no one else does. I'm thankful for her laughter, her ability to make me feel better, and that we can talk about virtually anything. I'm so proud of her, her being a new, great mommy, and the amazing personality she has. She is a true treasure to me, and I'm so happy we have remained such close friends despite growing up and living in different cities. She helps me count my own blessings many days. Truly thankful for her!

365 Days of Thanks - Day 283 and 284
Day 283 -
Thankful that I have a line of men in my life who can fix my car. With my dad being a car repair shop owner for 20 years, I was lucky when it came to quality repairs for pretty much free. I just so happened to marry a man who observed and has enough know how to fix my car now too. Just glad that when that funny sound or weird thing happens to my car, it can be fixed (quickly, with confidence, and with love). :)
Day 284 -
Thankful that I can be a sense of reassurance to some of the parents of my students. I have had many parents tell me lately how they are relieved and thankful for all I do for their students. Always thankful for words of compliment or encouragement.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 276, 277, 278, 279, 280, 281, and 282
Day 276 -
Thankful I have so many people in my life who love me. It's just nice to be reminded of being loved. My parents, brother, in laws, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, students, husband, and many more people all love me. No greater gift is there than love. The Lord loves me enough to put all those people in my life. And, I'm thankful for all of them accepting me as I am.
Day 277 -
Thankful that gratefulness goes hand in hand with gladness. When I'm thankful for something, I'm often glad for it and can use the terms interchangeably. I'm so thankful that I can experience many emotions from one simple thing and that being thankful leads to realizing one's happiness.
Day 278 -
Thankful for an extra set of hands in my classroom this year. We have some extra "intervention" teachers in our school this year, and it's nice to have a helper every couple of days. (Almost like having a part time student teacher.) The lady in my room is very nice, willing to do just about anything, and has been a huge help to my struggling students. I hope it continues to be a good partnership.
Day 279 -
Thankful to have parent/teacher conferences. This may seem odd for a teacher to be thankful to meet with parent after parent for two straight days, but I am. This is the best way to get to know my students, my families, and really connect with my parents. I'm thankful for the two half-days we have to have these meetings, the great connections I'm making, and the information shared. Parent/teacher teamwork is the key to success!
Day 280 -
Thankful for the first cold snap of the season! Cold temperatures were upon us (at least for the weekend)! I was so glad to break out my jackets and long sleeves! I'm thankful for the promise of fall in the air!
Day 281 -
Thankful to be able to share in my husband's interests and passions with him. The air show was yesterday, and it's the third time we've gone. It's so much fun and amazing to see what those airplanes are capable of. I'm just so thankful I can share in the things Steve loves with him and learn more about them. It's so great to be able to do stuff together.
Day 282 -
Thankful to know that I had the answers and do a lot of what we learned about in staff development today, in my classroom already. Sometimes it's just nice to have the answers and know I'm doing some things on the right path.

Day 282 -
Thankful to know that I had the answers and do a lot of what we learned about in staff development today, in my classroom already. Sometimes it's just nice to have the answers and know I'm doing some things on the right path.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 274 and 275
Day 274 -
Thankful for seeing my husband as a child. We watched some old videos at my in laws' yesterday afternoon, and it was just such a blessing to see Steve as a baby and how he lived. There are so many qualities and characteristics I bet our kids will have that will come from Steve. I'm just thankful to get to see how he was and what an adorable baby he was. Makes me excited for when we'll have kids of our own some day!
Day 275 -
Thankful for nice compliments. I was thinking today - for what did I actually say "thank you" to someone today? Another teacher complimented my shirt. And, I replied with "Thank you." Sometimes it's just the little things...and you stop and think, what made me just say "thanks."

365 Days of Thanks - Day 268, 269, 270, 271, 272, and 273
Day 268 -
Thankful for my talents. I don't often think about what my talents are, probably because I don't feel like I have very many of them, but I know God gives us all gifts. I'm thankful that my way with words can make others feel better, that my organization and leadership skills make people look to me for suggestions at school, that my love for my job makes my families feel comfortable. I'm thankful for the gifts and talents God has given me that not everyone can do or have. They are what make me - me. They are the skills the Lord wanted me to have before I was even born, and that's such a personal gift the Lord can give me.
Day 269 -
Thankful for the bravery and courage the Lord is giving me as Steve is out of town all week. Thankful for the sleep I got and the peace of the Lord's presence.
Day 270 -
Thankful for the opportunity Steve has had with his trip this week. It's a super experience, and he's talking to men who he can look to for flying career advice. I'm thankful for those men mentoring him, and what the Lord is teaching him.
Day 271 -
Thankful that my parents still let me come over and spend the night, when I just need a little comfort. :)
Day 272 -
I know I've been thankful for this before, but SO thankful that Steve made it home (and safely) from his week long trip! Thankful we made it a work week a part. Just thankful to curl up next to him and do nothing at all.
Day 273 -
Thankful for whatever God saw fit for me today...which just happened to be sitting on the couch, watching tv, and resting to get rid of my snotty nose.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 266 and 267
Day 266 -
First of all - wow! Only 100 days to go left in the year 2012. That's crazy! Where does the time go?! A new year always brings freshness and new starts, so that's always a little something to look forward to. Anyway, with my husband working and spending time with his college roommate yesterday, I was sure thankful for a night at "home." Just my mom, dad, and me. It was like old times. I had dinner at my parents' house, we all watched the Aggie football game (ending in a win...whoop!), and had some great conversation. It was just what the doctor ordered and so nice to just spend time with the two people who gave me life, raised me, and always love me. A little taste of the "old days" was a lot of fun and relaxing.
Day 267 -
Thankful for the Lord guiding Steve and I to make a huge decision, as a couple. Thankful we feel at peace with this decision (right now). Thankful our families were supportive and excited to hear the plans for this decision. Thankful for God leading us towards our future that HE has in store. Thankful to be sharing our secret.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 264 and 265
Day 264 -
Thankful for Godly neighbors. One of my childhood friends and her husband bought a house a couple of months before us in our same neighborhood. They are such a sweet and Godly couple. We had a great time having dinner at their house last night. It was nice to do something fun and spend some time with our neighbors. I'm thankful they are one street away from us, should we ever need anything. It's a nice feeling of security and friendliness.
Day 265 -
Thankful that I changed up my lesson routine today at just the right time. Morning class = not great. Changed it up, afternoon class = much better...just as the principal walked in for a surprise walk-through. Thankful I got good remarks from him and the activity really was good for the kids and learning!

365 Days of Thanks - Day 260, 261, 262, and 263
Day 260 -
Last Tuesday was the anniversary of September 11th. I forgot about this when I was actually blogging about my thankfulness for that particular day. But, I have to stop and give thanks for the unity, freedom, and those that protect us all because of that one day. I'm thankful for how the country banded together after those tragic attacks. God does that horrible instances and use them to bring people to Him. I'm thankful for the unity and strength of my country. I'm thankful for the freedoms we have, and most definitely for the men and woman who have protected us from harm's way since and because of those attacks. I'm thankful that America will always remember...
Day 261 -
Thankful for "this beautiful life. And forgive me if I don't love it enough."
Day 262 -
Thankful for my grandfather. My Poppy means the world to me. And this was his birthday. I'm so thankful for another year of life for this man. He, sadly, is my only living grandfather. But, because of that, our relationship is very solid. I'm so thankful I'm the only granddaughter, as I feel my relationship with my grandparents are very special. I'm incredibly blessed to have him as a role model and leader in our family. I'm so thankful for his intelligence, his love, his Aggie pride, his vast knowledge, family and business ethics, his giving ways, and his faith. He's an amazing man who I truly admire, and I'm just beyond thankful for him.
Day 263 -
Thankful for my husband covering us in prayer last night. I actually said thank you to him for that this morning, so that's exactly what I'm thankful for today.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 254, 255, 256, 257, and 258
Day 254 -
Thankful that a baby girl's surgery to remove a tumor was 100% successful today. The Lord is the ultimate healer. Thank you, God, and continue to heal her.
Day 255 -
Thankful for a FREE treadmill. It's set up and working. Thankful Steve's parents let us have a free way to exercise, despite the weather. I'm hoping the Lord will continue to discipline me to exercise just to make my body more healthy.
Day 256 -
Thankful for a mentoring friend at school. An older lady I teach with is the greatest friend and "school mom" I could ask for. I'm so grateful for her listening ear, caring advice, and sweet spirit. She is just what I need sometimes. I'm very thankful for her many roles in my life.
Day 257 -
Thankful for fall air coming and our first walk around the neighborhood with my husband.
Day 258 -
Thankful for the love of children. Just the simple politeness and comfort when you know they love you. Precious little girl today: "Thanks, Mrs. Libick. I hope you have a great weekend too!"

365 Days of Thanks - Day 249, 250, 251, 252, and 253
Day 249 -
Thankful for my college roommate and best friend, Ryann. Her birthday was back on August 21st, and I never did a "thank" post on her. She was my constant in college. She can make me laugh, make me cry, and make me see things in different lights. I'm thankful for her intelligence and all she's helped me learn, her uncanny sense of humor and how it impacts me, and her ability to always be there for me and get me in a way no one else can. She was an amazing roommate and an even greater friend. I'm thankful for her organization, creativity, and knowledge she brings into my life. I'm very blessed to call her my friend!
Day 250 -
Thankful that I feel on my toes with certain things this school year. I'm prepping already to find some interventions to help one of my struggling students. And, nothing is more gratifying than to hear my counselor tell me I'm doing exactly what I need to be doing!
Day 251 -
Thankful I passed my technology competencies! I had to partake in a series of technology lessons and artifacts for being a new teacher in my school district. I knocked them out this summer, with many hours and frustrating moments put into them. But, I found out on Friday that I passed them, and now they are DONE! :) Thankful I'm finished with those!
Day 252 -
Thankful for my time at Texas A&M University. The first football game of the season was Saturday, and it made me long for my college days. I'm so thankful to have attended such a special place for college. My memories and friends I made there are so fresh and sweet to me. I'm so thankful for the traditions and unity I found there and how they carry on. Also, pretty thankful for, despite the loss, they came out and played hard in their first SEC football game.
Day 253 -
Well, as my husband tells me I should be - I am thankful that despite the FANTASTIC weather we had this weekend (highs in the 80s), he stayed home tonight so I wouldn't be by myself. He didn't even mention fishing. I am grateful that he thought of me before himself, even on a low key night at home. Great way to end a pretty good weekend!

365 Days of Thanks - Day 245, 246, 247, and 248
Day 245 -
Thankful for my grandma taking us on a little shopping trip. My grandmother is so giving, and she definitely gave some on Saturday by taking my mom, aunt, and me on a little back to school clothes shopping trip. Didn't go crazy or anything, but it was sure was nice of her, and I'm thankful for a few new pieces for the new school year.
Day 246 -
Thankful for end of summer fun. A day at the lake with Steve's family turned out better than I thought it would. Followed by a fun evening of swimming, dinner, and Alaska video watching with my family. All in all, the day was way more fun than I thought, and I'm thankful God turned my mood around.
Day 247 -
Thankful for an extra day off from school. Labor Day came just after our first week of school, and the extra day off to catch up on work and rest was much needed and wonderful. It made going back to work harder, but I'm thankful for all I got done with an extra day off.
Day 248 -
Thankful that I wasn't the only one with a rough day back to the school week. At least it was reassuring to hear that a handful of other teachers had sucky lessons and squirrely classes. :)

365 Days of Thanks - Day 241, 242, 243, and 244
Day 241 -
Thankful that last night, after my first day of school, my sweet husband made dinner and cleaned up - without even asking me to help. He just let me put my feet up. It was bliss.
Day 242 -
Thankful that I am blessed with some of the most simple things that many are praying for on a daily basis.
Day 243 -
Thankful I tracked down the team t-shirts I went on a wild goose chase for. Thankful my husband went with me to pick them up. Thankful to Mardel for holding them for me.
Day 244 -
Thankful for a successful and empowering activity with my students today. They were so happy doing it, as they heard their classmates build them up and give positive comments to them. I'm glad we did it. I'm glad it went smoothly and that they enjoyed it. Always thankful for new ideas that actually work!

365 Days of Thanks - Day 235, 236, 237, 238, 239, and 240
Day 235 -
Thankful for a work day in my classroom. So nice to have a day given to me, specifically to get things done. Grateful that my district believes in giving teachers time to prepare.
Day 236 -
Thankful for my new students. I met a new group of kiddos tonight, at Meet the Teacher night. I have a little girl in my class that I'm pretty sure I'm meant to teach. I'm thankful for the possibility of what I can do and be in her life and all their lives. Thank you, Lord, for a new group of students.
Day 237 -
Thankful for team bonding. There are some changes on my teaching team this year, but they are great changes. We are getting along and bonding like never before. I'm so thankful for the chance for our team to be close and supportive. Thankful for my team and each of those ladies, as we all bring our own personalities and strengths to our hallway.
Day 238 -
Thankful for pedicures. So relaxing and nice, clean feet. Hey...it's the truth! :)
Day 239 -
Thankful for when my husband puts me to sleep. I love the when he strokes my hair, rubs my back, and helps relax me for bed. Nothing sweeter than him "tucking me in." I'm very thankful for the nights he's home.
Day 240 -
Thankful for a good first day of school. It went smoothly, looks like I have a good class, and I'm excited about the new year. Thankful for the promise and excitement a new year brings. Can't ask for anything better than surviving day one.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 233 and 234
Day 233 -
Thankful that I made it thru the first night alone in the new house. Wish I had slept better, but thankful I got thru that dreaded first night and that the Lord did allow me to fall back to sleep eventually.
Day 234 -
Thankful for not being the "newbie" at school anymore! It felt so great today to be the one with answers, to be the one with familiar ideas, and to be there for someone else. I've always wanted to help new teachers, and now I finally get to. I'm so happy that I'm no longer the newest or lowest man on the totem pole. Big praise the God for this...thankful to have a better foundation and just to not be new this year!

365 Days of Thanks - Day 231 and 232
Day 231 -
Thankful Kayla did so well at her first gymnastics meet of the season. She did a great job, conquered her nerves, and was kept safe! Goooo, Kayla! I'm so grateful that we are in a position and close enough to be able to support our niece in all her endeavors.
Day 232 -
Thankful for pets and all that they teach us. Pets become a member of our families and our friends. They are a part of our life to love, leave us with good memories, and teach us about life and loss. Despite the hard time when losing a pet, I am thankful for the animals God made, intending us to interact with them. RIP, Ethel Mae Libick.

Day 229 -
Thankful for the courage to find a recipe and cook dinner all by myself! Mostly thankful that it actually turned out! Baby steps... :)
Day 230 -
Thankful for the chance to help out a fellow teacher in her classroom switch. Thankful the bulletin boards turned out looking good. Thankful she bought me lunch as appreciation.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 228
Thankful for falling asleep to the sound of rain and thunder outside last night. Much needed rain, and when it's not a severe storm, there's nothing better to lull you to sleep.
Tuesday, August 14, 2012
365 Days of Thanks - Day 227
Thankful that when Steve and I got married, it wasn't just us two becoming one. It was two families becoming one family. So thankful and lucky that our two amazing families can laugh, love, and support each otherh as one.
Monday, August 13, 2012
365 Days of Thanks - Day 223, 224, 225, and 226
Day 223 -
Thankful for good music. Nothing like music that makes hours in the car feel like minutes, makes you can't help but bob your head and tap your foot, makes you sing at the top of your lungs. Whether it's from your childhood, has inspirational lyrics, or is just off the wall with a good beat - just thankful for music and how it can enrich our lives.
Day 224 -
Thankful to be a part of a great second, extended family. We gathered on Saturday with my mother in law's family to celebrate one of her brother's birthday. We have the best time when we all get together. Nothing but laughter and stories fill the house (well, except for the great food). We had a great time. I saw sides of each aunt and uncle I'd never seen before. I'm just so grateful they have all welcomed me in with open arms. Thankful for the family bonding they have, the stories they share, and the laughter we can't get enough of.
Day 225 -
Thankful that Grandpa Johnson was so looking so much better this past weekend. So glad he had color, a smile on his face, and that his little hair was growing back. So glad he was up to the company and party. It was definitely something to praise the Lord about!
Day 226 -
Thankful my husband came to help me in my classroom today. Thankful for his muscles, good ideas, and caring nature to help other teachers in my hallway. I'm so grateful he supports my career and passion and was able to lend a hand today.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 220, 221, and 222
Day 220 -
Thankful for the chance to cheer someone up. It's always a good feeling to be able to make someone else smile, especially someone who is always making others smile. Just thankful to show Christ's love and guidance to another.
Day 221 -
Thankful for the promise in these words: "Bless the Lord, O my soul. O, my soul. Worship His holy name. Sing like never before, O my soul. I'll worship your holy name. The sun comes up, it's a new day dawning. It's time to sing Your song again. Whatever may pass, and whatever lies before me, let me be singing when the evening comes. You're rich in love, and You're slow to anger. Your name is great, and Your heart is kind. For all Your goodness I will keep on singing. Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find. And on that day when my strength is failing, the end draws near and my time has come. Still my soul will sing Your praise unending. Ten thousand years and then forevermore."
Day 222 -
Thankful for my husband helping me with back to school work and prep. He's so great to help cut things out, give his opinion, and come to school to hang things or move heavy stuff. He's just very supportive, and I'm so grateful he sees my passion for my students and classroom and can be a part of it and an extra hand.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 214, 215, 216, 217, 218, and 219
Day 214 -
Thankful for the chance to visit my best friend and her new baby!!! I finally got to meet this precious baby boy. He sure knew how to melt my heart. I am always grateful for the chance to visit with my far away friend, but meeting her son made it even more special. I can talk to her about anything, and we always have lots of laughs together. So thankful for a job where I had the chance to take a few days and visit. And thankful for meeting Baby G!
Day 215 -
Thankful for finding some school clothes. Whew...at least I got a dress for Meet the Teacher night. Such a pain to find school clothes, but I'll take whatever items I can find at the time.
Day 216 -
Thankful for the Lord's strength. Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord, and He is showing my family that right now. I'm thankful I have family members strong enough to rely on His faith in the tough times. His guidance and timing are always perfect. Thankful and proud of you, S!
Day 217 -
Thankful for a great birthday party for my dad! We had a great turn out for Dad's party Saturday night. I'm so thankful we have so many family and friends who love us enough to celebrate. Thankful for each person there, as they have all had a role of some kind in my life.
Day 218 -
Thankful for my daddy. He turned the big 5-0 yesterday. I'm so grateful the Lord has given him a half century of life and pray for 50 more years for him. I'm thankful for all the lessons my dad has taught me, the tough love, the good times. He is an amazing dad, and he has taught me never to settle when I can go farther. I'm thankful for him raising me in a Christian home, sharing so many values with me, and always loving me...no matter what. Yes, very thankful my daddy coached me in softball, walked me down the aisle on my wedding day, and can have deep conversations with me or give advice when I need it. Happy birthday, Daddy! I love you and am very thankful for you!
Day 219 -
Thankful I got back into my classroom today. So happy to get in there, get organized, and get back into my groove!

365 Days of Thanks - Day 211, 212, and 213
Day 211 -
Thankful for the prospect of new, exciting, and good changes at school this coming school year. New team members = new bonding, I hope!
Day 212 -
Thankful for clean, fresh linens. Nothing makes you rest better than clean sheets and a fresh towel. Thankful that I have multiples of these items in my home. It does make me fortunate.
Day 213 -
Thankful for my last day of tutoring. I was thankful for the tutoring, because it did bring in extra money this summer, but so glad it's over too. Now it's time to get into the school mind set and soak up the rest of the summer.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 203, 204, 205, 206, 207, 208, 209, and 210
Day 203 -
Thankful for a good night's sleep. When you have so much on your mind and things that just won't let you rest, you are so thankful when you finally can. So grateful that the Lord gave my body rest and allowed me to sleep after a rough previous night.
Day 204 -
Thankful for Christian business owners. In a world where we are so focused on materialism and making a buck, it is so refreshing to still see business owners that care about people and morals. My father had this kind of business, and when you see places closing on Sundays or playing Christian music in their stores, it is so uplifting. I do thank God for these people. Their courage and stand for the Lord is something we should all strive for. I'm thankful they are planting seeds for others to hear of Christ.
Day 205 -
Thankful for the Christmaas store. :) I truly do believe that Christmas is one of the most wonderful and happiest times of the year. So, why not be thankful for a store that celebrates that all year long? The decorations and sounds of the season are all around...and the ultimate reason for the season in Christ's birth. It's a place I can't wait to go to when visiting Gatlinburg, TN. Why not be thankful for a store that makes you so happy?
Day 206 -
Thankful for a girls trip. So blessed with a second family where I can vacation with the girls - my sister, niece and mother-in-law. It was a fun getaway to Gatlinburg, TN and the Smoky Mountains. It's a great place to take in God's beautiful nature, shop, eat, and just take in the sites. I'm so thankful that I'm close enough to and loved enough to go on these trips with my husband's family, but him not have to be there to feel comfortable. It was a fun few days for girl time.
Day 207 -
Thankful to come home to my husband. I had a great trip, but there is no place like coming home to my husband. I love when he comes home to me, but the other way around is such a nice feeling. I'm always thankful for the closeness and intimacy we have when we have been a part for a few days.
Day 208 -
Thankful for girls lunch date with my family. My grandmother, two aunts, cousin, mom, and me always have a summer lunch date in July. It's a tradition we all look forward to. I'm so thankful for us to get together, laugh, and just spend time together as the women of the family. They are all important people in my life, and I'm just glad we are a family close enough to hang out together.
Day 209 -
Thankful for the Olympics. While many see the Olympics as boring or "just sports," it is so much more than that. In a world where there is fighting, political differences, and so much saddness, the Olympics symbolize a great unity. It brings our country together for a short time and brings the world together too. It's inspiring, unites those who view things differently, and is a source of pride. I'm thankful for this bright spot in a dark world.
Day 210 -
Thankful for my husband and father-in-law's willingness to do so much and work so hard around our new house. One of them doesn't even live here, but they have done so much to help make our house a home. I so appreciate their care and dedication to whatever needs to be done around here. I'm thankful for such handy men in my family!

365 Days of Thanks - Day 200, 201, and 202
Day 200 -
Thankful for my marriage. On July 18th, Steve and I celebrated 3 years of marriage. It has been quite a ride since we said "I do." But, it's been full of the most joyous of moments, and I would never trade the past 3 years. My husband is my best friend, my support, my source of laughter, and my prayer warrior. He's amazing. I'm so thankful for our friendship, our love, and our Godly marriage. We keep the Lord and our love at the center of our marriage, and I'm just so thankful for God blessing me with this incredible partner. I know we have grown closer and learned so much in the past 3 years, and I can't wait to see what the rest of the adventure holds.
Day 201 -
Thankful for time with my teaching partner. So glad I got to spend some time with my great friend and teaching partner. It'd been a long time coming this summer, and we had so much fun gearing up for the school year. She's a great comic relief and friend to talk to. Fun afternoon!
Day 202 -
Thankful that God is in control, He knows the reasons, and He will be glorified. When horrible, unthinkable things happen in the world (like a shooting at a movie premiere in another state), we want to ask, "WHY?" But, you must find peace in the knowledge that God already knows why. And He knows the after-math. And He will be glorified through it all. He will use the people effected to help others, He will use this to bring people to Him. It's an awful and sickening event, but I'm thankful to know my God is bigger than it all!

365 Days of Thanks - Day 197, 198, 199
Day 197 -
Thankful for the decorating talent of my sister (in-law). Our house is starting to come together, getting decorated little by little. And, a huge part of that is due to my amazing sister! I'm so thankful for her decorating talent and the creativity she brings to every room and design she touches. The walls and items she's done and picked out really compliment Steve and my's life. It looks great, and I can't wait to get it all finished. I'm so thankful for her help, guidance, and willingness to decorate!
Day 198 -
Thankful for my sister! Today is Sherri's birthday. She is my source of laughter, friendship, confidence, learning, and love. She's an amazing big sister and has welcomed me into her family long before Steve and I got married. She really is a best friend, and we have nothing but fun together! I'm so thankful for her guidance and just for...her! She's got so much talent, common logic, and cares so much. I hit the sister jack-pot, and I'm really thankful for her.
Day 199 -
Can you be thankful for arguements? I guess that's kind of what I'm thankful for today. Just because you usually learn something from them. They stink, but you come out stronger for some reason...

365 Days of Thanks - Day 191, 192, 193, 194, 195, and 196
Day 191 -
Thankful for routine. I am a creature of habit, so it was nice to get back into the swing of things on Monday with tutoring, laundry, and getting chores completed. I was so glad for the day of normalcy and catching up with my husband.
Day 192 -
Thankful for unexpected surprises, when you think you have water class - then find out it's been canceled due to weather, and then you have a night to laugh and have fun with family at home. :)
Day 193 -
Thankful for some fun in the sun. Had a girls day with some of Mom's teacher friends out by the pool this day. Fun time to enjoy the sun, the cool water, and chat with the ladies.
Day 194 -
Thankful for a hair cut. Sometimes, as it has been before, it's the simple things that make us most happy. Whenn my hair had gotten as long and the color had grown out as much as it had, a haircut was just what I needed to feel fresh again. So thankful for the money to get my hair done and the friend I have made in my hair dresser.
Day 195 -
Thankful for internet and cable! We finally got our internet and cable installed in the new house, and I didn't realize how thankful I am for those two (kind of...okay - very) material things. I'm thankful for the communication and entertainment they provide and for the money we are blessed enough with to have both of these things.
Day 196 -
Thankful my niece is home from gymnastics camp and that she had a good time. I'm very proud of her for being away from home for the past week. I'm glad she learned so much, was able to make new friends, and is back home safe and sound. Can't wait to see her tomorrow. I'm thankful she has the chances to chase her dreams and pursue her passions.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 182, 183, 184, 185, 186, 187, 188, 189, and 190
Week of thankfulness - Alaska edition!
Day 182 (Saturday, June 30th) -
Thankful for God's nature and beauty. No place other than Alaska can make you appreciate and understand the beauty of the creation by our Lord. His nature and scenic views are a gift He leaves for us each and everyday. I am so thankful for the beauty He gives us in nature. It gave me a feeling and grasp on things I've never felt before. Just amazing how every mountain seemed perfectly placed, every flower perfectly bloomed, and every cloud just at the right spot in the sky.
Day 183 -
Thankful for a break in the hot, Texas, summer weather. The temperatures in Alaska were in the high 50s most of the time we were there. It was so nice to get away, have some refreshing air and weather, and breathe deep. It was a welcome break from the hot, stuffy weather at home.
Day 184 -
Thankful for the chance to travel. Visiting Alaska was a dream I never knew if would come true or not. I am just so thankful for the chance to visit that place and the opportunities to travel anywhere - within the state, the country, and the world. I'm thankful for the chances we have to travel freely, enjoy the vacations and memories with those I love, and see new things that the Lord has created. I hope the Lord continues to bless us with travels.
Day 185 -
Thankful for my grandpa's laugh. I'm thankful for any time of laughter with my family, but Poppy's laugh just lights and fills up any room. His laugh is contagious. It warmed my heart everytime I heard him laughing and having a good time. His laughter lets me know he's around and happy. It was a great sound and feeling all week.
Day 186 -
Thankful for freedom and liberty. This day was the 4th of July. Independence Day. I'm so thankful for the freedom and independence of my country. I'm thankful for all that have made it possible. I'm thankful for the chance to be an independent woman, work, have my own family and home. Our country is the richest, most liberated nation in the world. How can you not be thankful for the opportunities we're given, the freedoms we have to voice our opinions and pick our leaders, and the security we have? Thank you, Lord, for America. Let us glorify You.
Day 187 -
Thankful for new adventures. On Thursday, we went on a train ride. I've traveled by several means before, but never by train. This was a great day and experience. I had so much fun, riding along, seeing the nature, and enjoying the time. Always thankful for new and exciting adventures.
Day 188 -
Thankful for my mom. July 6th was Mom's birthday. So incredibly thankful for my mom. She's my friend, advice giver, listener, shopping buddy, and always takes care of me. She's a great mom and woman. I'm so thankful for the Lord blessing her with more years of life and for giving me to her. I wish her many more years of life and happiness!
Day 189 -
Thankful for my home. Ahhh, there is no place like home. As much fun as our Alaskan adventure was, it was so nice to be home with familiar surroundings and back to those that we missed. It was nice to come to our OWN home this time and have time with just my husband and me. Never been so thankful for my own bed. :)
Day 190 -
Thankful for wildlife and animals. One of the days in Alaska, we visited a wildlife center. We saw animals some people will never see in a lifetime. I was so thankful for that opportunity. Each animals has a certain purpose on earth, and God made them all, just like us. It was an honor to see and interact with these animals. They were all orphaned or injured, so I'm thankful they had a safe home too. These animals exhibited beauty, helpfulness to nature, and so much personality. I just became very aware and thankful for the wildlife and animals (both wild and domestic) that God has given us.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 180 and 181
Been M.I.A. from my thankfulness blogging due to being out of town and without internet, but get ready - here comes A LOT of thankfulness! :)
Day 180 (June 28th) -
Thankful for "the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours because it means that I'm alive."
Day 181 (June 29th) -
Thankful for safe travels. On this day, we drove to the airport, got on 3 planes, took off and landed 4 times, and drove to my grandparents house. We were kept safe and sound every leg of our trip and travels to Alaska, and I know that was through God's will alone. I am also so thankful that my mom felt safe and relaxed during our flights.

Day 174 -
Thankful for "a lawn that has to be mowed, windows that have to be washed, and gutters that need fixing because it means I have a home." Yes, I have a home! Thank you, Jesus, for letting this adventure happen! To YOU, be the glory!
Day 175 -
Thankful for helpful friends and family, with strong muscles, to help move furniture, unpack boxes, and make everything as orderly as possible. :)
Day 176 -
Thankful for "the spot I find at the far end of the parking lot because it means I am capable of walking."
Day 177 -
Thankful for "all the complaining I hear about our government because it means we have freedom of speech."
Day 178 -
Thankful for "my shadow who watches me work because it means I am out in the sunshine."
Day 179 -
Thankful for an amazing grandmother I have. My Grandmommy has the heart of a giver...she always has. She is kind, considerate, and puts others before herself. I'm thankful for the way she thinks of me when I have a new experience or adventure, and how we will always have a touch of her around the house with all she helps with. She is a woman who truly loves her grandchildren and is happy when we are happy. I hope to be like her in those ways when I am a mother and grandmother.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 170, 171, 172, and 173
Day 170 -
Thankful for the "clothes that fit a little too snug because it means I have enough to eat."
Day 171 -
Thankful for the "spot I find at the far end of the parking lot because it means I am capable of walking."
Day 172 -
Thankful for a day that rejuevenates. A pedicure with Mom, a day running around with my best friend/husband, lunch out. It just makes for a good day. It strengthens relationships and puts you in a good mood. :)
Day 173 -
Thankful for birth and the gift of life. One of my very best friends had her baby boy this morning! I'm so thankful she had an incredibly smooth pregnancy and delivery. Graham is a blessing from above and is soooo cute! :) A baby being born makes you stop and realize what a miracle a baby is. It's so incredible that a human comes from virtually nothing. What a way God makes our bodies work, strengthens marriages, and allows us to rejoice with babies. I am so thankful for my life, my friendship with Amanda, and her precious new baby. I pray God will use Graham to enrich her and her husband's lives. Thankful to have a husband to share this gift with one day too.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 162, 163, 164, 165, 166, 167, 168, and 169
Day 162 -
Thankful for God's promises. What a promise this is: "Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you."
Day 163 -
Thankful for the taxes we pay...because it means we are employed.
Day 164 -
Thankful for the chance to get to work with a kindergarten aged kid again! It was fun thinking back to how I helped struggling 6 year olds and bringing out those old tricks again.
Day 165 -
Thankful for a workshop with my new team, with information I will actually use!
Day 166 -
Thankful for a workshop with my old team, with some information I will use. :) I really am blessed to have two great teams of educators to work with and share ideas with.
Day 167 -
Thankful for a mother-in-law that teaches me how to be hospitable, even when you don't really want to be. My in-laws will take in anybody for a meal, celebrate a birthday for anyone, and welcomes many into their home. I'm thankful I have examples, such as these, in my life.
Day 168 -
Thankful that peeling wallpaper and preparing a room for painting went smoother and faster than I could have ever imagined!
Day 169 -
Happy Father's Day! So incredibly thankful for my father and father figures. My dad is great...I get many of my personality traits from him. He has set super examples for me on how to manage a home, money, the business world, and carry yourself in a Christian manner. I'm so proud of his business ethics, hard work ethic, and faith he carries. I will always cherish our daddy/daughter times, him coaching me in softball, walking me down the aisle on my wedding day, and advice and wisdom I can always count on from him. I have a great father-in-law who showers me with the same love he does his own children, and he has given my husband so many qualities that will make him the greatest dad. My grandfathers and Steve's grandfathers are solid role models in our families, and I'm so thankful for their love and wisdom too. None of these men would be here for me or mean anything to me without my Heavenly Father. Thank you, Lord, for loving me as your daughter and your guidance. You are what it means to have the heart of a father. Thank you, Lord, for daddies.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 158, 159, 160, and 161
Day 158 -
Thankful for the rain! Oh, we need the rain so bad, as we always do in the summertime in Texas. It sure came tonight. And, it's going to keep on coming. Sometimes there's nothing better than curling up on the couch, with a blanket and good movie/tv show on a rainy evening. :)
Day 159 -
Thankful for a productive day. Always thankful and a nice day when hubby gets an unexpected day at home. So, we made it count today. We hauled a bunch of boxes out of the attic today and downstairs to go through them and get ready for a new adventure. While, I'm not saying it was a super fun time...I know I will be really thankful this time next week when it's already done. :)
Day 160 -
Thankful for a day with my sweet niece. She's just precious and a light in my life. It was fun to just have some time with her, uncle, and me. She's a hoot. I'm so glad she's been given the gift to make others laugh. What a little lady she's growing up to be, and I'm just grateful to be her aunt.
Day 161 -
Thankful for a day when you don't have to be anywhere at a certain time, don't have to wake up early, and don't have to even put your make-up on. Yeeeeah, sometimes that's just great. Thank you, Lord, for downtime, but a productive day at home.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 155, 156, and 157
Day 155 -
Thankful for graduations. This afternoon, we went to my cousin's graduation party. She just graduated from high school last Friday. (So proud of her, by the way!) It made me think how thankful I am for what graduation means and how I have had two successful graduations. Graduation is a huge accomplishment, no matter what it's for. It means you have achieved a great milestone and you're ready for a new chapter in life's journey. It makes you proud, the people around you proud, and you usually get all set for whatever's coming next. I'm so grateful the Lord saw me fit to graduate with honors from both high school and college. I'm thankful He gave me life long enough to see both graduations, that both set me off for a new chapter of success, and that I really appreciated both ceremonies and all they meant. I'm very thankful for the times in our lives when the Lord helps us close one door with lots of glory and carries us through a new one too.
Day 156 -
Thankful for water exercise class. My water exercise class started again tonight. It's the third time I've done it, and it's a lot of fun. I'm just thankful I have some great people to get along with in the class and God gives me a form of exercise that I enjoy. Here's to a fun and fit summer!
Day 157 -
Thankful for the chance for extra money this summer. I am lined up to tutor four times a week this summer. One student is a sweet boy from the class this previous year, and the other student is a boy who just finished kindergarten. Yaaay! It'll be nice to work with these kiddos one on one, make a little extra money for summer fun, and I pray the Lord will let us see lots of growth from these two boys. Thank you, God, for any and all kinds of income!

365 Days of Thanks - Day 152, 153, and 154
Day 152 -
Thankful that SCHOOL'S OUT FOR THE SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Day 153 -
Thankful for God's will. Last year, at this time, school was ending, and I had no job. No classroom. It felt like I had no future. It's just funny how that's all completely different this year. God had a plan, and I'm so grateful for Him revealing it to me little by little. I had a group of kids I know I needed to be there for. I have plans that could really do some good at the school where I am. I'm closer to home, in a school district that is growing, and I have made some great friends. It was a hard year, NO doubt, but I came out okay. I survived it. And, I'm beyond blessed and thankful that I ended up with a teaching job and that the end of this school year is miles away from how the last one ended.
Day 154 -
Thankful for self control. Went out shopping today, only bought was I was set out to find. Boooy, it was hard. I have LOTS of things I want to buy right now. But, God gave me the discipline I needed to restrain. He gives us free will, but always helps us when there's a certain side of that we need to lean on. I'm thankful He's taught me the value of a dollar, via my parents, and is helping me to make sound decisions through His guidance.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 150 and 151
Day 150 -
Thankful for Steve's Grandpa and Grandma Johnson. Grandma's birthday was a week or two ago, and his grandpa's is this week. They are just like my own grandparents now. They are so sweet, loving, caring, and always in prayer for us. I am so thankful to feel like their granddaughter and to have been welcomed into their family with open arms. I absolutely love and pray for them everyday. I'm so grateful for another set of grandparents to get wisdome from and love like my own. I was blessed with the grandparent-in-law pool!
Day 151 -
Thankful for how God can give me calm and the right words to say (and not say) in a situation I'm dreading with a confrontational person. Let's just say, THANK YOU, Lord, for letting that after school meeting go as well as it probably could have today!

365 Days of Thanks - Day 142, 143, 144, 145, 146, 147, 148, and 149
Day 142 -
Thankful Grandpa getting to go home! Steve's grandfather was in the hospital over last weekend, and we are so thankful that he got to go home today (last Monday). The Lord truly watched over him and his doctors, and I'm so glad He was able to build him stronger and give everyone peace and healing.
Day 143 -
Thankful for how God lets things work out. We have a very exciting thing happening to us right now. (More on that another day, I'm thinking.) Just so grateful for how God is in control and knowing all things happen for a reason! Thank you, Lord, for answered prayers!
Day 144 -
Thankful for God bringing His believers together. There is a sweet little baby, from my home church, fighting off cancer right now. And, man - has God brought His believers together to pray and expect a miracle for his precious baby and family. I'm so thankful that God's word is true - when two or more gather, God is there, listening. Miracles can happen. And, things work out for the glorification of God. Because of us all banding together, in the faithfulness of the Father, I know great things can happen. So thankful for the testimony this can be for our God.
Day 145 -
Thankful for finding love everlasting. I'm just so in love with my husband...now and forever.
Day 146 -
Thankful for a long weekend! Even though school being out is right around the corner, it is so nice to go home on Friday, knowing I have an extra day to relax.
Day 147 -
Thankful for a weekend away with my sweet husband. I got to go on one of Steve's charter flights with him. It was so nice to just have time together, go on a movie date, and spend a night in together. The Lord gives us what we need to revive us just when we need it most.
Day 148 -
Thankful for Steve's knowledge and talent. I was beyond proud watching Steve preflight the airplane, speak to the air traffic controllers, and carry himself in a confident, professional manner while on his charter trip. He did an outstanding job! He takes his job so seriously, but has such a passion for it too. He is a completely different guy when he's flying. And, it's just so fun to watch him light up when he's the "captain." I'm just so thankful that he found something he can enjoy and make a living from. I'm so proud of him, and so thankful that God gave him such a vast knowledge and talent base. I'm so thankful the Lord put him in this ministry field.
Day 149 -
Thankful for the men and women that have given their lives to fight for and defend this great country I am blessed enough to live in. Today is Memorial Day, and it's so important to to be reminded of and think of those who are brave enough and strong enough to leave their families and save the lives of those they don't even know. I'm so grateful God gives certain people that feeling to serve and that there are those who will fight for our freedoms and safety. Thank you, Lord, for these heros. Be with their families.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 134, 135, 136, 137, 138, 139, 140, and 141
Day 134 -
Thankful for moms. Isn't that what Mother's Day is all about? A day to be mindful and incredibly thankful for your mother...the person who gave you life and loves you no matter what? The card I gave my mom sums it up just perfect, "Somehow God knew I’d need a mom just like you. Some days it must’ve taken all your patience, faith, and sense of humor – but I hope I’ve been worth it. Thanks for loving me, Mom…no matter what. You’re God’s gift to me and a blessing in my life." My mom is one of my best friends. She's my supporter, giver of life, and constant companion, advice giver, listener, and sustainer. It's hard to put into words just how thankful I am for my momma. But, the good Lord did just that...good, when He gave me to her.
Day 135 -
Thankful for the ability to not flip out when something doesn't go my way. We got word on Monday night that a house we really thought we had our heart set on didn't work out. But, I don't think I even cried a tear. At first we were pretty upset about it, so Steve and I just vented about it. And by the end of the night, we just laughed about it. The whole thing was so weird anyway, you couldn't help but laugh. I'm just so grateful that the Lord is showing me patience and trust. There is no reason to flip out - I was still healthy, happy, and had a roof over my head. This would not have been my reaction even just a couple of years ago, so I really am thankful He's growing me.
Day 136 -
Thankful for my constant income. A couple of weeks ago, I had a friend tell me how lucky we are that I have a constant source of income from my job. Steve's income fluctuates based on the weather and flight needs, but mine is the same month after month. So, I am so incredibly blessed by that. Thank you, Lord, for the sustenance and security that is. Thank you for the chance to have a job where I can have steady income, support my family, and still just live. Sometimes we don't realize the every day situations we encounter are what we should be most thankful for.
Day 137 -
Thankful for new opportunities. When God closes one door, He opens a window somewhere else. Did we find THE house tonight?!
Day 138 -
Thankful for second chances. In life, God doesn't have to give us new opportunities or second chances. But, boy am I thankful when He does. Whether it's with a relationship, a job, or to just remind yourself about something, second chances are worth taking. Just taking a second look at a situation can completely change your perspective and outlook. Thank you, Lord, for giving us a second look tonight. Help us to feel at peace with a decision that will glorify You.
Day 139 -
Thankful Sherri made it home safely! My sister had been in Tennessee for a training for work. I'm so glad she was safe while she was there and her flight got her home safely too. I'm glad the situation was better than she expected. Always, always thankful for safe travels.
Day 140 -
Thankful for good news from doctors. Steve's grandpa has been back in the hospital with some heart and breathing problems since his chemo therapy stopped. I have been so worried, but the Lord continues to let the news be better than a worse case scenario. I'm thankful that God has His healing power over Grandpa and is watching over him. I'm so thankful the doctors continue to think they can treat his problems and he can go home soon. Prayer is so powerful. Thankful and hoping for more good news to come.
Day 141 -
Thankful for Christian friends. It was so much fun to spend time with some married friends that live out of town, today. I'm just so thankful we have another Christian couple to spend time with and have fun with. That family just blesses Steve and me. They are amazing people, and I know we are all in each other's lives for a reason. Christian couples and friends are just such great people to lean on, have fellowship with, and pray for. We love the Hofmanns and Davis'!
You’re God’s gift to me and a blessing in my life." 365 Days of Thanks - Day 132 and 133
Day 132 -
So thankful for a very special room mom in my life. I had a room mom my first year of teaching who will probably never be able to be replaced. She is amazing. I'm so thankful that God gave her to me that first year and that He has allowed us to remain friends. She drove all the way to Krum today to give me a gift for teacher appreciation week. I was so surprised. What a blessing she is to the teachers who work with her sweet boys. I was so grateful to her, for going out of her way to make me feel loved and appreciated. It was just a blessing from the Lord through her. So thankful for feeling appreciated and the parents who know all the hard work we do, as teachers.
Day 133 -
Thankful for intimate love. And all it encompasses.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 131
Thankful for jobs. Thankful for my job, Steve's job, and that everyone in my families have jobs. Employment is a scarce thing in our country today. You can lose a job for no reason, in the blink of an eye. I'm so blessed that the Lord has provided for all of us, even in the midst of what seems like hell and high water. He always provides, always has a plan. I'm just incredibly thankful for this today. Working's not easy...sometimes it's the people, the policies, or just a day that's a pain in the butt. But, I think of all those that have no income, no employment, and I just become incredibly grateful that no one in my family is facing that right now. Thank you, Lord, for the trust you give us and the skills you have blessed us with to use in the work force. Thank you for letting things work out, just as You've had planned. I hope God continues to prosper and grow us all in our careers.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 128, 129, and 130
Day 128 -
Thankful Steve came home after being gone for 4 days and that he got home safely! (I'm convinced I can't be over-thankful for my husband.) :)
Day 129 -
Thankful for the power of prayer. I am so grateful that the Lord gave us a way to talk to Him and grow closer with other people. Prayer can just cover you in peace. I'm thankful I'm starting to feel that way and hope the Lord will continue to convict my heart.
Day 130 -
It's teacher appreciation week this week across many schools, both state and nation wide. I'm just thankful for my teachers that taught me as a student. They developed so much of my knowledge and interests. They took interest in me and were excellent role models. I'm thankful for my fellow teachers - the ones I get to work with now and in the past. They, too, have taught me so much. They have answered my questions, gotten to know me, and been by my side. Teachers aren't thanked enough. I am thankful for all (good) educators. It takes a special person to do this job. If you haven't lately - thank a teacher.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 126 and 127
Day 126 -
Incredibly thankful for the wisdom and guidance of my parents. I am so grateful that I can go to them with any problem (good or bad) and that they will give me Godly, life-learning advice and listen. I pray for God to increase their wisdom everyday and for our relationship to grow. Thankful for the rare times when it's just the 3 of us again and to always have their constant support.
Day 127 -
Thankful that God is in control. Thankful He knows best. Thankful He can take a storm and turn it into a sprinkle. Thankful He can calm hearts, release forgiveness, and restore relationships. Thank you, Lord, for taking my needless worries and showing me just how needless they are. Thank you, Lord, for fixing today's situation.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 122, 123, 124, and 125
Day 122 -
Thankful that we've entered the last month of the school year! Helllllo, May!
Day 123 -
Thankful for a new toy! I know we're not supposed to put pride into materialistic things, but tonight we got a new toy - an iPad! It's mainly Steve's for flying and work, but we'll get to share it, he says. :) I'm most thankful for this for Steve to have it with him when he's traveling and that we have made enough extra money lately for him to be able to purchase it. This was just the right time and year to do it, so I hope it proves to be a good buy!
Day 124 -
Thankful for the chance of a new opportunity. I'll elaborate later, but just thankful for the chance of something new to come.
Day 125 -
How many times can I be thankful for Friday and the weekend? :) And, as much as I am...I'm also thankful for a great opportunity and trip for Steve this weekend. I'm also very thankful for the extra income it will mean! God is blessing us right now...I really think He's trying to.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 117, 118, 119, 120, and 121
Day 117 -
I honestly can't remember anything specifically I was thankful for on this day. (The shame of not updating this daily.) But, I am thankful that the Lord allowed me to see April 26, 2012 and to grant me life and love on this day.
Day 118 -
Thankful for a laid back day at school. After intense review and two days of testing, it was so nice to just kick back at school today. Nothing better than an art project in the morning and a movie kind of afternoon.
Day 119 -
Thankful for the chance to have some time with my mom. I love my mom so much; she's one of my best friends. We traveled to Houston on Saturday to visit one of my best friends, and it was nice to just chat in the car and have some time together. She's a great mom and would go to the end of the world and back for me. I'm very lucky, and don't thank God enough for her.
Day 120 -
Thankful for Amanda's sweet baby shower. I'm so thankful for that best friend of mine. I'm thankful I was able to visit her and shower her and her baby-to-be with gifts and love. It was a precious shower, and I'm just glad I was able to support her. I'm so blessed to have Amanda as my friend. I'm thankful for this last bit of time with her before she becomes a mommy. It was a great weekend.
Day 121 -
Thankful for my husband's arms that hold me. I'm so grateful that the Lord deems me worthy to be a wife to such an amazing man. Just so thankful for when I need a hug and to be held the most, Steve's strong, reassuring, loving, and supporting arms are there to wrap around me.

365 Days of Thanks - Day 112, 113, 114, 115, and 116
Day 112 -
Thankful for Aggieland. On Saturday, I went to College Station with my college roommate. What a blast it was to be back in CS and back on campus. I was so reminded of what a blessing it was for me to experience college life there and grow up. I learned so much about myself, as well as making some of the best friends, and gaining knowledge and an education. Texas A&M is such a special place. I am so thankful that the Lord gave me the chance and ability to attend a school like that. Thankful for what Aggieland means to me, being reminded of the close knit family the Aggies are at Muster, and for my friends and experiences I gained there that I still carry with me.
Day 113 -
Thankful for Steve continuing to have good opportunities. He spent 3 days on a flight trip over the weekend. And, while it stinks when we're a part, I'm grateful he gets these opportunities. They not only grow our bank account (after some not so prosperous weeks), but also grow his knowledge and experience. I know the Lord is giving him all of these opportunities to prepare him for something bigger and better. So, I thank God for them when He presents them.
Day 114 -
Thankful that God's love endures forever. Sometimes, we just need to stop and remember that God loves us. No matter what - God loves us. I don't deserve it, and sometimes don't see it every second of every day as much as I should, but it endures...forever. Thank you, Lord, for loving me like that.
Day 115 -
Thankful that Tuesday was over. One STAAR test done and a bad evening done. Just thankful bad days can come to a close and new days can start fresh.
Day 116 -
Thankful that the STAAR tests are ovvvver! Whew! A lot of hard work, sweat, tears, planning, and grading went in to preparing my students for their STAAR tests, but they worked so hard! I'm really proud of them, and I hope they showed how smart they are and how much they deserve to shine. Seriously, though - glad they're over. Let's have some stress free fun for these last 20 something days!

365 Days of Thanks - Day 111
Thankful for family time. We went to see the new Disney Earth Day movie with Steve's parents and sister tonight. Great movie about the life of chimpanzees, but also great family time. When Steve was mentioning our evening plans to a friend of his, the friend replied with, "Oh - family time. Must be nice." So many times I take good, quality family time for granted. And, really - how many families do you see go to a movie together anymore? I'm so thankful that we are close enough with our families to not only have the time to spend together, but enjoy it too. It's not until you sometimes hear another person's viewpoint that you realize how grateful you are for such a simple, everyday thing. I'd be so lost without my family's (all of them) support and constant reminder of my faith. Very thankful for my family date night!

365 Days of Thanks - Day 108, 109, and 110
Day 108 -
Thankful for home cooked dinners. It's been great (on some levels) living at home again, despite the circumstances that put us here. But, my mom is a mom who always stays in "mom mode." She has been so great at switching laundry out for us, picking up things here and there, but mainly feeding us each night. She has had quite the school year, but comes home from work everyday to make dinner to feed our family. She doesn't love to cook, but tries so hard to do it without complaining. Tonight, she made something that Dad and I deemed a "keeper," and it just made me realize how thankful I am that she takes care of dinner so many nights a week, and it's not really a concern of mine. I need to tell her "thanks" for the food much more.
Day 109 -
Thankful for a mid-week date night with Steve. I guess the cat's out of the bag now - we're offically house hunting!!! So, after looking through 4 houses on Wednesday night, we went to eat at one of my favorite places (and favorite guilty, not so healthy pleasures) - Panda Express. Just nice to go out and grab a bite to eat and have conversation with my love...no special weekend and no special occasion. Thankful for every moment we spend together.
Day 110 -
Thankful for house hunting. Seriously, we have been waiting SO long to begin our hunt for our perfect first house together. I am so thankful that God has, so far, let this process work out and is letting His will be done. Our prayer is to glorify Him in this process and truly start our life together that will bring Him honor. I'm grateful for the baby steps and opportunity He's given us thus far. Leaning on Him and saying thanks every day.
